Ascension of the Monster Queen

That night, the dreams that Nessa got, some were quite pleasant to her, while others weren't and it made her feel different about many things that were happening and within those dreams, she saw something quite peculiar and different, something that she had never sensed before and it seemed more than real.

The next morning, while the girl was sleeping, her body temperature began rising and the demon's brows furrowed then he opened his eyes and glanced at her.

He got up from the couch then approached her and he touched her forehead then his eyes narrowed, feeling the heat coming off of her and she grabbed onto his slightly cold hands and he looked at her.

"Hey... What's with this situation? Are you always on defense mode?" He asked as his eyes narrowed and a smirk appeared on his face as he placed his hand on her waist.

Thegirl felt a shiver down her spine and she opened her eyes only to be met with his strong gaze and her cheeks flushed as she looked at her position and his eyes glowed a little.

"I am still a guy you know, this is dangerous," He said and she rubbed her hand on his chest before poking him.

"Are you checking if you are dreaming or something?" He asked and she sighed, feeling how cool his body was and she scoffed as she turned away from him.

'W- What the hell am I doing to him? What kind of reflex do I have exactly?' She thought.

The girl bowed her head and was about to move off of him, but he grabbed her arm, spinning her around and her eyes widened as she fell back against the bed and when she looked up, he was over her.

"That is not fair you know... Not in the slightest," He said as he passed his face on the side of her face and his eyes narrowed, feeling her body temperature was going down, little but little.

'This is not good, this is still my fault, no matter which direction I look at it from, he is not going to let this go easily, it's clearly written in those mischievous eyes of his,' She thought.

"Hmm, this is my fault, you are right, I should have been more careful, after all, you are still a guy, so are you going to accept my apology or do you want something else?" She asked with a piercing look in her eyes and his eyes narrowed.

"What are you going to do if I took the other card huh?" He asked.

"I am not a kid anymore, you know..." She responded and he scoffed as he leaned in closer and she looked at him with her brows furrowed.

"Damn it... You really know how to press someone's buttons," He said as she felt his breath brushed against her cheeks, which were slightly flushed.

"Then, I take it as you will accept my apology," She replied, pushing him aside and rushing off of the bed and he chuckled as he looked at her.

"You scramble pretty fast, you okay though?" He asked and she came to a halt then lowered her head before holding onto her chest, which shimmered slightly.

"Yeah.. I am fine, sorry," She responded as she glanced at him.

"I don't mind, I will go along with you, after all, all of this is too interesting to walk away from, I want to see hoe it will play out for you," He said and she scoffed then grabbed her clothes and went to freshen up.

The demon laid back and looked at his glowing hand before clenching his fist and a marking appeared in both of his eyes, which were glowing, while mixing dark colours.

"There is something weird about her as well as all of this, something that doesn't make any sense, I get most of it already, it's most a fight for overall power but there is more to it," He said before exhaling deeply and closing his eyes.

A little while after, when Nessa finished freshening up, she got dressed then left the bathroom and she glanced at him, as his hair blew in front of his eyes and the sunlight reflected on him, making him look peaceful as well as graceful and his eyes narrowed.

"You are like a pretty girl," She said and he coughed then looked at her.

"Huh? A pretty girl? Who the hell are you talking about exactly?" He asked and a smile appeared on her face as she was taking care of her hair.

"You... You looked graceful there, before you got up," She responded and he chuckled.

"You are just like a fox, aren't you?" He asked and she chuckled, for she understood what he meant when he said that to her and she wanted to laugh but held back.

"Think what you want, you are free to do that, I have a few things to do today, I won't be around for a while, tell the others, do as you please as well but don't cause any trouble, got that?" She asked and his eyes narrowed.

"Yeah, I get it, I won't cause trouble and will get along with the others, don't worry, after all, I will be gone soon," He responded then she left the room and held onto her chest.

"I promised you that I will take you out, I asked you to give me one more day and you did, I will take you out today, today will be the day you return to where you belong, beside me," She said and the dragon within, heard what she said.

Nessa knew that taking the dragon out, will pull some of her energy but it wasn't something that would take a few hours to regain and decided to keep her promise now, for things were getting a lot more serious and the enemies are starting to step out of the shadow more and their biggest target was now her.
