As a Symbiote in Marvel multiverse

Chapter 45: Destroyer of the Multiverse

**Earth-928, Spider Society**

As the group entered the towering headquarters, Gwen-66 and Miles Morales couldn't help but marvel at the advanced technology surrounding them. Holographic displays floated in mid-air, and spider-people zipped across various levels on intricate web-like pathways.

Peter however kept a neutral expression with his hands casually tucked into his pockets. Beside him, Gwen-65 walked silently behind Jessica who occasionally sneaking uncertain glances at Peter with her inner conflict visible.

They soon reached a dimly lit room, where the only source of light was a massive holographic screen at the center. Surrounding it were smaller holographic displays, each projecting data streams and images. At the center of it all stood Miguel O'Hara with his back turned to the group as he stared at the central display.

Jessica broke the silence. "They're here," she announced.

Jessica led Gwen-65 to stand a few feet away from Peter, Gwen-66, and Miles. Both Gwen-66 and Miles exchanged confused glances while sensing the tension in the air but unsure of its cause.

Miguel raised his head slightly before turning to face the group. His sharp features were set in a stern expression. Peter, meanwhile, had already noted the faint distortions in the room—an indication of cloaked figures surrounding them.

Peter then waved cheerfully with a carefree smile on his face. "Hi, Miguel. How's it going?"

Miguel's brows furrowed and his lips twitched in irritation at Peter's nonchalant attitude. He exhaled sharply while trying to keep his composure. Lyla, Miguel's AI assistant, materialized beside him and her usual playful demeanor replaced with a more serious expression.

Miguel's gaze swept over Gwen-66 and Miles before settling on Peter. "Do you have any idea what you just did?" he began, his tone clipped. "You blew a hole in the multiverse."

He turned sharply to Peter. "I'll get back to you in a second."

Then he faced Miles with hard expression, "And you—do you even realize what you've done? Traveling to different dimensions, saving people... Do you think it's all just a game? Do you know the damage you've caused?"

Miles who is confused but defiant stepped forward. "What did I do? Is helping people now a crime?"

Gwen-65 quickly intervened. "Miguel, he didn't know. He's new to all of this."

Miles turned to her with his brows furrowing. "Didn't know what? What aren't you telling me?"

Miguel cut in sharply. "But you knew, Gwen. You were there, and you let it happen. You let him disrupt the multiverse. Now, because of you, there's a hole in the Spider-Verse."

Peter sighed audibly while drawing everyone's attention. "Oh, come on, man. Is this your thing? Scaring the new kid with your 'multiverse is doomed' nonsense? Honestly, it's getting old. How about we skip the lecture and get to the point?"

The room went silent as all eyes turned to Peter. His hands were still in his pockets, and he wore a faint smirk.

Miguel's jaw tightened. "Lyla, explain to him what's at stake."

Lyla projected a large holographic model of the multiverse, displaying the interconnected web of dimensions.

Miguel turned to the holographic display Lyla had projected, motioning toward the intricate network of glowing threads connecting countless nodes. Each node pulsed with energy, representing a dimension tied to the Spider-Verse.

Miguel stepped forward while pointing at the central node. "This is the Spider-Verse—a fragile, interconnected web of realities that hinges on balance. Each of these nodes represents a dimension, and every spider-person in that dimension is a vital thread. If one thread is pulled too hard or severed, the entire web can unravel."

As Miguel explained, Miles listened intently while trying to piece everything together. Peter, meanwhile, leaned casually against a nearby console.

"Just so you know, kid," Peter said with a smirk, "I'm the one who came up with the name 'Spider-Verse.'"

Miles glanced at him, his tense expression easing slightly. "Really? That's a cool name."

Peter grinned. "Thanks. I thought so too."

Miguel shot Peter a glare, "This isn't a joke, Parker."

Peter shrugged. "I didn't say it was. But maybe you could explain all of this without acting like the universe is about to end every five seconds."

