Chapter 6: Inheritance
After his battle with Ronaken Kcrow had settled down to check his rewards,The first being the legion of bloody skulls that had followed The Emperor around.
-Death End"This mystical phenomenona has persecuted the Sword Emperor for his entire life and now the curse will be passed onto you"-
-"Creates an aura of fear on those who gaze upon it,
- "Bestows upon the wielder the capacity to deny regeneration"-
"-Can eradicate souls and spirits-"
'All of these enchantments are satisfactory.'
Satisfied with the rewards Kcrow then gazed upon the hall which was hidden behind the throne before deciding to spend the rest of his 9 days here in the library reading more books but made sure to avoid those in in white and gold found at shelf number 0 so as to not encounter more information about those 9 existances.
Kcrow spend a particular amount of time studying a book which revealed information about the fates, which were the main power system of this world. He had known about their existence before but had only shallow knowledge of them.
The fates Were an set of mystical abilities That could be used by those who came into contact with the singularity,a rift in space rumored to be from another world.
Kcrow also learned more about the changeling despite him being quite knowledgeable in this regard.
The changeling were people who had encountered fragments of the frozen river of ancient Demigods and were reborn into beings with superhuman capabilities, although more common than the fated they were still very rare in the general population.
After the period of 9 days passed Kcrow decided to enter the hall but not before he bowed down to Ronaken's corpse?and took his blade.
As he stepped unto the hall he was glad to find ingredients to make food as well as water, the hall also possesed other useful things such as silk and leather.
Kcrow made a white coat, pants and shoes before leaving the library through the doorway at the opposite end of the hall.
He had also brought the rest of the silk and leather with him and left them on the floor amongst everything else he managed to carry out.
As soon as he stepped out of the hall Kcrow found himself yet again in a barren wasteland akin to when he first crossed the gate.
Kcrow traveled through the wasteland without any idea of where his destination was,his food and water were running low and his body was exhausted.
But finally he seemed to find something, although this something wasn't very pleasant news either.
Kcrow Could see two cages ,one who held a creature around the same size as him.
Looking at its anatomy it seemed tailor-made for this barren desert, with a lean body and long limbs excellent for running.
The creature possesed large claws and fangs which looked quite deadly.
In the second cage lay a massive creature of about 10 meters in height and a large frame, filled with powerful muscle and short stocky limbs.
It was full of spikes in its back.
It seemed Suitable for the snowy mountain range he had to tread in order to reach the gate.
It was equipped with a jousting Lance and had chains on both its forearms.
Next to each of the cages was a lever and in front of these levers lay two bridges, and after the bridges there was a crevice much larger than the one he had encountered before.
It seemed he would have to pull one of the levers to lower down a bridge which also meant releasing one of the beasts.
Kcrow drank and ate the rest of the water and food, rested, and pulled the second lever letting the massive abomination out.
