As a Symbiote in Marvel multiverse

Chapter 10: Spider-Heartstrings and The Multiverse Fugitive

The day unfolded with a rare sense of calm in New York City. After the chaos of the Lizard attacks, the absence of danger felt like a gift. For Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, it was the perfect opportunity to unwind.

As Gwen stepped out of her house, Peter, waiting by the gate, froze for a moment, taking in the sight of her.

She said he can't look at what dress she is wearing and he did so as he too wanted to have a surprise.

She wore a simple yet elegant sundress, and her usual radiant confidence made it even more dazzling.

"You look beautiful," Peter said with a soft voice.

Gwen raised an eyebrow with a playful smirk on her lips. "Am I not always?"

Peter stammered, "I mean—you are! I just meant that dress makes you look even more beautiful today."

Gwen tilted her head with a teasing glint in her eyes. "Peter, I've worn this dress five times already, and now you notice?"

Peter's face flushed as he scrambled for a response, but when he glanced into her thoughts through their telepathic bond, he caught her laughing internally.

"You're messing with me, aren't you?" he asked while narrowing his eyes.

Gwen chuckled and leaned in to kiss his cheek. "You can't tell without looking into my head, huh?"

"How did you—"

"You're not the only one who can see through me, Peter," she interrupted, smiling as she hooked her arm through his. "Come on, let's go."

They walked toward the nearby park, where the golden afternoon sun bathed the city in warm light.

---

The date started with a leisurely stroll, where they passed street performers and small vendors. They stopped at a food cart to grab pretzels and soda.

Peter made a joke about how New York pretzels could be considered "superfood," given their uncanny ability to lift any bad mood. Gwen laughed, brushing a strand of hair from her face as she nudged him playfully.

Next, they headed to an open-air art exhibit near the park. Gwen, ever the intellectual, admired the intricate sculptures and paintings. Peter, meanwhile, took more joy in watching her as she described her interpretations of the pieces, her enthusiasm lighting up her face.

"What do you think of this one?" Gwen asked, pointing to an abstract painting of swirling colors.

Peter scratched his head. "Uh… it looks like the time I accidentally spilled paint all over Aunt May's kitchen floor."

Gwen burst into laughter while clutching his arm. "You're hopeless, Peter."

"Hopelessly in love with you, maybe," he quipped, but internally cringed about his own response.

As the sun dipped lower in the sky, they headed to a rooftop café that Peter had discovered this place while searching online for date spots. The view overlooked the city, the skyline glowing in shades of orange and pink.

"This is amazing," Gwen's voice is soft as she took in the view.

"I figured you'd like it," Peter replied, pulling out her chair like a proper gentleman.

They ordered coffee and cheesecake, chatting about everything from school to their fights as Spider-Man and Ghost Spider.

Gwen teased him about his web-slinging technique, and Peter defended himself by claiming he was simply "freestyling."

When their food arrived, Peter casually reached over with his fork to steal a bite of Gwen's cheesecake.

"Hey!" Gwen protested, swatting his hand.

"What? Sharing is caring," Peter said with a grin.

"Fine," Gwen said, smirking as she picked up a piece of his cake with her fork and ate it. "Two can play that game."

The rooftop date was interrupted by a deafening explosion in the distance. Smoke rose from the source, painting the evening sky with gray plumes. Peter sighed deeply.

"Can't we have just one normal day?"

Gwen who is already scanning the scene, spotted the origin of the blast. "Nope. Looks like we're back on the clock."

Without hesitation, she darted toward an empty corner of the rooftop. Her dress morphed seamlessly into her black Ghost Spider suit, and she leaped over the railing.

Peter shook his head as he tossed a few bills on the table. "I'm not getting dessert in peace." He went to the same place Gwen was before and his casual attire morphed into his black Spider-Man suit, and he vaulted into the air, swinging after her.

As they reached the site of the explosion, chaos unfolded before them. Cars were overturned, debris scattered across the street.

A massive tentacle monster was wreaking havoc, its slimy appendages flailing wildly. A girl around their age was running for her life, barely dodging the creature's attacks.

Peter and Gwen landed on the wall of a nearby building, clinging effortlessly to the surface.

"Hey," Gwen said, tilting her head toward the monster. "One of yours?"

Peter studied the scene. The monster looked familiar, as did the girl. He hesitated before shaking his head. "Nope, It's not a symbiote. But something about this feels... off."

"Right," Gwen said, springing into action. "I'll get the civilians. You deal with the tentacle freak."

Peter nodded and launched himself toward the monster. One of its slimy appendages had wrapped around the girl, lifting her into the air. Without hesitation, Peter extended a tentacle of his own from his back, slicing through the creature's limb.

The girl screamed as she plummeted, but Gwen was faster. She caught the girl midair, swinging her safely to the ground.

"Gotcha," Gwen said softly, setting her down.

Meanwhile, Peter landed on top of the monster. His black tendrils surged forward, enveloping the beast in one swift motion.

"Predator," he whispered, consuming the creature in a matter of seconds.

