Yuri's Pain

Jay-jay's POV

"Sorry... I shouldn't have called you, since you didn't feel sorry for me and my situation." Drew told me.

Even, if I wanted to talk to him, I couldn't. We are here, what is the point of my lecture. We just kept walking while following Yuri. I'm not sure where this hallway is going.

"Drew... Can you tell me why Yuri was hanging around here?" I whispered to him.

Drew shook his head. "Yuri should be the one you talk to about that."

I can't get that out of my mind. What does he mean that Ella was the reason?

Honestly, I don't like this place. I think that they are doing all illegal business here. Drew admitted to us, he does gamble.

He told me he lost the money he borrowed from me. Annoyed, I pinched myself. I have no money left—I had set aside the amount I lent him, but then he vanished without a trace.

Damn! .

He promised to change himself but of course, When!?

"Yuri..." I called. "...Where are we going?"

Yuri continued walking. "To PAY....." He replied boredly.

This is hard. When you don't know where you're going and your friends don't want to tell you either.

Disgusting!

A little turn and right until I heard loud shouting. It's like someone is watching Pacquiao's fight. A little more walking and the shouting got louder.

Exiting the hallway, there were many people. There was so much and their throats almost burst from shouting.

There is a large prison in the middle. There are two men fighting inside.

"W-What place is this?" I asked.

"Underground fight." Drew replied.

We heard a loud whistle. Not far from the ring, we spotted the Tiger. He was seated on a veranda with a small table and a sofa, the only one occupying it.

As we approached, we could see the fight happening in the center from where we stood.

"I'm sick of the fight! They're pointless!" Tiger shouted and poured wine into the glass. "... That's the kid I'm going to let in. I wish you'd come!" He pointed to Drew at the same time.

He seemed surprised by what Tiger said. From the looks of him and the look of the place, it's obvious that he won't last long.

Someone came up to Tiger and handed him something wrapped in cloth. He put it on the table and lowered the glass he was holding.

"You know what to do Yuri. Old habits..." He said boredly before opening the wrapped cloth.

An Army Knife was covered in the cloth. I looked at Yuri who had no expressions.

What is this Army Knife for?

"You're next, after that fight." Tiger added.

Yuri stood up and immediately took off his polo and t-shirt underwear, as well as his shoes. I saw the scars on his body again.

Yuri took the knife and swung it out of his hand. He seems to know how to use it.

Drew and I took a step back. It was as if he became a different person when he held the knife. I am confused by what is happening.

He looked at the fighter for a moment before facing us. His looks are obviously expressing a lot.

"I will explain everything... But please don't judge me." Yuri said and looked at Drew"...Keep her safe." He ordered him before entering the prison.

He walked away from our place and went to the big jail. I didn't see him anymore because of the crowd.

"Jay-jay..." Tiger called me. He gestured me to sit on the sofa next to him. "...Let's talk first before Yuri's fight starts."

I don't want to. I don't feel comfortable with him. He just seems untrustworthy.

You are silly Jay-Jay!

I was forced to sit on the sofa he pointed to. I'm at someone else territory, I don't want to make a scene and we might be mobbed.

"Where did you meet Yuri?" He asked.

"He is my C-classmate... I'm also in Section E."

He laughed a little. "What a coincidence! I was also in Section E at that school. My classmate was Michael Angelo Fernandez... That's where I met Yuri and others."

Brother became his classmate? It's like their ages are different from each other.

"How did you meet?"

"Hm?... They always used to follow Angelo around. There were even four of them, but I forgot their names. Then, when that guy graduated from college, he let go of those who used to trail behind him."

He answered quickly.

I can't tell him that I'm Angelo's sister if he is angry with brother. I hesitated to ask maybe he would notice that I am interested in brother's story.

"I-Is that the reason why Yuri has been hanging out here?" I hesitated to ask.

Tiger shook his head. "Yuri used to hang out here with Keifer. The place I'm talking about is right here!" He pointed to our spot as he spoke.

