Watching the scene unfolding before him, David couldn't believe his eyes. When Asta and the knight clashed in battle, David was sure that victory would belong to the knight. Even someone as inexperienced as him could tell that Asta was falling short in nearly every aspect at the beginning. But with every strike, Asta's abilities grew exponentially, and in the end, he won. What was most terrifying was that Asta was only a 12-year-old boy, who seemed to have no magical aura. Despite that, he defeated an enemy who even the rookies among knights and mages might struggle to defeat. David pondered: what kind of monster had he found?

Sekre shared the same opinion. Of course, she believed in Asta's victory, as he never gave up despite the difficulties and likely would have overcome the obstacles through sheer persistence. However, instead of that, Asta had demonstrated his incredible brilliance. In such a short time, he had defeated an experienced knight, all while being only 12 years old.

In the midst of these thoughts, Asta touched the spots where blood had been trickling from and said:

— Ouch, ouch, a bit of pain, and blood is coming out...

At that moment, David snapped out of his thoughts and called out to Asta.

— Asta, come here for a second, I'll help you.

Asta, slightly confused, approached David. David, in turn, extended his hand toward him, and his grimoire began floating in the air, flipping through pages. Then David spoke a spell:

— Light Healing Magic.

A green light stretched from David's hands toward Asta. Asta's wounds began to heal gradually, and the process was so fast that it could be seen with the naked eye. Within a few minutes, all his wounds had fully healed.

Seeing this, Asta was incredibly happy and excited.

— Wow! Is this your magic? That's so cooool!

A little embarrassed, David waved his hands as if to stop Asta's enthusiastic remarks and suggested continuing their journey.

— Let's keep moving.

Asta nodded, and they headed for the gates. Upon opening them, they entered a new room. Unlike the previous one, this one was a bit dimmer. There was no extravagant decor; instead, the ceiling, walls, and floor were made of marble. In the center of the room stood a silver knight, who, upon seeing the gates open, started moving toward them.

The battle between the knight and Asta began with the knight standing still, not moving, as if waiting for something. Asta, unsure of what to do, decided to just move forward. But as soon as he took a step, a magical circle appeared beneath his feet, and fire erupted from it. Asta quickly jumped aside, avoiding the flames, but before he could cool down, other traps appeared: sharp spikes started rising from the floor, and lightning crackled around, fiercely striking at the air.

He jumped and dodged, but the traps became more complicated. At some point, the icy spikes managed to hit him, and he quickly decided to retreat back to the gates through which he entered. On the way, he noticed a piece of marble lying on the floor. He accidentally stepped on it, and when the stone bounced, a magical trap was triggered. Suddenly, new fire rings erupted from the floor, and the storm in the air grew stronger. Asta, panicking, stumbled back, but his eyes lit up with realization.

— Does it seem like... — he thought, quickly grabbing several more pieces of marble that were lying nearby. He threw them ahead, and as soon as the stones touched the ground, the traps activated again. Fireballs, ice spikes, and lightning merged into a furious whirlwind. But Asta no longer just ran and dodged. He started to understand how this magic worked, and determination appeared in his eyes.

— I need to do something! I need to activate them all! — he shouted amidst the battle.

Without hesitation, Asta raised both his hands above his head and struck the floor with them, using all his physical strength. The marble cracked, and Asta's hands reached inside. Then he quickly struck toward the knight from under the marble. As his hands broke through the earth, pieces of marble flew in all directions, along with dust. Suddenly, all the magical traps began activating, and the air filled with explosions, fire, and ice shards. But Asta didn't stop, even as blood flowed from his wounds. He continued swinging his hands, scattering pieces of marble around the room, and with each movement, the traps activated one by one.

The stones soared into the air, magic filled the space, and Asta, with bloodied hands, ignored the pain and charged at the knight with his sword. His body was covered in cuts and wounds, but he didn't retreat, he didn't give up. He was full of fighting spirit, and despite everything happening around him, Asta was determined to win.

When he reached the knight, the knight raised his sword, but Asta, with his own sword in hand, attacked first. The clash was strong, and Asta felt his hands vibrating from the impact, but he didn't stop. He blocked another strike from the knight, but despite the injury, he kept fighting. His determination would not let him retreat.

With each passing moment, the magic in the room became more dangerous, but Asta paid it no attention. Fire burned in his eyes, and he knew he had to win. With enormous force, he struck the knight, and in that moment, when his body could no longer hold up, the knight retreated, his body starting to dissolve into the air.

Asta, breathing heavily, stood amid the rubble with bloodied hands and a determined look in his eyes. He didn't know what was happening, but at that moment, he heard a quiet voice in his mind:

— You have passed the trial of the mind.

The knight's body disappeared, leaving only emptiness, and Asta, turning his hands to the side and looking up at the ceiling, began shouting as if celebrating his victory.
