Apocalypse: Mad Necromancer’s Troops

Chapter 75: Teaching You a Lesson for Your Father

Chapter 75: Teaching You a Lesson for Your Father

Wang Ke?

The little nurse who was rescued from the hospital last time.

Wu Heng picked up the walkie-talkie and asked directly, "What happened?"

"The generator's fuel is running low. Sister Hong went out this morning to find some gasoline. She told me that if she wasn't back by noon, something might have happened and I should contact you," Wang Ke explained from the other side.

Gas stations aren't typically located near residential areas, so at most, they would have siphoned some gasoline from cars.

Given Li Yanhong's experience running a repair shop, siphoning fuel from tanks shouldn't be difficult.

Wu Heng had already cleared the area of zombies, so there shouldn't be any major dangers nearby.

If they were just siphoning gas nearby, they should have been back by now.

"How many of them went?" Wu Heng asked.

"Five, Sister Hong and four other guys."

"Do you know where they went to get the fuel?"

"I only know they went north. They mentioned a place with a lot of crashed cars," Wang Ke continued.

If they went north, it would be along the road to the building materials street.

There are quite a few wrecked cars along that route, so they were probably searching for gasoline along the way.

Still holding the walkie-talkie, Wu Heng said, "Alright, I understand. You go back and wait. I'll go check it out."

"Oh, okay, thank you!"

Ending the call, Wu Heng began to wonder if Li Yanhong and her group had indeed encountered some danger.

The repair shop is near the road, so even if they went north, it shouldn't have taken this long.

Were they attacked by zombies? Or did they encounter some other threat?

He resealed the organ jar, deciding to save the remaining two first-tier corpse nuclei for later.

Consuming corpse nuclei consecutively is a burden on the body.

Besides, Li Yanhong and her group are quite valuable to him; with his growing skeleton army, he still needs them to provide weapons.

Trading food for iron spears with them is a beneficial arrangement.

He wanted to make sure nothing happened to them.

After a brief preparation, he called down the skeletons from the rooftop and started heading north.

He sent Xiaoxiao ahead to scout while leading the rest of the squad out of the residential area, advancing northward along the road.

.........

On the road leading to the building materials street, near a section where wrecked cars were piled up.

Li Yanhong and her group had their hands tied behind their backs, sitting against a scrapped car, with several gas cans filled with gasoline nearby.

Not far away, four middle-aged men were rummaging through the shops along the street, searching for supplies.

Li Yanhong exchanged glances with her companions, trying to figure out a way to escape.

At that moment, the men returned.

The leader, a burly man with a face full of scars, wearing a blue stab-proof vest, holding a cleaver, with a pistol tucked into his waistband, glanced at the tied-up group, lingering on Li Yanhong for a few seconds.

He asked, "Li Yanhong from Xiao Dong's Auto Repair, is old Li still alive, or are you the only one left?"

"Yang Yitian, we're just passing through. This place is yours; let us go!" Li Yanhong glared at him coldly.

She recognized the man before her.

Yang Yitian, a well-known street thug in the area, frequently getting arrested for various petty crimes.

She never expected someone like him to survive, and seemingly thrive.

"No need to rush! We're all old friends. In this apocalypse, it's only natural to catch up when we meet," Yang Yitian said, eyeing the gas cans before continuing, "You're collecting gasoline—planning to head to a safe zone?"

No one responded, and Li Yanhong looked away.

Bang~!

Yang Yitian's expression darkened, and he kicked the nearest person in the head with a loud thud.

The man's head snapped back, slamming into the car door behind him with a resounding crash.

The loud noise startled everyone, and they quickly checked their surroundings to ensure no zombies were approaching before breathing a sigh of relief.

The man who was kicked groaned and fell to the ground.

"When I ask a question, you answer! Otherwise, don't blame me for feeding you to the zombies," Yang Yitian said coldly before continuing, "Why are you collecting gasoline?"

"We've heard about a survivor base," Li Yanhong answered reluctantly.

"Oh? Where?"

"There's a rescue point set up south of Yingchang Bridge. If we can get there, the military will protect us," Li Yanhong replied cautiously.

"Are you serious?"

"Why would I lie? Let us go, and we'll head there together," Li Yanhong suggested, glancing at him.

"Go there? Haha, why would I go? That's the military. What kind of life would I have if I went there?" Yang Yitian laughed, patting the gun on his waist.

Unlike the more timid survivors,

Yang Yitian was a particularly bold man.

After gathering a few survivors nearby, he began organizing them to scavenge for supplies.

Others might see this as an apocalypse, but he saw it as freedom from chains.

With his guts and abilities, who knows what he could accomplish?

If he were to seek out a base, he'd choose one where he could be in charge, not a place run by the military where he'd lose his freedom.

"You're crazy!" Li Yanhong spat.

"Damn it!" Yang Yitian cursed, then asked, "Did you take all the food and supplies from here?"

The nearby shops had been thoroughly looted.

Apart from some moldy vegetables and meat in the refrigerators, there was no food left.

Li Yanhong looked at him, "Do you think we have that kind of capability?"

"I wasn't talking about the zombies; I meant the supplies. Did you take them?"

"No."

"Then how did you know there weren't many zombies here and come to siphon fuel?" Yang Yitian pressed.

"The same way you did."

"You damn liar!" Yang Yitian cursed angrily.

Anyone could see she was lying.

"Brother Yang, why waste time talking? The guys are getting impatient. Let's take care of business first, then sort out the rest later," one of the men holding a cleaver urged.

His eyes kept darting toward Li Yanhong.

Yang Yitian grinned and said, "Alright, pin her down. I'll go first, and then you guys can have your turn."

"Got it." The men stepped forward, dragging Li Yanhong up and pressing her face down on the car hood.

The others from Xiao Dong's Auto Repair turned pale.

They tried to resist,

But with their hands tied and legs numb from crouching for so long,

They were quickly beaten back to the ground.

"What are you doing? Yang Yitian, you'll die a horrible death..." Li Yanhong struggled and cursed.

"Still as feisty as ever. Today, Uncle will teach you some manners on behalf of your dead father," Yang Yitian laughed, unbuckling his belt.

The others, beaten and bruised, also cursed loudly, but they were helpless.

Just as his pants slipped down to his ankles, and his hands reached for her waist,

The sound of approaching footsteps echoed from the distance.

Everyone turned to look.

They saw several skeletons, each the size of a tiger, charging toward them from afar.

The sound of bones clattering filled the air.

"Shit! What the hell is that?"
