Chapter 37 Target Locked, Special Gift, Wang Yuns Steadfast Conviction
“Are you kidding? Big Brother is actually considering hooking up with his female fan?”
“What a scoundrel, making moves on a female fan!”
“Big Brother, remember you’re on the run. Show some respect to the inspectors and other fugitives.”
When the livestream audience saw that Wang Yun continued to engage in conversation with Xiao Yanran, they couldn’t help but chime in with playful jabs and snarky comments.

“Beautiful jewelry? Well, it’s something all girls love,” Xiao Yanran responded with a smile upon hearing his words. “Wait, are you planning to buy me jewelry? Spoiling your fans much? But just to let you know, I don’t want any.”
“Hehe, no worries,” Wang Yun said, shaking his head before dialing the number.
It was the emergency line for the city hospital. Indeed, Wang Yun intended to call an ambulance. Ever since he entered the hospital, he’d been contemplating an escape plan.
“Hello, this is Nancheng Municipal Hospital,” a voice answered on the other end of the line.
“Hi, my uncle has suddenly fallen ill. We urgently need an ambulance, please send one over as soon as possible,” Wang Yun requested, speaking with a sense of urgency.
“Understood. Please send over the address, and we’ll dispatch an ambulance immediately,” the staff member promptly responded.
Wang Yun quickly provided an address before hanging up the phone.
“My ride is waiting for me downstairs, I have to go now,” Wang Yun told Xiao Yanran, handing her back her phone.
“Your ride’s here already? Well, take care and be cautious. Don’t get caught,” Xiao Yanran said, unable to suppress her laughter. She waved goodbye to him.
“Alright, see you in two days,” Wang Yun nodded, heading toward the exit.
As he walked past the TV, he took one last lingering look.
On the television, the news segment that had caught his attention was still on. The Lingzhu Group would be hosting a jewelry gala on the 89th floor of the Nansu Plaza Tower, a landmark in Nancheng. Celebrities and wealthy businessmen were expected to attend.
Moreover, a priceless necklace called Dazzling Starry Sky, valued at over a hundred million, would be on display.
Wang Yun squinted slightly at the TV, then turned to walk out of the ward.

“Wow, Big Brother’s clever tricks are at it again. Did he really call an ambulance to escape?”
“Big Brother’s strategies are brilliant. Is he planning to use an ambulance as his getaway?”
“His IQ, his tactics. I can’t even. I’m no longer on my knees, I’m rubbing on the floor.”
“Will Big Brother revisit this female fan? Looks like she might be in trouble.”
“She’s been marked, it’s game over for the female fan.”
The viewers in the livestream were astounded by Wang Yun’s audacious and potentially illegal plan.

Wang Yun headed straight downstairs. As he looked outside, he noticed several medical staff walking toward the ambulance. He promptly followed them.
“Hey, are you all headed to Digital District?” he asked the medical team.
“Hmm? Yes,” the medical staff replied, eyeing Wang Yun’s attire before nodding in agreement.
“I’ll join you. My great-uncle is the one who’s sick. My family just called to ask me to look after him,” Wang Yun explained.
“Alright, no problem,” they consented, without any suspicion.
They all boarded the ambulance, which swiftly left the hospital premises.
“I was in a hurry and I forgot to bring my cellphone. Could I borrow one? I need to look up some information,” Wang Yun asked one of the healthcare workers.
“Sure, which department do you belong to?” a female nurse asked as she nodded in agreement.
“I just got here. I recently performed surgery with Professor Yin and had to leave due to a family emergency,” Wang Yun responded.
“Ah, Professor Yin is very impressive,” the nurse remarked with a smile.
Wang Yun nodded in agreement and accepted the phone from her. Sensing that he was not in the best of moods, the medical staff refrained from asking further questions.
Wang Yun used the phone to look up the Lingzhu Group’s event at Nansu Tower. As he read, a slight smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. It was time for retaliation. His target? The Dazzling Starry Sky necklace.
Closing his eyes briefly, he pondered his plan of action. A few minutes later, his eyes snapped open, thoughts turning to Xiao Yanran, the female fan he had met at the hospital.
‘I’ll give you a gift, and I hope it will be a successful one,’ he thought to himself.
His face broke into a modest smile, quickly replaced by a look of determined resolve. Failure was not an option.
Wang Yun had mentioned fulfilling her wishes and giving her a special gift for two reasons. First, she was his first female fan, which held sentimental value. Second, he genuinely hoped that she could find happiness in the limited time she had left, perhaps even witness a miracle.
After reading her medical records and learning of her dire vascular condition, he couldn’t help but feel for her. She had such a short time left, and he wished for a miracle.
Once he arrived in the Digital District, Wang Yun pretended to make a call and informed the paramedics that his great-uncle had been transferred to another hospital.
He handed the medical staff 200 yuan and disembarked from the ambulance, ignoring their stunned and bewildered expressions.
Shedding his clothes, he made his way toward the heart of the Digital District, mentally gearing up for the mission ahead.
