Subaru remained silent — had the Omniscient Sorcerer truly died? Such a momentous event, yet it had passed without the slightest disturbance.

And since Tengen's Barrier Techniques remained intact, it proved that Daiki's mastery of barriers matched that of the Omniscient Sorcerer!

Though Saeko couldn't comprehend the gravity of the situation, she spoke softly, "Inspector General, if you don't mind, I'd like to stay by your side forever."

Her humble pleading posture reminded Daiki of Yukino.

"Then stay by my side from now on."

"This humble one requests your guidance from now on, Inspector General."

Saeko performed a respectful dogeza, the action pulling Subaru from her contemplation.

Seeing the girl's earnest determination, she knew any attempt at dissuasion would be futile.

"Does this mean you have become an immortal Sorcerer? Such a long lifespan, comparable to eternal beings — how enviable! Though you might face great loneliness in the future." She remarked wistfully.

She couldn't shake the feeling that history was entering a cycle of reincarnation.

"What's so special about that? If immortality is what you desire, it's not impossible. I could grant Saeko immortality anytime." Daiki said teasingly while gently lifting Saeko's chin.

The girl's face reddened slightly, but she didn't take his words to heart.

Her heartstrings still quivered with anticipation for the upcoming teaching and learning.
