Chapter 06 Quick, Smooth, Light, Pick, Clamp, and the Dumbfounded Livestream Viewers
Shops were incredibly prevalent in modern cities, often saturating densely populated areas. A single street could house five or six shops. If you were to include tobacco and liquor stores, the number would be even greater.
Wang Yun headed straight for a shop with very few people. Once inside, he picked up a bottle of water, some chocolate, and chewing gum

“Is this guy serious?” one viewer asked. “Every fugitive only gets two hundred yuan, and he’s using it to buy chocolate and gum?”
“Don’t try to guess what he’s thinking. Who would have thought he’d directly confront the officers? Haha, what a legend.”
“He seems completely unfazed. Keep it up with the parkour, big brother. We’re all watching.”
“He’s not playing by the rules. Zhang Xingchen is already tracking you via surveillance, elite officers are being dispatched. Aren’t you going to run? If you don’t start running now, you’ll get caught.”
At the same time, over eight hundred thousand people were watching from his first-person perspective on Wang Yun’s live stream, drawn in by his audacity.
A fugitive who fearlessly provoked officers from the start and easily slipped away with parkour skills piqued the interest of countless people. Among all the fugitives’ live streams, his viewer count was the highest, second only to the cross-dressing pregnant lady.
As the audience watched Wang Yun make his purchases, they flooded the stream with messages, affectionately referring to him as ‘big brother’ and watching with amusement.

“Auntie, I’m ready to check out.” Wang Yun said, bringing his items to the front desk and placing them on the counter.
“Alright,” replied the cashier, a woman who took each item and scanned them. “That’ll be forty-five.”
“Cash.” Wang Yun took out a hundred yuan bill and handed it to her.
“Alright, your change is fifty-five.”
The female cashier then opened the cash register.
Wang Yun stood in place, casting a casual glance around the shop. Suddenly, he addressed the middle-aged woman once more, “Auntie, what kind of wine is that? Could you get me a bottle, please?”
He gestured with his hand toward the line of bottles arranged behind the counter, pointing at the very top shelf.
The woman followed his gesture, “That’s a foreign liquor. Not many people buy it, so we keep it on the top shelf. Do you want it? It’s forty-eight for a bottle,” she asked.
“Yes, I’ll take a bottle,” Wang Yun replied with a nod.
“Alright, just give me a moment,” the cashier said. Turning around, she rose on her tiptoes to retrieve the bottle from its lofty perch.

“Is this guy serious? He’s even spending money on wine? Is he really that extravagant?”
“One guy bought a hundred yuan’s worth of instant noodles for his escape, and you’re spending forty-eight on a bottle of wine?”
The livestream viewers began commenting, surprised at Wang Yun’s extravagant purchase of wine.
Then, something unexpected occurred.
As the cashier turned around, Wang Yun leaned over the counter and swiftly grabbed five one hundred-yuan bills from the open cash register.
He employed the Buttery Flower Picking Technique, his deft fingers quickly and smoothly executing the method. The light plucking and pinching actions of the technique were performed in an instant. He extended his fingers, rolled up the five hundred yuan into his palm, and discreetly pocketed it.
“Here you go, forty-five plus forty-eight makes ninety-three, so your change is seven yuan.”
At this point, the cashier turned back around with the bottle of wine, handed it to Wang Yun, looked at the hundred-yuan bill in her hand, and handed him seven yuan in change.
“Great, thank you.”
Wang Yun collected all his items and headed straight toward the exit.

“What?”
“Hold on, what did I just witness? Oh my God, did he swipe five hundred yuan in a split second?”
“That hand speed though. Is he shopping or planning a heist?”
“I can’t believe it. He spent ninety-three yuan but swiped five hundred. Isn’t that a bit too extreme?”
“An outlaw? Impressive.”
At that moment, the viewers who had been scoffing at Wang Yun’s extravagant spending were left speechless by what they had just witnessed. He had snatched five hundred yuan from the cash drawer while the cashier was momentarily distracted. The agility of his maneuver left them dumbstruck.
The most astounding thing was that Wang Yun ended up with a profit of over four hundred yuan after leaving the store.

“Show crew, it’s your turn to handle the aftermath,” Wang Yun walked out of the store, murmuring a sentence that was picked up by the miniature drone following behind him.
The crew members nearby were also stunned, hastily coming forward to manage the situation, provide an explanation, and reimburse the woman.
“666!” These three digits filled the live comment feed as the show crew started damage control.
Wang Yun scanned his surroundings and continued walking. After passing several shops, he entered a liquor and tobacco store. Inside, a woman sat at the cash register, engrossed in her iPad. There were no customers around and Wang Yun headed straight for her.
The moment Wang Yun walked into the second store, the viewers watching his live stream grew excited.
“Oh my god, here we go again.”
“Big Brother, aren’t you worried about getting caught and punished?”
“Did you guys notice Big Brother only targets female cashiers? Even if they spot him, they can’t take him down.”
“Big Brother, are you a master thief or something? Incredible.”
Comments scrolled rapidly across the live broadcast. Simultaneously, the number of viewers was skyrocketing, surpassing even the livestream of the ‘Pregnant Lady in Drag’.
As Wang Yun entered the establishment, he immediately called out, “Miss, I’d like to make a purchase.”
“What are you looking for?” The woman at the counter lifted her gaze to meet Wang Yun’s for a moment before her attention returned to the tablet in front of her. Clearly, she was either the owner’s daughter or a close relative.
“I’d like a pack of cigarettes.” Wang Yun walked over, handing over a hundred yuan note.
“Alright.” She nodded, pulling out a pack of cigarettes from below the counter. After accepting the money, she quickly ran it through a currency checker, then opened the cash register.
“Huh, miss, are you watching Skynet Operation too?” Wang Yun noticed the show on her tablet. His gaze flickered as he posed the question.
“Yes, it’s a really interesting program and very popular too,” she replied with a laugh. “Besides, my sports idol, Zhang Xingchen, is participating in it this year.”
“You’re a fan of Zhang Xingchen?” Wang Yun raised an eyebrow, asking her.
“Yes, yes. Isn’t Brother Xingchen so handsome?” She giggled as she responded to Wang Yun’s question.
