Jay-jay's POV

Three hours! Yes... I actually counted. I counted how long I had been staring at the little red box.

It's not that I have nothing to do in my life so I just stare at it. But I can't help it. I haven't done an assignment with the person who thought of that box.

Is there an assignment?!

I'll think about that next time. As for the weekend, I have a lot of time to do that. To be honest, I'm getting tired of staring at it.

I need answers to many questions. Of course, the first question is 'Why?". Why did he give me a ring? Is it my birthday? No way.

My next question was, 'For what?". What is this ring for? Sign of friendship?

And my last question is, 'What?". What is really going on with Yuri and what is going on in his mind? Nothing to do with his money? He is rich.

I just scratched my scalp in annoyance. As much as I want to text or message Yuri, I doesn't want to touch my phone. And I don't even know what to say.

"Is that a ring?" The question caused me to wake up in deep thought.

I immediately looked to see who it was.

"Aunt..." I said and hid the box in the pile of pillows.

"You hid it, I saw it." She said and sat next to me.

"W-that's nothing... -don't pay attention to it."

Aunt smiled at me. It's like she's teasing and obviously doesn't believe what I said.

She suddenly took the box. Even in a pile of pillows, she still managed to get it.

"Let me look." Aunt said when she got it.

I couldn't speak anymore. Hold it, what else can I do?

She opened the box and I could see her eyes widen in amazement.

She removed the ring from the box and looked at it.

"Diamond ring... Did someone ask you to get married?" Aunt asked.

I quickly answered with a shake. "No.... Why?"

"I saw this ring in a magazine. It's an engagement ring."

E-engagement ring?

Why did Yuri give me an engagement ring? My head hurts. I was very confused about what was happening.

Aunt Gema suddenly took my hand. She slowly put the ring on my finger.

"Size size..." She said and smiled widely at me.

I immediately took off the ring and put it back in the box. I need to talk to Yuri. He needs to explain to me what it is for.

"Who gave it to you?" Aunt asked teasingly.

I bit my lower lip. It's silly if I say my friend.

"Someone I'm not-sure-if-I-want."

Aunt suddenly laughed out loud. I don't know if what I answered was funny or what.

"He gave you a ring and you're not sure if you like it?" She asked me.

I just nodded in response. Aunt held one of my hands.

"Jay-jay... Learn to feel. Don't be numb."

"I feel it. I-I just don't want to be assuming."

Aunt laughed a little. She removed my hair and looked at me.

"Our Jay-jay is really a girl." She said and kissed me on the forehead.

Honestly, when she does that, I feel like she is my mother. Even when I was with grndma, she never failed to make me feel that I could approach her at any time.

"...Come on, let's eat. I've been calling you for a while but you didn't hear me. You're too busy with that ring."

I rubbed the back of my neck. "Oh, I'm sorry."

Aunt stood up so I followed. I first put the box on the study table. We went straight to the dining room where brother and Tito Julz were. There is also Aries who looks like the sky has fallen again.

"Sit down, Jay... Eat." Tito Julz ordered me.

I sat down and spooned something to eat. While eating, Tito and Brother Angelo were talking. Sometimes, Aunt Gema gets involved but Aries and I, here and exchanged looks.

It's getting weird again?!

Before long, he was glancing at me, but his eyebrows met. I feel that he is possessed again.

They really are troops, Keifer. Both are snakes. Strength of brain hits. Maybe that's why they are compared to the King of Snakes.

I was just sitting quietly when the phone suddenly rang. One of their maids, answered.

"Miss Jay-jay... It's for you guys." The maid told me.

"Who's calling?" Brother asked.

"It's Jay-jay's mom."

We were both stunned and they all immediately looked at me. I don't want to answer the call but I know brother Angelo will be angry.

I stood up and went to the living room where the andline was. I hesitated to speak at first.

"H-hello..."

["Jay-jay?"] The person on the other line asked.

I almost fainted when I heard his voice. How long did it take? It's been so long that I haven't heard her voice calling my name?

"It's me."

["Finally, I talked to you too! Why weren't you there when I went there? Do you know how much I wanted to see you. I miss you!"]

"Why?" I asked almost in a whisper.

["Why? Of course you're my daughter! I want to be with you! I have so much to tell you! I'm getting married"]

"Why didn't you tell me that Papa was just here?" I interrupted what she was saying.

It was quiet on the other line but I could hear her breathing. I know she can't answer.

["Jay-jay daughter. It's like this, mom can't tell you...."]

I didn't listen to what she had to say. I slowly hung up the phone without turning off the call. It's up to her to chatter in the wind.

It's rude to be rude but I don't want to hear her explanation. It's just a waste of time if I do that, obviously she'll just make excuses.

I returned to the dining room and continued my meal. I didn't say that Mama was still on the other line.

"What did your Mom say?" Tito Julz's question.

"Just saying hello." I answered quickly.

"That's all? Why does it seem like you only talked to her for a moment?" Aunt Gema's comment.

Because I only listened to her for a moment.

"I-I said because I'm still eating. I'll come again later." I replied.

I noticed the raising of an eyebrow of Aries. I don't know if he noticed it or what.

I hurried the food. Maybe they will find out what I did and hate me right away.

"I'm done." I said and quickly walked back to my room.

When I got to my room, I immediately looked for the ring box on my study table. But it's gone.

I also looked under the table to see if it just fell. But nothing really. Where will that go? I just left it here, unless someone comes in here and----

"Who gave it to you?"

I looked at the door where Aries was standing holding the red box.

"He is just a friend." I answered.

"I'm not stupid Jay."

I can't answer. My brain is too narrow to explain further. I immediately approached him and tried to steal the box but he threw it away.

"Who gave you this?" He asked me again with authority.

Tsk! Damn it!

"Y-Yuri…" I almost whispered back.

He didn't speak. He first looked at the box in his hand. He looked back at me and suddenly threw the box.

I tried to catch it before it fell to the floor.

"Return it." He ordered.

I looked at him. "Huh?"

"Give it back to him!" He's annoyed again. "...And I want you to stay away from them."

My eyebrows met with what he was saying. I think he is possessed again.

"Why would I do that?! Are you crazy?!"

"Do it. I'll talk to brother and ask him to move you to a different Section." He said angrily.

I felt annoyed by what he was saying. Really now? I have been able to do Section E for several months. I have already passed two exams.

"Tell me! I don't want to! I won't move!" I said to him annoyed.

He immediately looked at me badly. "Why are you stubborn?!"

"Whatever!"

He suddenly grabbed my clothes and pushed me against the wall. I felt scared but I tried to hide it.

"Follow my order or you'll never see your father!"

I stopped. What does that mean?

He let go of me and was about to leave my room but I immediately grabbed his arm and faced me.

"What do you mean by that?!"

He shook my hand. "Before he left, he came here. We were already talking about whether he could see you. Brother didn't agree, so he left a contact number and address."

I immediately held his hand so he couldn't leave.

"A-aries... Please----"

"Do what I said and I will help you get his information." He interrupted me.

He shook my hand again and left the room. I just sat on the floor because my knees were weak.

I can talk to him but...

I will stay away from my friends.
