Chapter 27 Shock, Exclamation, Mastery! A Motorcycles Breakout!
Thud! The clear sound echoed as the doll hit the ground. As everyone’s gaze settled on the toy lying there, a collective bafflement took hold.
“Damn, what’s going on? Where’s the child? The one who screamed?”
“Have I gone mad? What the hell is happening?”
“This? What’s this?”
The viewers stared wide-eyed at their screen, their mouths agape, taken aback by the unfolding scene. Their minds were swamped with questions. What was happening? Where were the cries and screams of the little girl coming from? What was the real situation?
It wasn’t just the audience at home. The five officers on the scene also looked perplexedly at the doll.
One of the officers walked over and picked up the doll in a daze. He turned, holding it stiffly.
“We’ve been duped,” an officer remarked with a mix of shock and regret evident on his face. “That voice was Wang Yun’s own doing.”
“My God,” another exclaimed. “Did Wang Yun mimic that voice himself? And used a doll to pretend he had a hostage? That’s incredibly clever!”

Inside the command center room, everyone watched the scene intently.
Liu Qingqing’s face was a picture of shock. “What on earth is this? Voice modulation? This guy’s incredibly talented, isn’t he?”
Shen Hao chimed in, his expression was equally shocked. “I don’t think it’s voice modulation. That wouldn’t be this effective. This is ventriloquism, an ancient art form.”
Hong Feng, also stunned by the events, looked around at the others. “We should have all learned about ‘Ventriloquism’ in our textbooks.”
“Ventriloquism? The mimicry was so lifelike, it’s astounding,” Liu Qingqing remarked, her gaze still locked onto the livestream. “It looks like we may have been wrong about Wang Yun before.”
“He’s played us all,” Jiang Youshan concluded.
Wu Mingyu wore a look of deep concern on his face. “He has a keen sense of alertness. He noticed the officers before they even got close. During the chase, his rapid response was not just about physical strength or technique. His intelligence is exceptionally high.”
He continued, “Ventriloquism is an ancient deception art, where performers use their mouth, teeth, lips, tongue, throat, nose, and other vocal organs to mimic various sounds. The so-called modern voice-changing doesn’t even scratch the surface of ventriloquism. It’s astounding that this young man possesses such a skill. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call him a master ventriloquist. Truly impressive.”
Jiang Youshan spoke, admiration and respect evident on his face: “I was deceived just now, just like everyone else.”
“This kind of performance art is indeed impressive,” Shen Hao mused. “It’s only natural for us to have been fooled. I bet the viewers watching the livestream are just as baffled, right?”

“And what about that?!” someone interjected. “Those who were just bad-mouthing big brother, how’s that for a slap in the face?”
“I just came from Big Brother’s livestream. Saw you guys bad-mouthing him? Look who’s looking dumb now!”
Another chimed in, laughing, “The moment I saw that scene, I immediately switched to inspectors’ livestream. Our big brother Wang Yun toyed with you all like you’re toddlers.”
“Come on, can you blame us?” another defended. “I dare say anyone unaware of the truth would’ve been fooled. Those five officers were so close, did you see? They went pale and were sweating profusely. They were clearly terrified.”
“It’s not our fault for being fooled,” someone else argued. “It’s just that Wang Yun is incredibly talented. Truly an eye-opening experience today!”
In the livestream, all the viewers were expressing their astonishment. Although some people who came from Wang Yun’s live stream called them fools, was it really their fault?
It was clearly because Wang Yun was just too good. Just look at the chief inspectors. They were utterly dumbfounded.

“This is just unbelievable.” Zhang Xingchen stood there, a bitter expression on his face. But soon, he clenched his fist and asserted, “The chase isn’t over yet. I, Zhang Xingchen, truly can’t believe that he could escape with ten motorcycles pursuing him. Even for me, a running champion, I have no confidence in escaping this chase.”
His voice was filled with renewed determination.
No matter how fast you run or how adept you are at parkour, can you outpace a motorcycle? Even if he, Zhang Xingchen himself, were to flee, there was no guarantee of escape when faced with ten motorcycles in pursuit.
Vroom! Vroom! Vroom!
As Zhang Xingchen was speaking, the roaring sounds of numerous motorcycles came from the livestream.
Led by Saomao and Chen Minghao, the enforcement officers rode their motorcycles and hurried over.
Samao lifted his helmet visor, his eyes falling on the motorcycle lying on the ground. His expression shifted slightly as he asked, “What happened?”
“Captain, he fooled us,” the five officers responded, quickly recovering their composure upon seeing Samao and the team’s arrival.
“Continue the chase. We cannot let him escape,” Samao declared with a serious expression.
“Go after him, he can’t get away. He’s still within sight!”
“Vroom! Vroom! Vroom!”
Chen Minghao stared intently ahead, his expression unflinching. Within his line of sight, he could still see Wang Yun. As long as he kept his target in view, capturing him seemed straightforward to him.
The motorcycle beneath him roared into action, instantly surging forward.
A tilt upwards,
Leaning forward.
Lifting the front.
Swinging the tail.
“Vroom!”
His motorcycle soared over another bike lying on the ground, its engine roaring like a ferocious beast, chasing after Wang Yun.
“Chase him!”
The other officers echoed the command, promptly picking up their motorcycles and following in pursuit.
“I have to admit, Wang Yun is truly impressive.” Zhang Xingchen watched Chen Minghao’s maneuvers and the unfolding scene from the command center room. A slow and confident smile formed on his face, “But, he won’t escape. Not now.”
