Avatar, the spirit of knowledge

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: The dessert & Humans

[Forest of time]

[Third POV]

"Why did you lie to him Chronos?" Asks Aether as he appears next his brother.

"He must learn to live by himself. If he learns directly from all of us he will become depended, a spirit of his level should not need anyone other than himself to survive in this world."

"Do you really think that the human world will help him understand himself?"

"You didn't see him like I did during the last 100 years. He was happy but not complete, it's as if a part of himself was missing. The only time he seemed genuinely excited was when he managed to learn things by himself. He hasn't noticed it yet but he has an immense thirst for knowledge."

"Shouldn't we teach him then?"

"No... It is not possible to teach him about a single subject. Every time I taught him about time, he always ended up thinking of completely random questions. His erantic thinking cannot be stopped, so I sent him somewhere he will quench his curiosity. Once he interacts with humans he will become obsesed with their way of thinking, they are one of the most chaotic races after all."

"Then we should stop him, we don't want him to take raava's side about humans matters."

"No, he won't side with them. Family is very important to him, he won't fight against us for them. What I aim to achieve by sending him there, is to learn everything they can offer, it's his job to know everything after all."

"So you figured out his concept."

"That I did."

"..."

"..."

"So? What is it?"

"He represents something that could allow him if used correctly to rule over reality itself, to bend it and change it according to his will. He represents knowledge. Which means that the Akashic record is under his ownership."

[Third POV]

[not-so-Random forest]

"What a shitty brother." Comments Solon as he immediately starts looking around.

"Where the hell did you throw me?" he asks no one in particular

'The natural energy feels weak, this must be the material world. It's so similar to the spirit world. Well, it is what it is, better get moving, I don't know what beings live here.' He thinks as he raises his guard.

"I told him that I wanted him to teach me how to survive in difficult circumstances, but NO, it's better for me to know how to brew tea."

*Sigh*

He speakes to himself with obvious anger as he walks through the trees.

'But I have to give credit where it's due. This place is amazing' he thinks as he looks upwards.

There a beautiful canopy, made from green trees filled with life, protects him from the extremely hot weather, as birds chirp around him and the sun shines throught the little space between the leaves.

[1 hour later.]

'How big is this fucking forest? I've been walking for an hour.... Wait did I finally reach the edge?' he thinks as he sees an unatural light brown on the horizon.

As he approached the new, different scenery in front of him, unaware of the fact that he run way faster that he should be able to, he saw an unending ocean of sand expanding to the horizon.

'Where the hell am I?' he thought with confusion in his voice.

Suddenly a huge amount of earth got forcefully ripped from the ground creating spikes aiming directly at Solon.

At the same time a large amount of wooden boats with a single sail attached to it go closer to him.

After about a minute Solon was surrounded by thirty human men wearing loose brown clothes, with their hands wrapped in bandages.

"Who are you outsider? We have never seen someone like you around, and it's too soon for the next water supply to arrive." asked a middle-aged dark-skinned bald man with a thick beard and a large scar across his eye.

"Greetings, my name is Solon, I am searching for Aether could you lead me to him?"

"There is no one named Aether in our setlement, and no one is foolish enough to leave the safety the lion-turtles provide just to meet a friend. So tell me the truth or I will have to take extreme measures."

"I am not lying. I really am looking for Aether."

"So you insist, very well, then you will be executed this very moment for endagering the city with your presence."

"Stop." A deep voice is heard as a huge lion-turtle carrying a large amount of stome buildings emerges from the sand of the desert farther away.

The small amount of sand in the desert's edge didn't allow the lion-turtle to move closer without destroying the city it was carrying.

"Respected lion-turtle may I know why you are stopping us from killing this man?"

"This man's importance is quite signifigant for the world's development. As such I ask of you to give him a chance to prove himself to you, but be aware that if harm befalls him, extinction of the human race will follow." advises the town's protector.

"Very well then, you outsider you will be allowed into the city for now. Don't make me regret this desicion." he says as he removes the spikes surrounding Solon.

"You don't have to worry about that I have no interest in making trouble for you or anyone in the town." he says but the man ignores him.

"Get on the sand-sailer. It will help us move faster in the desert."

After sitting on the boat, multiple men started throwing sand on the sail using it's momentum to move it to the desired direction.

"Why are you using such an inefficient way to move the boat? Can't you use the wind for it?"

"It might have missed your eyes but we are unable to bend the wind, we can only bend the earth we walk on."

"That's not what I mean why don't you rotate the earth in high speed in order to create a gust of wind."

"Do you mean to create some kind of sandstorm?"

"What is a sandstorm?"

"It's a large gust of wind that carries a lot of sand."

"Then yes but instead of the gust of wind creating it, you will use the sand to create the wind."

"An interesting idea. Shahao move out of the way, I want to try the idea this man gave."

"Yes sir."
