AngelSubzero - Douma's Adventures

Ryo blinked at the girl sitting in the middle of the tatami mat on the floor, she too had a similar surprised expression on her face which slowly turned into a joyful smile on her face.

"Oh Ryo what brings you here!" The girl chirped, the other people in the run continued talking to one another, with a man moving towards her holding a drink.

"The night is still young. Come on Lynn, you have all the time in the world to stay longer." When the man said that, those standing beside Lynn at the other side nodded and cheered.

"Aw man I wish!" Lynn whined, twirling her ponytail dangling at the side of her head. "What's this Ryo? Another mission? Of all times!"

Taking a step closer to the group of people on the tatami mat, Ryo put up the serious face and spoke, "It's urgent, we have a meeting with Embargo LTD regarding this week's case. Get ready Lynn we're expected to be there soon."

Lynn watched Ryo stand there like a plank of wood, not wanting to interact with anybody, he was too keen on this task assigned to them at the most unexpected of times. She dreaded this, but she had no choice but to comply with this arrangement.

"Fine. This is so annoying I should find somewhere else to go from now on." Taking out a small mirror from her pocket, Lynn stared at her reflection for a while, giving Ryo the irk because she was taking the whole thing lightly.

The man beside her frowned and became defensive from her statement. "Don't leave us! Don't leave this magnificent place! Your skills are commendable!" He cried.

Lynn bit her lip, glossed in the bright lipstick that she kept checking on through the mirror she was holding every few seconds. "Of course I won't." She said, ignoring the sudden laughter and recklessness happening in the room with the other people around her.

"Phew." The man slouched, murmuring to himself about how worried he was about Lynn leaving, it's a good thing she wasn't going to.

Meanwhile, Douma was still talking with the receptionist in the main hall of the dojo. "So join us to equip yourself with the best skills in combat!" The old man persuaded the blonde who nodded at everything said. Ryo had gone in the other room, they still had to find their teammate.

"That's interesting maybe I will!" Douma replied, the doors to that area were open with people hopping around and talking loudly.

"Great! The registration process isn't that long. I hope you will take your time to consider this." The old man while trying his best to stay persistent, knew Douma was in a hurry.

The crowd in front of them continued their training and stalling with one another, Douma and the old man continued talking for a while until Douma had to end the conversation there. The old man watched the blonde rush over to the area at the end of the hall.

"Ryo what's going on?" When Douma got there he stopped in his tracks when he saw Ryo confronting the girl sitting on the tatami mat. She seemed annoyed by Ryo and it got worse when he started mentioning Mr Oshiro's terms and concerns about the state of the task.

But he had to, because this girl was clearly slacking right now. She wasn't taking any of this seriously.

Lynn glanced at Ryo's side and raised a brow. "Who's this charm?" She asked, holding up the mirror again.

"This is Douma, he's a part of our team for this mission." Ryo replied formally.

"Oh he looks like a snob." Lynn flitted her eyes to the mirror she was holding, tilting her head to the side a few times.

Douma narrowed his eyes at Lynn, he could already tell she was going to be hot-headed. The minute he stepped into this area he knew this girl was going to be a rather troubling individual.

"Hmph, I know what I'm talking about. These kinds of guys are always full of themselves! First impressions matter!" Lynn added, keeping the mirror in her pocket.

"We don't have much time here Lynn. Hurry up." Ryo demanded.

"Can't we just leave her here? She's going to slow us down!" Douma remarked which made Lynn clench her fist when she heard what he said.

Lynn shot both Douma and Ryo a furious look. "Who does this guy think he is?!" She yelled, pointing an accusing finger at the blonde who stepped away, he didn't regret saying that, it was the truth and Ryo should realize that too.

Ryo was about to say something when Lynn got up and stormed towards him. "I didn't ask to be assigned for this mission! What was Mr Oshiro thinking? I need some time on my own!"

"It's important Lynn. Just cooperate with us."

The angel standing beside Ryo watched the two of them talk things out. "Oh don't make such a big fuss out of it, all you gotta do is sit down and listen during the meeting. It's that simple!" Working with Lynn must be a chore, the fact that Ryo had to put up with this all the time and he hasn't gone mad or maybe he was trying his best not to make the damage obvious.

"How many times do I have to remind you Lynn? We don't have much time, quit complaining already!"

"Oh relax Ryo. Don't be so hard on yourself I'll get ready!"

Woah, Ryo was fuming right now. Douma wasn't sure if making a hypothesis out of this situation would be deemed as an act of intrusion, but it appears that Ryo only starts lifting the dull veil of his that makes interacting with him a total drag when he's with Lynn. Despite the girl's obnoxious behavior, Ryo would rather pour out any frustration he had, whether it's with her or anyone else in front of Lynn, who wasn't surprised by it at all.

"Make it quick."

The dark-haired man returned to his normal mundane self again. Lynn smiled and walked away from him like she had just returned from a shopping spree. Taking her time to exit the area. Ryo knew she was going to spend another decade getting ready so he cleared his throat in case he needed to make things clear.

Douma stood there, watching the crowds of people in the dojo sitting around together, wondering when he'll get to spend another enlightening time with Shinobu and his other two friends again.
