Chapter 7: Beneath the surface (Power stone bonus chapter)
Misaki Kamiagusa stared at the boy who had just been flung into the hot springs from the living room and didn't really know how to react. She watched as the landlady of Sakurasou–Chitose–also got flung and landed on top of him, her lips lightly pressing against his. She watched as he profusely apologized for the accident that wasn't his fault at all and then saw as he got a look of defeat on his face after Chitose said something. She draped the small towel around her waist and covered her chest with her arm as she walked over to Kira.
"You good Junior?" Turning around to see her Kira was greeted by the beautiful scene of the wet towel clinging to her waist, the water smoothly sliding off her skin, her wet hair that was tucked behind her ears and the heat that gave her cheeks a slight flush to them. She was in this moment the most beautiful person he had ever seen, Sona couldn't even compare.
"Uh huh," Was all he managed to mumble out as his brain fried from the image it was seeing and the kunai that was now lodged in it…again. "Where does she keep getting those?" Kira wondered as he fell unconscious again.
"Misaki, You shouldn't be concerned for this pervert."
"Sagiri, Chitose told you to stop trying to kill him and he's not a bad person. He's just…in the wrong place at the wrong time."
"Misaki…I didn't kill him he'll be fine, but you of all people should know just how flimsy that excuse can be. You said the same thing about Jin two years ago when you found out about him and Fuuka…and I hate to say it but you were wrong, he's been 'at the wrong place at the wrong time' a lot of times, with a lot of different woman."
"...But Jin...he still-" Misaki Looked down at Kira who was floating on the waters surface adn recalled the way that he called her name, so calmly, a voice that in that moment saw only her, a voice that held affection. A voice that she hadn't heard directed towards her by Jin in a long time. "Maybe you're right, maybe Jin...won't change, and he will continue to see other people, including my sister; despite all that I know I can't stop loving him."
"Misaki...You need to realize-"
"I know...I know But it wont matter what you say because I'm gonna continue loving him."
'If that's true then why are you holding onto his hand.' Sagiri though looking at Misaki's hands that were clutched onto Kira's.
"And you're wrong about Junior, he's not like Jin...Jin's not an idiot." She smiled and laughed a little.
"Men all men are idiots, all men are the same…they make you fall for them and they leave you broken-hearted and confused." Sagiri spoke with a tone of frustration as a certain young boy who she knew growing up popped into her head. Shaking the thought away she continued, "You saw how Jin reacted when Mineru flashed Vallery earlier. He enjoyed it the same as the other males there, They're all perverts and I feel bad for Yuuna who has to share that room with one of them."
"...But…who's Yuuna?" Misaki turned to face Sagiri who now had a slight look of panic on her eyes, but luckily she wasn't the only person in the hot springs. Emerging from behind a rock was Nonko who was acting slightly drunk.
"S-Sagiri, Sagiri, I have a very important question for you…does this dress make me look fat?" She asked , despite being in a hot spring, naked.
"Nonko, you're not wearing a dress." Sagiri responded as she lifted her off her shoulders
"That did not answer my question~~" She slurred her speech as she went over to Misaki who she asked the same question to. Confusing Misaki and making her momentarily forget about Sagiri's slip up.
"Uh, umm, no. You look like a skinny queen?" Misaki didn't really know what to do, until she felt the hand that she still held onto. "We should probably do something to help him."

Kira who had recovered from his battle wounds was now looking at the purple haired girl before him as she crossed her arms and stubbornly said
"S-sorry." Sagiri apologized after the situation was told to her by Yuuna who had explained the situation of his appearance in the hot springs being her fault and Chitose who had already forgiven the situation he had no control over.
"Oh, it's fine. I'm not dead so there's no need to apologize, but thank you for doing it anyway." Kira's lips slightly curved to from a sweet smile and Sagiri looked at the scene and left a simple thought in her mind
'Maybe...he's not so bad.' Walking up to her, Sagiri passed by the room with an ominous feeling to it and…ignored it completely; she was too tired to deal with Mineru anymore. She opened the door to Room 212 and was greeted by Yuuna Yunohara, the ghost of this building.
"Did you apologize?" She asked, her arms crossed, her lips slightly curled and her cheeks slightly puffed. It was her bad attempt at coming across as intimidating, Instead she came across as adorable and cute.
"Yes," Sagiri smiled and then went straight to her bed falling on top of it being consumed by the comfort of the blanket she was on the verge of sleep before her phone rang. She picked up her phone to see the name Yuki Nonoka flash across the screen. "Ugh, seriously now?" She looked around to see that Yuuna had already left the room and then slid her finger across the screen and answered the call from her companion.
"Hello?"
"They're on the move." A stoic feminine voice said from the other line
"Ok, where are they headed?"
"They're going to the local casino," The stoic voice responded
"Ok, I'll meet you there." Sagiri hung up the phone and immediately lost all pretenses of a lazy person. She opened a hidden drawer from her desk and pulled out of it a pair of tricked out roller skates. She put them on and then opened the window. She put her weight onto the skates and as the motor revved she was off, through the window and soaring through the evening sky like a human with wings. She landed on the ground and skated off eventually skating up the side of a building and flipping through the air; while in the air she equipped her sacred gear
(A.N: Some of you are probably confused why a character not associated with Air gear or High school DXD is wearing Air trecks and also has a sacred gear, but it's because the world have merged not everything from there original series is gonna stick and it might be changed around a bit to flow better.)
