Avatar, the spirit of knowledge

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Bandits{3}

[Third POV]

After we got freed from his power Leni turned to his right hand man, Malin.

"I am leaving." Leni told him seriously.

"What?" He asked flabbergasted at Leni's words.

"I am leaving the group. I will go and face the consequenses of my actions."

"I see. I wish you the best." Malin said with a sigh

"Thank you." Leni said as he turned away and headed south.

"Do you regret it? Creating this group I mean?"

leni paused in his place and answered without looking back

"Malin, the only thing I regret in this life is needing a spirit to awaken me from my way of thinking."

"What are you going to do now?"

"I will become a merchant and create a family for myself. Then I will become the exact opposite of my parents."

"Then I suggest you head north instead of south. The coditions are easier there."

"No. I came from the north so I will go the opposite way and create a family name that will remind me my mistakes."

Malin smiled, proud about his friend's decision.

"What are you going to name the family?"

Leni started walking away as the sun started to set behind the trees of the forest.

"Beifong. I will create the Beifong family. A family that will strive to bring peace and equality in this world."

Malin said nothing else. He turned around and started giving orders at the rest of the people that had become part of the freedom fighters.

What both of them were unaware of was that two miles away a smile appeared in a certain spirit's face.

[Solon POV]

I admit that giving advice to unknown people I find is not the best course of action. However I can't hold back myself when I know I can push a being towards a better future. Who knows maybe some day some of these creatures will help me get rid of my boredom. Until then I will continue to search for knowledge.

[Third POV]

'I think it's time to go through the knowledge Uxie has obtained.' Thought Solon as he sat down in the edge of the road and started meditating in order to pass the night.

The very next moment his surroundings changed as his consiousnes came in his mind. He looked around the library that seemed to go on indefinitely as he searched for knowledge he had yet to comprehend.

'Ah, here they are.' He thought to himself as he took a thick book from the bookcase and sat down at a chair that appeared behind him.

The book didn't offer any new knowledge, it just analysed basic concepts in more details. It was understandable, Uxie was too young to actualy interact with high-level concepts like creation, destruction and force.

As such Solon gave him the mission to break down the four basic elements in simple pieces of information. That way he can make my experiments with particles way easier, since he will check every particularity they have in a lot of different forms.

'Uxie went beyong my expectations in this one.' Thought Solon as he saw a lot of different notes under the knowledge.

'Seems like Uxie has a lot of ideas.'

The notes were a collection of theories and personal ideas Uxie had about the four elements. It was understandable, most spirits and all of the human race used these four elements and you could get a lot of ideas about them just from seeing them getting used.

'Seems like my experiments with particles will become easier thanks to Uxie.' Solon thought as he got up and started walking once again since the sun was rising once again.

[Solon POV]

'It took me two days from meeting the bandits to the nearest town, but this place is better than expected.'

I thought as I looked around me at the large stone buildings and the humans still using the power of the earth to take down trees to make space for more of their creations.

"Halt! Who are you?"

Suddenly a voice disrupted his thoughts. Once he turned towards the root of that noice he saw a young man wearing green armor that covers his entire body with thw only exceptions being their feet, their hands and their face. He also wore a large hat made from bamboo that stopped the sun from blinding him.

"I am Solon and I am a traveler." Solon said without saying hello which showed his disatisfaction with the soldier.

The man lowered his guard just a little bit and continued to ask.

"Tell me the reason you are here. Otherwise I will have to take action against you."

"I wish to stay here for some days to decide what I want to do from now on. I would be thankful if you told me where I can stay for the night." said Solon without lying.

'I came here impulsively to see the town but I must decide what I am going to do. I can't continue running around like before.' He thought as he waited for the guard to say something.

"Very well. However I must inform you that due to the lack of housing during this time most people ssleep inside tents. You will be given one but you will most propably have to share it with other people. Lastly, make sure to avoid trouble." said the guard and left to continue his job.

Solon started wondering around the village and looking around and trying to analyse everything around him.

'They seem happy.' He though with a small smile on his face.

"Excuse me sir. Would you like to try a new kind of tea we serve?" Suddenly a voice pulled him from his thoughts.

He turned and looked towards the person that was talking to him and saw a young girl, most likely in her 20s looking at him with a smile.

"I would love to try it." Solon said with an excited smile.
