Chapter 139: Chapter 127: Zero Suit Samus Unlocked!
Kumogi continued his mission to conquer Metroid, but this time, he had a different goal in mind—speed. He had already mapped out a strategy to clear the game as quickly as possible. This meant skipping unnecessary upgrades, like the Wave Beam, to save precious seconds. He also utilized an unconventional shortcut—by intentionally getting Samus killed, he could respawn at the starting area and cut down on backtracking. Every move he made was calculated, and with each passing minute, he got closer to his goal.
His fingers moved with expert precision, guiding Samus through the labyrinthine corridors of the alien-infested world. He collected power-ups, defeated enemies, and, one by one, took down the game's two major bosses. With just under 50 minutes on the clock, he found himself face-to-face with the final challenge—the dreaded Mother Brain.
"Alright, this is it!" Kumogi grinned as he cracked his knuckles and leaned forward, eyes glued to the screen.
The battle was intense, but Kumogi remained calm. Dodging deadly laser beams and destroying the Rinkas that protected the brain-like boss, he unleashed a relentless barrage of missiles. He had memorized Mother Brain's attack patterns, allowing him to predict and counter each move effortlessly. Then, after five grueling minutes, he landed the final shot. Mother Brain exploded in a fiery spectacle, triggering the infamous escape sequence.
"Run, Samus, run!" Kumogi shouted, gripping his controller tightly.
He guided Samus through the collapsing corridors as a countdown timer mercilessly ticked away. The adrenaline rush was exhilarating—he had come this far, and he wasn't about to fail now. With only seconds to spare, Samus leaped into the escape pod, and the screen faded to black.
"Yes! That's definitely less than an hour!" he cheered triumphantly, punching the air.
As the ending text appeared, Kumogi watched eagerly, expecting the usual congratulations message:
GREAT!! You fulfilled your mission. It will revive peace in space, but it may be invaded by other Metroid. Pray for a true peace in space.
But then—something unexpected happened.
Samus's sprite began to blink on-screen. Kumogi's jaw dropped as, right before his eyes, the armored warrior transformed. The iconic Power Suit disappeared, revealing a striking figure—a beautiful woman with long blonde hair tied into a ponytail, clad in a skin-tight blue bodysuit. His eyes widened as the screen also displayed an 8-bit artwork portrait of Zero Suit Samus, showcasing her sleek, athletic physique in all its pixelated glory.
"WHAT?! SAMUS IS A GIRL?!" Kumogi shrieked, nearly falling off his chair. "No way! I've been playing as a girl this whole time?!"
His mind reeled from the revelation. All those hours he had spent exploring alien worlds, defeating terrifying creatures, and collecting upgrades—he had assumed Samus was some rugged space marine, but she was actually a beautiful blonde bombshell! And that Zero Suit—it left little to the imagination.
"Oh boy… she's so hot," he muttered, his face turning red as he stared at the screen. "I can't believe it…"
Still in shock, he quickly navigated back to the main menu. To his surprise, a new option had appeared—Zero Suit Mode. His hands trembled with excitement as he selected it. A detailed description of the Zero Suit appeared on-screen:
The Zero Suit is essentially Samus's undersuit, worn beneath her Power Suit. It is a lightweight, form-fitting outfit designed for slight protection, mobility, and comfort.
It even shows full body Zero Suit Samus 8 bit artworks in many angles.
Looking at Zero Suit Samus artworks Kumogi's grin grew even wider. "Hmm… Samus has a great body, hehehe…"
Unable to resist, he immediately started a new playthrough, this time as Zero Suit Samus. Unlike her Power Suit form, Zero Suit Samus had a slightly different beam weapon—faster and stronger, giving her an edge in combat , Zero suit Samus also faster overall.
"This is amazing! She even plays differently!" Kumogi gushed as he controlled Zero Suit Samus through the familiar terrain. The added speed and improved beam attack made the game feel fresh all over again.
Hour after hour, he played, completely engrossed in the experience. He didn't care that he had just beaten the game—he wanted to do it all over again, this time as the sleek and agile Zero Suit Samus.
The discovery of Samus's true identity had rocked his world, and now, he was determined to see how different the game felt from this new perspective. He was on a mission—not just to beat Metroid again, but to experience it in a whole new way.
With renewed excitement, he tightened his grip on the controller, continue controlling the Samus Aran first ever ZAGE female Main Character!
"To be continued…"