Does he mean, Yuri entered the underground fight?---shit! So does he know how to hold a knife? And his scars.

"I-I'm confused."

He stopped for a moment. "The disco upstairs, that's their favorite place to hang out. Then Keifer----oh! He has the power to cause trouble. Fought with everyone!"

Jay-Jay, you are not alone. Now I understand you!

"...All I know is that he got a girlfriend. Then he never came here again." He added.

Maybe that's the time for him and Ella. That's why he became be a good boy.

"...And then it was Yuri, he lost himself. He was fighting outside when I saw him. When we asked him, he didn't answer. Until he said that he was going to join the KingsGround..." He downed a drink. "...I didn't agree. He's still young, maybe he'll imitate me by chance. But he didn't wean and that's it. I found him inside the cage fighting one of my underdogs."

As for Keifer, he didn't come here when he and Ella were together. Yuri was left behind, this could be the reason---shit!

He made me clear everything. That was the time he was broken hearted because of Ella. He hung out here because of Ella!

The shouting got louder for a moment, causing us to look at the big prison. The match is over, Yuri is next.

I can't help but worry. Even if Yuri knows how to fight, it still cannot be decided who will win.

Yuri went inside, holding the knife that Tiger had given him. His opponent has also entered and I will admit it. They are very different. Yuri's opponent is too big compared to him.

Mercy!

The bell rang and Yuri and the enemy immediately formed. Just spin them around. Waiting and feeling who will be first.

Yuri's POV

The last time I came here I met the most unexpected person.

Keifer.

I don't know what I was doing back then. I was not in myself. When Ella chose Keifer, I felt like the world fell on me.

All I knew at that time was that they shouldn't see me. I loved Ella, I wanted her to be happy and I didn't want her to think about me anymore.

It really fucking hurts! In so much pain I just wanted to die. But I was not that weak. I would never let the pain decide for me.

I wanted to get rid of the pain I felt. Move on? I don't think so. But the fastest way for me is if I feel another pain.

Pain V/S Pain

That's what I thought was right. That's what I thought was the fast way. That's what I thought would end my feelings for Ella.

But I was wrong...

It turned out that only one woman will end my feelings for Ella. That's the girl, who is looking at me right now, with full of worry.

JAY-JAY

If I had fought here to feel the pain, to release all the pain and anger and to throw myself away.

Now, I will fight for her. I will fight to defend her, to make sure she is safe and for what I feel for her.

And I will never give up!

Jay-Jay's POV

I'm going crazy!

Every time Yuri and his opponent throw a knife, my heart drops. It's happening too intensely.

"Yuri can do that!" Drew said next to me.

I know, it helps ease my worries. But how can that happen if he's trembling with fear too?

"Leave him alone! Yuri is smart! He knows what to do!" Tiger said.

Even! Because he is a King!

It's a knife fight. Fighting like this, is scary, that's all I know!

""Aaahhh!!!!" he screamed as his opponent suddenly stabbed Yuri in the chest with a knife.

It seemed like nothing at first since he didn't react much, but there was still blood.

"Damn it! I can't watch it anymore!" I said and covered my eyes is.

But I also can't bear not to peek. Shit! when the shouting of the people gets louder. Yuri waved the knife for a moment and hit the enemy. There was a lot of blood and the other one was obviously angry.

Suddenly, the enemy threw his knife at Yuri. He was still standing but was immediately followed by a punch.

"Yuri!" We screamed.

He quickly stood up, but his knife was no longer in his hand. The fight had turned into a brawl. Given the size of his opponent, he struggled to recover.

Yuri collapsed, struggling to get back on his feet. I couldn't take it anymore—I rushed toward them. Knowing I couldn't intervene directly, I stepped in for him.

Since Yuri had fallen, his opponent kept kicking him.

"Yuri! Stand up! Please!" I screamed.

I don't know if he can hear me but I still haven't stopped screaming.

"YURI! Please!"

I kept calling him. For some reason I can't understand, my tears started falling with every scream.

It's not possible! It's not possible!

"Please! Stand up!"