> Minor magic resistance acquired.

> Minor magic aptitude acquired.

Peter frowned. "This thing is weak," he muttered. "What's the deal?" Then he froze, realizing something crucial. This wasn't just a monster—it was a summon.

He turned his attention to the girl, who was staring at him with wide, astonished eyes. Recognition clicked in his mind. "America Chavez?"

America was still catching her breath, her expression equal parts shock and relief. Before she could respond, Peter swung down and scooped her into his arms.

"Hold on," he said, taking off into the air.

Gwen watched the scene unfold from a distance, her mind spinning. She froze when she saw Peter pull the girl into an embrace before swinging away with her. For a brief moment, her heart clenched, but she shook it off, leaping into action to follow them.

As she swung alongside him, she called out, "Hey, mind explaining why we're playing superhero chauffeur?"

Peter glanced at her, keeping his hold on America secure. "I'll explain later. Right now, we need to figure out who summoned that thing—and why."

America finally found her voice. "Thanks for saving me, but can you put me down."

Peter smirked beneath his mask. "Yeah, well, next time, try not to lead a giant tentacle monster through the city, and we'll call it even."

"Trust me," America shot back, "this wasn't my idea."

Gwen sighed. "Perfect. Another mystery. Just what we needed."

.

.

.

Peter, Gwen, and America landed on an empty rooftop. Peter set America down gently before stepping back. Gwen landed a few moments later, she crossed her arms and her eyes are narrowing at Peter.

"Mind explaining why you swung off with her without a word?" Gwen said in a sharp tone.

Peter rolled his eyes. "Relax. I was just making sure she didn't get snatched by another tentacle monster. Now, why don't we get some introductions out of the way?"

He turned to America. "I'm Spider-Man, and that's Ghost Spider." He gestured toward Gwen. "You are?"

America hesitated but her guarded demeanor softening slightly. "America Chavez," she said. "And... thanks, I guess. You saved me back there."

"No problem," Peter said casually. "Now, care to explain why a tentacle monster was chasing you around New York City?"

America sighed and rubbed the back of her neck. "It's a long story, but here's the short version: I have this power. I can travel across the multiverse. But for some reason, these creatures keep coming after me. I don't know who's sending them or why, but I've been on the run ever since. And the worst thing is I don't even know how to control my power."

Gwen's eyes widened. "Wait. Multiverse? As in, other dimensions? Parallel worlds? That multiverse?"

America nodded.

Gwen gasped, her excitement bubbling over. "This is incredible! Do you realize what a huge discovery this is? The scientific implications alone—"

Peter held up a hand, cutting her off. "Alright honey, breathe. We're not writing a thesis here."

Gwen spun to face him, her excitement giving way to indignation. "Why are you acting so calm about this? This is the multiverse we're talking about! This changes everything we know!"

Peter shrugged and focused on the immediate problem.

He frowned as he thought about America's situation. He didn't want to get too involved, especially since her story is tied to the Scarlet Witch. He knew he wasn't strong enough to deal with Wanda Maximoff—at least, not yet.

After a moment, he smirked. "How about this? I help you train your powers," he suggested, cutting off Gwen mid-question about what other dimensions America had visited.

America raised an eyebrow. "Train me? Do you even know how my powers work?"

Peter smiled confidently, turning to Gwen. Her eyes widened as she realized what he was about to suggest.

"No," she said firmly. "Absolutely not. I'm not agreeing to this."

America blinked, confused. "Wait, what are you two talking about?"

Peter's grin widened. "It's simple. I can go inside you and help you understand your powers better."

America stared at him, her brain momentarily short-circuiting. "Go... inside me?" she repeated as her voice laced with disbelief.

Gwen stepped in front of her protectively. "Yeah, that's exactly what he means. And before you freak out, it's not as bad as it sounds. He's done it to me before. It's... weird, but it works."

America blinked several times, trying to process what she'd just heard. "You want to... go inside me? Like, literally?"

Peter nodded. "Yep. I'll help you unlock control over them, and you won't have any problem with using your power."

America hesitated, glancing between Peter and Gwen. "And you're okay with this? Aren't you his girlfriend or something."

Gwen sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I'm not really okay with this. But he's good at this sort of thing."

America crossed her arms, still skeptical. "This is absolutely nuts, you wanted to have sex with me the first time we met."

Gwen and Peter bothe are stunned after hearing that.

Soon, Peter rubbed his templates, "It's not what you think it is. I can go inside your mind and help you understand your powers better. Think of it like a guided tour through your own abilities. I'll help you unlock control over them."

America blushed that she misunderstood, but thier words sounded like that. But she didn't know if she can trust them or not.

But if there is some chance that she can control her powers, She is willing to take it.

"Alright. Fine. But if this gets weird, I'm punching you into another dimension."

Peter chuckled. "Fair enough. Let's get started."

America braced herself, uncertain of what she was getting into, as Peter approached. Gwen watched as she is feeling uneasy but trusting Peter's intentions.