Miguel pinched the bridge of his nose, muttering under his breath before turning his attention back to the hologram.

The tension in the room remained thick, but Peter's calm demeanor seemed to lighten the mood, at least for Miles and Gwen-66.

He gestured to a few pulsing points. "Every spider-person has their role. Every event they experience is part of their canon—an absolute point in their timeline that shapes who they are and maintains the balance of their universe. When you interfere with those events—" he jabbed a finger toward Miles, "—you're not just saving lives. You're tampering with the natural order, and that has consequences."

Miles stepped forward with his brows furrowed in confusion. "Wait, hold up. What do you mean 'canon'? Are you saying we're... stuck? That we can't change anything in our own lives?"

He looked around to see the canon events of all Spider people, death of Uncle Ben in some, death of Aunt May in some and death of people close to Spider man is others.

Miguel locked eyes with him firmly. "Exactly. Certain events must happen. Uncle Ben's death. Captain Stacy's sacrifice." He turned to Gwen-65, whose expression grew somber as her eyes lowered to the floor.

Miles then saw the death of Captain George Stacy while spider man is holding is hand with his head down.

Gwen-66 is shocked to see all this and turned to Peter who hugged her and nodded his head.

She then looked at the hologram which displayed several line ups of deaths. "So, you're saying every spider-person has to go through pain and suffering because it's 'meant to be'? That's the grand plan? It doesn't seem fair." She looked straight at Miguel.

Miguel's fists clenched while rising his voice . "It's not about what's fair, Stacy! It's about survival. When those canon events are disrupted, they destabilize entire dimensions. I've seen it happen."

Lyla flicked her hand, and the holographic display shifted, showing a universe collapsing in on itself, buildings and people dissolving into swirling particles of light.

Miguel continued. "This is Earth-709. A dimension where a Spider-Man saved a police captain who was supposed to die. The result? A dimensional collapse. Billions of lives lost in a matter of seconds."

Miles stared at the projection with his face falling. "That's... That's insane. So you're saying if I save someone who's 'meant to die,' my world could end?"

Miguel nodded grimly. "It's not a possibility. It's a certainty."

Gwen-66 folded her arms, "But isn't it our job to save people? That's what being Spider-Man—or Spider-Woman—is about. How can you expect us to just stand there and let it happen?"

Miguel turned his gaze to her with his tone unwavering. "It's not about what we want. It's about what we have to do. If you can't accept that, you're a danger to the multiverse."

Miguel turned back to the group with his face a mixture of frustration and urgency. He pointed to the monitor, which displayed live footage of Spider-People working tirelessly near what appeared to be a black hole-like anomaly. The edges of the screen flickered with instability, a visual reminder of the chaos unfolding in that dimension.

"Miles," Miguel said, "Do you see that? That's your doing. You saved Captain Singh when he was supposed to die, and now his world is collapsing into itself. If we're lucky, we might be able to stabilize it, but let me be clear—luck is not something we can count on."

Miles stared at the screen with his breathing uneven. The images of the black hole swallowing entire city blocks left a sinking feeling in his stomach. "So... what? You're saying we're just prisoners of fate? That no matter what we do, bad things have to happen to us?"

Before Miguel could respond, Peter stepped forward with his calm and confident demeanor cutting through the tension. "Miles, don't let him scare you. Sure, there's some truth to what he's saying, but the Spider-Verse isn't as black-and-white as Miguel likes to paint it."

Miguel's eyes narrowed as he turned to Peter with his frustration boiling over. "And what would you know about it, Parker? You've been hopping between dimensions, breaking canon left and right. You're a walking anomaly."

Peter smirked, "Exactly. And yet, here we are—no dimensional collapses, no multiversal implosions. Maybe these rules aren't as rigid as you think."

Miguel clenched his fists as he brought up another holographic display. This time, the screen showed four branches extending from a larger tree-like structure, their glowing threads moving closer and closer to one another.

