Chapter 66 Major Terror! When Wang Yun Encounters the Real Drug Traffickers!
Drug traffickers re society’s most malignant tumors. They shatter countless families and amass vast profits. Some powerful drug syndicates are even armed with formidable weapons.
In Yun Province, a covert investigation into a major drug trafficking organization had been underway for half a year. However, due to underestimating the traffickers’ capabilities, they managed to slip away during an operation, resulting in the loss of three officers.
This loss was a deep wound in the hearts of all narcotics officers. Their resolve was only strengthened to eradicate that drug cartel. Following the remnants of the traffickers’ trail, they zeroed in on Nancheng.
Inside an office at the Nancheng Central Bureau, a stern-faced middle-aged man with distinctive square features issued an order, “These audacious drug dealers are heavily armed. With thirteen suspected locations, each one must be meticulously investigated, and swiftly. Every passing day puts our citizens at risk. We will not rest until they are all apprehended. Mobilize, and search every site.”
“Yes!”
“We swear to eradicate these drug traffickers and seek vengeance for our fallen comrades!”
The narcotics officers immediately rose, shouting with fervor and determination, their spirits ablaze with passion.
“Fellow officers, some of you should rest. In Nancheng, we too boast our own elite forces. Together, we will confront and obliterate the traffickers,” another solemn middle-aged man declared, sweeping his gaze across the room. “United, we stand. Eradicate the traffickers!”
Their commitment to destroying the drug menace was unyielding.

Elsewhere, at Hu Mountain Residential Area, in front of a half-built complex lacking even a main gate, the taxi driver asked Wang Yun, “Young man, this is the place. Do you live here?”
“No, a friend asked me to check it out,” Wang Yun responded, giving the driver a brief glance.
“I tought you lived here. This development swindled many people. Some of its homeowners, out of sheer desperation, have even started living inside,” the driver remarked, shaking his head in sympathy.
Wang Yun ndded in a soft acknowledgment, paid the fare, and headed straight toward the unfinished building.
Once inside, he noticed pockets of light here and there, clearly powered by generators. Though not widespread, there were about a dozen places lit up.
Wang Yun walked toward the temporary shelter he’d set up earlier that afternoon.
“Someone else is on the second floor? Maybe I should get myself a generator too,” he thought aloud.
The abandoned structure, intended to house two stairwells with six units each, lacked proper doors due to its unfinished state. When he reached the second floor, a soft glow and muffled voices emerged from a neighboring unit, momentarily arresting his attention. Shrugging it off, he continued murmuring to himself as he moved towards his dwelling.
“So Big Brother’s using a generator. Planning to settle here for the long haul, it seems.”
“With Big Brother tucked away here, it’ll be quite a challenge for the Program Inspection Team to nab him.”
“Indeed. Big Brother’s knack for hideouts is uncanny. Just surrender, Big Brother. We’re leaning toward the Program Inspection Team now.”
“Big Brother’s wits are sharp. He’s toned down the bravado but upped the craftiness. With that brain, heightened strength, and weapons, he’s killed five from the program officers, and two captains. He’s a genuine criminal now.”
“I’ve got to admit, I miss the old Big Brother. This new ‘Outlaw Tian’ version? Not so much.”
Around 9 PM, at the live stream’s peak, millions of viewers animatedly conversed. The recent twists had elicited a swirl of emotions in the audience, leaving even some of Wang Yun’s ardent fans ambivalent about their allegiance.

