"What's going on? What's going on?"

Jinx, ever perceptive, immediately noticed the tense atmosphere between Vander and Link Star. She hopped over, her eyes narrowing suspiciously as she scrutinized the two.

"What are you two hiding from me?" she demanded.

Vander opened his mouth to deflect, but Link calmly interjected, "I've asked Vander to come with me to Bilgewater. We're going to kill, hunt ghosts, and conquer the place."

"Wow!"

Jinx's eyes widened like a cat spotting its favorite treat, her entire body trembling with excitement.

"I'm coming too! I'm coming too!" she exclaimed, her gaze burning with enthusiasm as she stared at Link. "If you don't take me along for something this fun, you're seriously forgetting our past friendship!"

"If I didn't want you to come, why would I have Janna call you here?" Link tapped Jinx's forehead with his finger. She rubbed the spot, let out a cheer, and then dragged Isha aside to whisper conspiratorially.

The two of them kept glancing back at Link, giggling mischievously.

"By the way, Isha can't come!" Link called out, his voice carrying across the room.

Vander sighed, "Why would we even bring her along?"

"If we don't, what will you do if you lose control again?" Link countered. "Can you guarantee you won't revert to that beast under the influence of blood and fire?"

"Besides, Jinx has talent. Zaun and Piltover are too small for her. She needs a bigger stage to showcase her abilities."

"Bilgewater is the perfect place. A land where crime and bloodshed dance together, a haven for outlaws. There, she can do whatever she wants without any consequences."

Vander's lips twitched, and Link, noticing his hesitation, reassured him, "Don't worry. I'll make all the necessary preparations. She'll have the best equipment and weapons."

Vander stared at Link, the confidence in the young man's eyes undeniable.

"Alright, fine. She can come," Vander finally relented.

"Good. Get ready. We leave tomorrow."

Link patted Vander's shoulder, causing the burly man to stagger slightly.

"Oof! When did you get so strong?" Vander winced.

Link chuckled, "Just a little improvement, that's all."

"Alright, see you tomorrow."

"Yeah."

As Link turned to leave, he felt a small fist thump against his leg.

Looking down, he saw Isha, her face filled with indignation.

The little girl glared up at him, demanding an explanation.

Why couldn't she come?

Link gently ruffled her hair.

"You'll stay here and wait for us. When we get back, I'll have Jinx bring you a gift."

The Next Morning

Hexgate

"Looking down from here, everyone below looks like trash," Jinx remarked, her face pressed against the glass of the Hexgate's observation window.

Link sat on the couch, dressed in his usual lab coat, though there was a sharper edge to his demeanor now.

The Hexgate's core, which had been removed earlier, had been reinstalled the previous night at Link's request.

The airship was ready, and with a single activation, they would be transported to the coastal waters near Bilgewater.

However, Link was already considering shutting down the Hexgate.

The rampant use of arcane and magical energy had caused wild runes to manifest at its base. If they continued using it, another rune might emerge, creating an unstable bomb right in the heart of Piltover.

To prevent this, Link decided to introduce a new mode of transportation to gradually replace the Hexgate. Whether the public and merchants would accept it was not his concern.

"Alright, come sit down. We're about to leave," Link called out.

Vander wasn't in the passenger cabin; his massive frame was more comfortable in the cargo hold.

"Come over here!" Jinx beckoned, still glued to the window. "From up here, everyone looks like garbage. It's hilarious!"

"If you come over now, I'll give you the gift I prepared. Otherwise—" Before Link could finish, Jinx had already zipped over to him.

She leaned over the coffee table, her long blue braid trailing on the floor, her eyes locked onto his.

"What did you get me?"

"You're impossible," Link sighed, pulling out a case and placing it on the table.

"Portable electric-powered exoskeleton armor. It enhances your physical abilities while providing maximum protection against blades, bullets, and explosions."

"It can output up to three tons of force, run 100 meters in four seconds, and its energy core can operate continuously for over ten hours."

"Additionally," Link tapped the case, "the fully enclosed helmet can administer Shimmer mist to boost your strength, speed, stamina, and healing."

"Like the one you used before?" Jinx asked, struggling to lift the case.

Link nodded, "Similar. It's an older model, but it's more than enough for you."

"Hmph!" Jinx pouted, "You've got something better, don't you?"

"You'll see," Link replied evasively, pulling out a Gatling gun and placing it on the table.

"Besides the exoskeleton, this is a hybrid of Hextech and alchemical engineering. I call it the Symphony of Guns and Cannons."

"Ooh!" Jinx cooed, clearly impressed.

"Powered by Hextech energy, the ammunition is alchemical explosive, catalyzed by electricity into solid rounds."

"It fires 1,200 rounds per minute and has an internal heat circulation system. When the barrel overheats, you can switch it to bombardment mode."

Link pressed a button on the gun's handle, and it transformed into a shark-like cannon.

"In bombardment mode, it fires once every five seconds, but the destructive power can level a building. Use it wisely."

"Got it!" Jinx set the case down and picked up the cannon, stroking the barrel affectionately. "From now on, you're Fishbones!"

"And in your other mode, you're Pow-Pow!"

"You're my new friends. Let's shoot things up and have a blast!"

Jinx aimed the cannon, lowering her voice, "Jinx, Pow-Pow, and Fishbones are ready to work together. All for Link."

She glanced at Link, who ignored her playful look, and pulled out a pistol-shaped electromagnetic emitter and a box of grenades.

"This is an electromagnetic gun based on your previous designs. It can fire electromagnetic pulses."

Link handed the gun to Jinx, then picked up a grenade.

"These are Flame Chompers, based on your earlier grenades. They can track enemies and explode on impact."

"I'll give you the blueprints later so you can modify them as you see fit."

"Okay—" Jinx drawled, trying to gather all the items into her arms but finding them too numerous.

"Lastly, this," Link handed her a compact Hextech communicator. "It allows long-distance communication regardless of terrain. The instructions will pop up when you turn it on."

"This is everything I've prepared for you. I hope you make good use of it."

"Don't worry, I'll get the job done!" Jinx gave a mock salute, and Link shook his head with a smile.

"Alright, go play with your new toys. I need to think."

"Hey, tell me what's on your mind," Jinx climbed onto the coffee table, leaning closer to Link. "Maybe I can help!"

She blew a strand of hair out of her face, batting her eyelashes dramatically.

Link leaned back on the couch, smirking, "Sure!"

"I'll give you some data later. Calculate how much we need to reduce costs to ensure triple profits."

"Also, draft a proposal on the impact of a new merchant guild on the current market."

"Then, I need a research report on integrating ancient deities with modern commerce, an analysis of market prospects and shares, a preemptive plan for retaliation from other guilds if our products disrupt the market, and—"

"Stop, stop, stop!" Jinx interrupted, "What are you even talking about?"

"Just the necessary documents and plans for establishing a new guild," Link said casually, crossing his legs. "I don't need to do everything myself, but I need to have a solid plan before delegating."

"So, do you still think you can help?"

Jinx bit her lip, refusing to back down. "Maybe not now, but someday… I will!"

"I look forward to it," Link gestured toward the door. "Close it on your way out."

"And don't disturb me until I'm done."

"Thanks!"

Jinx made several trips to carry her new gear out of the cabin. Standing at the door, she glanced back at the closed room, hearing the faint sound of pen on paper.

"What a boring guy," she muttered, kicking the box at her feet.

The sunlight streaming through the ceiling draped her in a soft glow as she stood there, arms crossed, pouting.
