Attack On Titan- Wings of liberty*

Chapter 21: CHAPTER 21: THE TRUST

It was a beautiful morning, and as the sun bathed the world in golden light, Sana stood outside, feeling a sense of determination settle within her. She already knew what she needed to do today. The first task on her list was to speak with Erwin San, a matter she knew would require her full attention.

Before heading to Erwin's office, Sana needed to meet with her team members. As she made her way to the meeting area, she saw them already gathered, sitting properly in their Scout uniforms, exuding professionalism. In contrast, Sana was still dressed casually in her joggers and t-shirt, her preparations lagging behind.

Her team members all saluted her as she arrived, greeting her with a cheerful "Good morning!" Sana returned the greeting with a smile and a small wave. She could see the respect they had for her, something she appreciated deeply.

"Alisa, Franz, Logan," Sana called, her tone steady yet warm, "Could you please bring the books and other projects from my room?"

Alisa was a dedicated and respectful member of the team. She had a deep admiration for Sana, often seeking to learn as much as she could from her and aspiring to follow in her footsteps. Franz and Logan, childhood friends, were driven by a sense of adventure and a strong desire to contribute to saving humanity. They were always ready for action, eager to be part of something greater than themselves.

Sana had already formulated a plan for the day, and she wanted to get things underway quickly.

When the three members returned with the materials, she gathered them together.

"From today, you will all study these books and familiarize yourselves with the projects. I will teach you everything, but I have some other matters to take care of first. In the meantime, focus on understanding what's in these books. The pages are detachable, so you can each focus on one project. There are more of you than I expected, so I want you to share your ideas and discuss them with one another. Remember, if you keep your ideas to yourself, you'll progress slowly. But if you collaborate and exchange ideas, your growth will be limitless. If any of you come up with something groundbreaking, write it down and bring it to me—I'll patent it for you."

Sana paused for a moment to let the importance of patents sink in. Protecting their ideas was essential to avoid any future disputes.

"Now, I need to get ready and go to Erwin San," she added. "I have something important to discuss, and I'll be back soon."

Before leaving, she noticed five of her team members were still sitting idle.

"So, you all haven't been given anything to do?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No, ma'am," they replied in unison.

"Alright," Sana said with a knowing smile. "You can go and measure the distance between Wall Rose and Wall Maria, and also find the exact width of the gates and walls."

"Understood, ma'am," they said, ready to head off. Sana reminded them once again, "And remember, you can call me Sana."

"Okay, Sana San," they responded hesitantly, still trying to get used to addressing her so casually.

With that, Sana headed toward Erwin's office, feeling the weight of the conversation ahead. She knew it was important, and she was prepared to lay everything out.

She reached Erwin's office and knocked on the door.

"May I come in?" she asked, her voice calm but firm.

"Yes, come in," Erwin's voice called out from inside.

Sana entered the room, and Erwin greeted her with a friendly nod. "It's good to see you already at work, Sana."

Sana returned the greeting with a polite smile, but her mind was focused on the conversation she was about to have. "Erwin San, I need to discuss something important with you. Do you have time?"

"Of course," Erwin said, gesturing to the chair in front of his desk. "I'm always happy to listen to your thoughts. Please, go ahead."

Taking a deep breath, Sana began to explain her concerns. "Erwin San, I've been thinking about our current defenses. What if the Titans invade the walls? It's not an impossible scenario, right? I've examined the materials used in the construction of the walls, and I've noticed that the gates are far weaker than the walls themselves. If the gates were to fall, the Titans could easily breach Wall Maria. We could lose a lot of soldiers trying to retake it. But what if we could retake it without losing a single soldier?"

Erwin leaned forward slightly, his expression growing more serious. "So, you're suggesting that an attack is imminent?"

Sana hesitated for a moment, not wanting to overstate the danger, but she knew she had to be honest. "No... I didn't mean it like that. But I believe the attack is coming soon. It won't be like the usual Titan attacks. The Titans involved will be different. They will be controlled by humans."

Erwin's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Controlled by humans? You mean... there are people outside the walls?"

Sana nodded. "Yes. There are humans beyond the walls, and they want to destroy us. Not everyone outside is bad, but there are some factions that brainwash young generations into believing that we need to be eradicated. It's a complicated situation. But the truth is, the Titans we'll be facing will be much stronger. We don't have the weapons we need to fight them yet. We're still behind in terms of technology and strategy."

Erwin's face shifted slightly, concern lining his features. "Are we really that unprepared?"

Sana nodded gravely. "Yes, but it's not just about the Titans. There's something else I need to tell you—something about the royal family. You see, the Titans inside aren't just mindless creatures. One of them is the Founding Titan, and the other is the Attack Titan. Dr. Grisha Yeager is the Attack Titan, and he's on our side. His plan is to take the Founding Titan from the Royal Family. The Founding Titan has the power to control all other Titans, but we're running out of time. If we move too soon or if we let on that we know about it, we could jeopardize everything."

Sana took a deep breath before continuing. "We need to act carefully. The Founding Titan could be the key to defeating the Titans, but we need to make our move without anyone noticing. If we make a mistake, everything could fall apart."

Erwin listened intently, his gaze unwavering. "Understood. We'll move carefully. I trust you, Sana."

Sana's heart skipped a beat at his words. The trust he placed in her meant more than she could express. "Thank you, Erwin San. I'll keep you updated and tell you more things, but for now, we need to stay silent and remain strategic."

Erwin nodded, his expression resolute. "We'll prepare accordingly. I believe in you, Sana."

With that, Sana left Erwin's office, the weight of their conversation hanging in the air. There was much to do, and the stakes had never been higher. But for the first time, she felt like they might actually have a chance to survive the coming storm.