"You're playing with fire, Parker," Miguel said in icy tone, "Just because you've been lucky so far doesn't mean you always will be. See these branches? These are timelines you've entered. They're converging, and in a few years—maybe even months—they'll collide and destroy everything connected to them."

He turned to face Peter directly with his finger pointing at him like an accusation. "We've identified the common point in all of them. It's you, Parker. You're the catalyst for the destruction of not one, but four different timelines."

Gwen-66's face went pale as she instinctively moved closer to Peter, wrapping her arms around him in a protective embrace. Her voice trembled as she whispered, "Peter... is this true? Are you really causing this?"

Peter's expression turned serious, a rare shift from his usual laid-back demeanor. He gently held Gwen's hand and stepped toward the display. "Look closer," he said, taking control of the panel and zooming into the holographic branches. He fast-forwarded the simulation, showing the branches not colliding in a destructive event but instead merging together to form a new, unified branch.

The room went silent as the display revealed a stable timeline emerging from the convergence. Gwen-66, Jessica, and Miles watched in awe, their initial fear replaced by curiosity and wonder.

Peter looked back at Miguel, his voice steady. "See? These branches aren't causing an incursion which is the collision of different realities. They're not destroying each other. They're merging into something new—a new reality, a new possibility. This isn't chaos, Miguel. This is evolution."

Miguel's jaw tightened as he glared at the screen. "You're twisting this to fit your narrative, Parker. These changes aren't natural. They're a direct result of your interference. You're not creating evolution—you're destabilizing the entire multiverse."

Peter crossed his arms, "And yet, the evidence says otherwise. The multiverse isn't breaking—it's adapting. Maybe the 'canon' you're so obsessed with isn't as absolute as you think."

Miguel's frustration boiled over as he brought up more images on the screen. This time, they were snapshots of key events: Gwen-66's past canon events, then images of Peter and Gwen-66 holding a baby, the rise of Parker Industries, and an army of symbiotes with Peter leading them at the front.

Miguel pointed at the images, his voice rising. "Do you see this, Parker? These events are changing too quickly. They're no longer canon. They're anomalies caused by you. You're disrupting everything—the Spider-Verse, the timelines, the natural order. You're not a hero here, Parker. You're a destroyer of the multiverse."

The weight of Miguel's words hung heavy in the air. Gwen-66 tightened her grip on Peter, her worried eyes searching his face for reassurance. Peter nodded at her with a smile.

Miles looked back and forth between Miguel and Peter, trying to process the conflicting narratives.

Peter finally turned to Miles, as his expression softened. He placed a hand on the young Spider-Man's shoulder. "Listen, kid. Don't let others opinion cloud your judgment. You're Spider-Man because you care. That's what makes you special. Don't let anyone take that away from you—not me, not Miguel, not anyone. But you've got to be smart. Understand the risks, yes, but don't let fear stop you from doing what's right."

Miguel shook his head with his voice laced with frustration. "And that's exactly the problem, Parker. You don't understand the risks. You're too reckless, too willing to gamble with the lives of countless worlds. This isn't about fear—it's about responsibility. Something you've clearly forgotten."

Peter's expression hardened as he met Miguel's glare. "Responsibility doesn't mean blindly following rules, Miguel. It means making the hard choices, even when the odds are against you. You can call me a destroyer all you want, but I'm not going to stop fighting for me and my family—even if it means rewriting the rules."

The room fell silent again and the tension is palpable. Miguel backed away and his shoulders tense as Lyla flickered beside him with serious expression.

"You left me with no choice, Parker." As soon as the words left Miguel's mouth, the surroundings light came up and many different versions of Spiderman and Spider women surrounded them all.

Gwen-66 stepped closer to Peter, " Peter something isn't right.' she then turned to Jessica, "Jess, what's going on?"

But Jessica looked away from her much to her shock.

Miguel spread his hands, "This will end here and now. No more anamolis running around."

Peter smirked as he looked at Miguel in the eyes, "Just remember you started this."