At that exact instant, within a dimly illuminated room, a group of young to middle-aged individuals were gathered. Tucked away in a corner, a young couple and their two children, a boy and a girl, were huddled. They were bound, quaking uncontrollably, faces painted with sheer terror.
“Someone there?”
Upon hearing some noises outside, the middle-aged leader immediately became alert and signaled to two young men. Understanding the gesture, they quickly pulled guns from their jackets and cautiously started moving forward, their eyes fixed on Wang Yun’s room.
“Tsk, tsk. My shock value has reached over five million. Quite the windfall.”
While seated on the mattress he’d acquired earlier, Wang Yun activated his phone’s flashlight.
Observing his shock value, a broad smile formed on his face. This was indeed a big score. Five million in shock value meant he could acquire five divine-level skills.
“Hmm? What’s happening?”
About to spend some of his points, he suddenly paused, catching a faint sound. His brow furrowed in concentration.
“Purchase advanced Hearing.”
Without a second thought, he spent a hundred thousand of his shock points. Almost immediately, his ears subtly twitched.
Two people were drawing near. But why so stealthily? Could they be from the program inspection team?
Unlikely. Had they been from the team, they’d be aware of his strengths and wouldn’t dare approach so hastily. Furthermore, Wang Yun was certain he couldn’t have been detected so soon.
“They must be from that room earlier. But why are they sneaking around?” Wang Yun mused, his mind racing.
Quickly scanning his surroundings, he positioned a mirror to reflect the entryway. He then gracefully moved next to the exit, pressing himself against the wall. His divine skill, Eagle Eye, allowed him to keenly observe the encroaching figures via the mirror.
As they arrived at his doorway, he stiffened. Both young men were armed.
His pupils dilated, first focusing on the guns and then shifting to study the faces of the two men. The god level skill, Alertness, unsettled him.
“Purchase God-level Marksmanship. Purchase god-Level Martial Arts.”
This sudden twist ignited a looming sense of dread within him.
Wang Yun gritted his teeth and swiftly depleted nearly two million shock points. As the armed figures drew closer, he discerned through the mirror that these men weren’t police officers. His mind raced.
The figures cautiously approached. The door clicked as they reached inside.
“You damn police officers?”
The instant they stepped in, Wang Yun’s anger exploded, roaring at them and grabbed their weapons. Upon feeling their weapons, he realized these were real firearms, not the props from the show. In contrast, he aimed a show’s prop gun at them.
“You think you’ve cornered me, cops? I’ll end you,” Wang Yun thundered, his face contorted with menace.
“Brother! Please, don’t shoot! It’s a mistake!”
“Big Brother! It’s a misunderstanding, we’re not cops!”
Startled by Wang Yun’s unexpected outburst, the two young men hurriedly cried out, terror evident on their faces.
“Say you’re not cops one more time. If you’re not, then why are you armed? Did you guys surround me?”
Wang Yun’s piercing gaze fixed on them. In that moment, his advanced acting skill radiated sheer dominance and ferocity. While the young men exuded a hint of this demeanor, they paled in comparison to Wang Yun.

“What the heck just happened?”
“I’m lost. Who are these guys? Why do they have weapons? They can’t be program officers. Captains Hong Feng, Jiang You Shan, and Wu Mingyu are currently discussing Wang Yun in the inspection room.”
“Is this an unexpected twist? Or a special arrangement by the show?”
The abrupt shift in Wang Yun’s scenario momentarily stunned the audience.
“What’s happening?”
“Why are there two more guys?”
“And they have guns?”

“Brother, please understand. We’re on the same side, truly!” Seeing their weapons taken and now aimed at them, the two young men spoke, genuine fear evident on their faces.
“What’s going on?”
“Are there cops around?”
Suddenly, a low growl broke the silence, closely followed by the rhythmic sound of approaching footsteps. Hearing the approaching steps, Wang Yun felt an unsettling chill. Counting the two men plus the approaching group, there were fifteen in total. He also discerned the unmistakable sound of guns being loaded. Something was off about these men.
“Hey, calm down! It’s just a misunderstanding. We’re on the same side,” one of the young men said, noticing their leader’s approach. He quickly raised his hands in a gesture of surrender and quickly turned to address the approaching group, “Boss, this guy is one of us, and he’s probably packing heat just like us.”
“One of us? I ‘handled’ a cop just recently. What about you?” Wang Yun said, cautiously peering out. His eyes darted sharply as he assessed the group of thirteen men. Every single one was armed, and notably, four wielded submachine guns.
“Wow, Team 797 has quite the crew. And with submachine guns?” Wang Yun spoke, his voice calm yet laced with a hint of surprise.
“Haha, it seems we’re indeed kindred spirits,” remarked the middle-aged leader of the group, holding a submachine gun. After taking in Wang Yun’s fierce look and the weapon in his hand, he chuckled, lowered his weapon, and gestured to his crew to stand down.
“It’s quite the coincidence meeting like this,” the middle-aged man continued, “You took out a cop? We recently took down three ourselves, hehe.”
“That’s perfect. Just as long as you’re no friend to the law,” Wang Yun chuckled, lowering his gun.
“Brother, you’re truly impressive. To subdue both of us so swiftly. That’s commendable,” the two young men said, visibly relieved as Wang Yun set his gun aside, giving him a thumbs up.
“Hehe, skills are essential, but they can’t outshine a good weapon. Those submachine guns of yours are quite something,” Wang Yun responded with a light chuckle, his gaze locked onto the four submachine guns, intrigue evident in his eyes.

“What the…?”
“What’s going on?”
“Is this scripted?”
“Chills are running down my spine. Who exactly are these guys? And why are they armed? What’s really happening here?”
“Could this be staged by the production crew?”
“It can’t be. Look, it’s as if the boss is putting on some performance. And they said they’ve taken out three cops?”
“This can’t be real, can it? Are they… actual outlaws?”
“They’re criminals! Drug traffickers! The two guys up front… They’re on Yun Province’s most-wanted list. Class A criminals. Highly dangerous. It’s undoubtedly them!”
The live broadcast’s comments erupted in a frenzy. Especially when some recognized the two men standing closest to Wang Yun. They were top-tier wanted criminals. Drug traffickers. The real deal.
