As I Have One Month Left to Live, I Raised the Naive Empress into a Yandere

Chapter 2

Chapter 2: I Order You to Slap Me to Death:

Chen Jin touched his swollen cheek, his anger boiling over as he raised his fist again. “You b*****d! Who do you think you are? How dare you hit me?”

“What’s your identity? And what’s mine? How dare you even think of laying a hand on me? You clearly need a lesson! If I don’t teach you today, you’ll never understand who’s the eldest son of the Chen family and who’s just a lowly servant’s child.”

Snap!

Another loud slap resounded in the square, leaving a fresh red mark on Chen Jin’s other cheek.

Chen Mo glared at him coldly. “When I ask you a question, answer it. Why are you talking so much nonsense? If you keep this up, I’ll knock your head off.”

Having inherited the memories of the original Chen Mo, he felt no fondness for his so-called eldest brother. In fact, he detested him to the extreme—especially since Chen Jin had insulted his deceased mother repeatedly.

He couldn’t hold back anymore.

As Chen Jin grew furious and tried to retaliate, Chen Mo punched him several times. The blows were so harsh that Chen Jin could only howl in pain.

“Fine! Fine! Ye Liangchen, right? I remember him!” Chen Jin finally relented, the arrogance in his tone long gone.

The name “Ye Liangchen” was fresh in his mind, and he started recounting what had happened.

As a scholar, Chen Jin had always prided himself on his refined upbringing. But beneath that façade, he enjoyed frequenting brothels under the guise of helping the women there escape their misery. Using money, he would “rescue” them and bask in their gratitude.

Just last night, he had gone to Fengming Tower and spotted Xian’er, the oiran of the establishment. Captivated by her beauty, he spent a fortune to “help” her, convinced she was another damsel in distress.

However, as luck would have it, a young man appeared and contested him for Xian’er’s attention.

Being a scholar with no fighting ability, Chen Jin couldn’t compete physically, but he unleashed a barrage of insults, cursing the young man’s ancestors through eighteen generations.

“That young man… was Ye Liangchen?”

Chen Mo’s face darkened as he listened, his heart sinking with an ominous feeling.

“Yes, he introduced himself as Ye Liangchen,” Chen Jin confirmed.

“And what happened to Xian’er in the end?”

“She came with me, of course! Ye Liangchen had no money and couldn’t outbid me. I rescued her and even touched her hands… oh, and her buttocks,” Chen Jin added smugly.

Chen Mo’s heart skipped a beat. He felt an overwhelming sense of dread.

Last night, Ye Liangchen had spared Chen Jin only because he was new to the imperial capital and didn’t have money on hand. But that didn’t mean he had forgotten the humiliation. Ye Liangchen was the type to settle scores—and thoroughly.

After sneaking into Chen Jin’s room to kidnap Xian’er, Ye Liangchen learned how Chen Jin had taken liberties with her. Enraged, he vowed to exact revenge.

Though urgent matters at the border had temporarily drawn Ye Liangchen away, his return would spell doom for the Chen family.

And when Ye Liangchen retaliated, it wasn’t just Chen Jin who suffered. The entire Chen family was obliterated. Even Chen Mo, the family’s neglected third son, didn’t escape.

“You idiot! Do you realize what you’ve done?” Chen Mo slapped Chen Jin again, his voice trembling with anger.

Chen Jin, bewildered and frightened, couldn’t comprehend why his third brother was so enraged.

“Has he gone mad?” Chen Jin thought, attempting to flee. But before he could escape, Chen Mo tackled him, pinning him to the ground and beating him mercilessly.

The onlookers in the square stepped back, unwilling to intervene in what was clearly a family matter.

“Stop!”

A loud voice rang out, and a middle-aged man in black robes approached in a hurry.

It was Xu Cheng, the Chen family patriarch’s most loyal confidant. Known for his ruthlessness, Xu Cheng would do anything for the family head—even sacrifice his own life.

When Ye Liangchen later destroyed the Chen family, Xu Cheng had been the one to hold him back momentarily, buying the family head time to escape. Unfortunately, the disparity in strength proved fatal for Xu Cheng, and the patriarch also failed to survive.

Following Xu Cheng were several young men dressed as servants, all part of the Chen household.

Seeing Xu Cheng, Chen Jin, now beaten beyond recognition, cried out as if he’d found salvation. “Uncle Xu! Save me! This lunatic has lost his mind. Teach him a lesson!”

Xu Cheng, ever loyal to the patriarch, had always favored Chen Jin, the family’s golden child.

Seeing him in such a state made Xu Cheng’s expression darken.

But Chen Mo didn’t stop. Instead, he hit Chen Jin even harder.

Finally, Xu Cheng stepped forward, placing a heavy hand on Chen Mo’s shoulder. His fingers dug in like claws, sending waves of pain through Chen Mo’s body.

“Third Young Master, that’s enough,” Xu Cheng said coldly, tightening his grip.

Chen Mo winced but didn’t flinch. His face twisted in pain, but his eyes burned with defiance.

“Uncle Xu, teach this ungrateful beast a lesson! He doesn’t even know how to respect his elders!” Chen Jin shouted, emboldened by Xu Cheng’s presence.

“Xu Cheng,” Chen Mo growled, interrupting Chen Jin mid-sentence.

Xu Cheng hesitated, startled by the Third Young Master’s uncharacteristically bold tone.

Chen Jin smirked, certain that his brother would now beg for mercy.

But instead, Chen Mo’s voice rang out, fierce and unyielding. “Xu Cheng, I order you to slap me to death. Do it now!”