Sagiri's body became covered in a skin tight dark purple suit and a long scarf around her neck.
This gear allowed her to move twice as powerful and be able to take triple the amount of attacks. Sagiri landed on a roof zooming off it with her air treks and eventually landing on top of an apartment complex across from a casino.
She locked her tires and walked normally to the girl with short light blue hair, Yuki Nonoka. She wore armored sleeves and a blue dress shirt with golden accents that stretched to her white skirt. In her hands she held a katana which was also a part of her sacred gear.
"Sorry I'm late." Sagiri apologized but got no reaction from Yuki who kept her eyes on the Casino. "Why would they come here?"
"They like to gamble." Yuki said with absolute certainty.
"Have you been following him after hours again?"
"Yes."
"You were told to stop doing that."
"I know…but a mere human knocked Takashi out with a single punch…it's something that should be impossible." Takashi Hayase was like them a member of the hero clan and he was quite strong, but alas he provoked the wrong person and got knocked out.
"Yet it happened, I get that but you have to listen to the elders, they're in charge for a reason."
"To kick out people that did the right thing?" Yuki replied, finally taking her yellow eyes off the casino and putting them onto Sagiri who had a complicated look on her face.
"Yuki he...he killed so many people doing the 'right thing'." Sagiri replied her voice on the verge of tears as memories of her first love flowed into her head and then the last day that she saw him…the day that the third heavenly dragon awakened.
"You're just like everyone else…Basara didn't deserve what happened to him."
"..." Sagiri didn't say anything…she couldn't say anything because she was right. She knew it and so did Yuki…but the elders' decision was final and she couldn't go against her family's decision. The two didn't talk after that and just kept silent watching the Casino for the man to come out.
2 hours later
'This is the worst! I should have brought my phone or something…' Sagiri looked over at Yuki who she hadn't talked to for the past 2 hours and was about to start another conversation when Yuki suddenly stood up and spoke.
"He's out." Yuki looked down at a large muscular man with tan skin and eggplant colored hair. His fierce eyes following the coin he flipped through the air.
"All that and this is all I have to show for it…I am not letting anyone know about this, especially Akisame." Shio Sakaki said as he caught the coin and then went on his way to the place he called home, Ryozanpaku. Following behind him was Sagiri and Yuki who silently jumped from rooftop to rooftop watching him as he walked. After a while he ended up at a large building with two large wooden doors and a large wall surrounding it. The place looked to be a dojo. He easily opened the doors and then closed them as he walked to the main house, a fair-skinned woman with long raven colored hair tied up into a ponytail. Popped out from a tree upside down and looked at the roof where Sagiri and Yuki were.
"Sakaki,"
"Hmm?"
"You were…followed." Shigure Kosaka said, pulling out a sword from somewhere and narrowing her eyes.
"I know, they're just kids, nothing to be worried about."
"...Foolish." She said before retreating back into the tree. Sakaki Looked in the direction of his two stalkers and just shrugged. To him it meant very little even if they were from that clan.

The sound of wheels rolling at fast speeds was heard as Sagiri skated through the night sky back to Sakurasou. She got back in record time sneaking into her room through her open window. She closed the window and then fell onto the bed, her sacred gear still equipped. "Haa, what a night…" She recalled the fact that Yuki had brought up Basara, a person she preferred to not think about. The memories of her youth, the memories she hates to think about began to rush back to her head; the blood, the screams, the deaths of people she knew, and…the feeling of betrayal. Tears covered her eyes as she began to silently cry.
"Fuck…stop crying." She mumbled beneath her breath but the tears didn't stop. "Dammit…why? Fuck, why?" She grabbed a pillow and silently cried into it, as her tears didn't stop, she was no longer in control of her emotions. Things she kept suppressed, things that she didn't like to think about, the things that kept her up at night all just flowed out at this moment, until a sound was heard, the sound of someone singing.
"Hmm🎵ooOOOhhhH~I don't think you will remember me, When all the years go byyy it's like the light fades from our eyes. Ohhh, I wonder If you knew How much you truly do mean to me, Oh I wonder where you are, what you do, what you say do you still remember my name? I wonder Oh I do. Where you are, oh how do you do without me there? Are you smiling with someone else as your pair and do your fingers still remember the way they ran through my hair? OH I WONDER, Do YOU REMEMBER MY NAME? The smiles that you gave me oh why did you leave I still miss everything we used tooo beeeee. I didn't want to say goodbye that day, and I still haven't said goodby to this day. So I wonder sometimes hows your life without me by your sideee? BY YOUR SIDEEEeeeeee. By your side.🎵🎵" Kira's voice echoed through the dark halls of the dorm and reached Sagiris ears as the melody entered her ears she calmed down and the tears stopped flowing as her mind ceased function for the night and she fell asleep.
