Ancient Vampire in a Modern World

Ryle almost choked to death after hearing the price of the phone. If he could get that money he would have long been out of the company where he worked before. Mia was not that rich to buy something like that but she could buy it if she worked harder but she was not that kind of person as she was still paying for her sibling's hospital bill.

Although her life was like that she was not considered poor because even though she was paying for it she still had something for herself. She was a high-level player so money can be earned easily for her but she was aiming to buy something that could cure her sibling. 

That item is something that she needed to get her hands on. It is a rumoured item that could cure any kind of disease and it was said to be found outside the earth. It could even help anyone who had lost a limb to regrow it. And although it was such a miraculous item it is still considered as a Rank A item. 

After buying the item Keiji put it in his bag after doing so they get out of the building. The limousine awaited their presence as they walked out of the building.

"Do you wish to go back to the academy or want me to drop you off somewhere?" Klyzer asked them so that she would know if she would ask the driver where to go.

"I'm just going back to the academy, my bike is still there," Mia was the first to reply and decided where to go.

"Me too, I'm just gonna go back to the academy," Ryle followed the suit and decided to go back to the academy the same as Mia.

"The same as them," Keiji said he first planned to drop off to his house but decided not to so that he could enjoy the environment while riding a bike. 

"Ok, then but it's kinda dark now are you all sure. The driver can just get you tomorrow so that you don't need to take the hussle," Klyzer worriedly said. Although Klyzer was cold on the outside she was a caring person and never treated anyone unfairly. 

"Nah! It's alright, it's like an exercise to me," Mia replied.

Klyzer looked at Keiji then Ryle waiting for their answer.

"I am always outside at night and I was already used to it," Ryle said but from the very start of the day until now his heart was still beating abnormally. He wouldn't have ever imagined that the seemingly unreachable person like Klyzer was now asking him with a worried tone. 

And that's not all he was able to talk and get close with the other top beauty and popular people in their academy while he was only on average with a slightly higher grade. Although he was a top student his status and power was not comparable with the two ladies he was just talking to.

That is why right now he felt like wanting to die because he could talk as if they were already close. He thought ' What if she thinks that I am so clingy? What if she doesn't want to talk to me?..."countless thoughts surged and resurfaced through his mind. But what he didn't know is that no one cares what he was thinking and they treat it as normal.

"Its alright," Keiji's replied were simple. Klyzer nodded as a response and they walk towards the limousine. They drove and went towards the academy before getting out of the car.

The car window rolled down and Klyzer heads popped out. 

"Bye, to you all be careful. Mia call me when you get home. Ok," Klyzer said as she was concerned for her best friend.

"You too be careful on your way home," Mia said as she waved her hands at Klyzer who waved back at her.

They all looked at the departing figure of the limousine in the distance and turned their heads around when it was already at a distance. They went and get their own respective bicycles and also departed. 

Ryle went towards the other way, he said that he was going home to play Ravaryn and he also wanted to meet Keiji in the game. 

"Keiji let us meet in the game," Ryle said.

"Ok," Keiji replied.

"Then where are you so that I can go there?" Ryle asked. While Mia listened to what they are talking about but she didn't plan to engage in any interaction with them in the game, she just listened through them. 

"I don't know yet tomorrow I'll tell you," Keiji said.

"Ok, then bye Imma go this way," after bidding his goodbyes Ryle departed and went on his way as he rode his bicycle.

Keiji looked at Mia and said "Then let's go"

Mia nodded and they rode their bikes together. It was already past 9 pm and the sky was already covered in dark while the stars in the sky were glittering. The crescent moon also added some effect to the surroundings. They rode their bike on a wide road and beside the road was the thick forest that was seemingly endless.

Only the moon and the stars illuminated some part of the sky and the road was illuminated by the street lights. The road was eerie and it seemed like there was no other person in the surroundings. 

They are in no hurry to go home so they slow their movements and enjoy the fresh air brushing past their body as they ride their bike. Keiji was also moving at the same pace as Mia as he felt and sensed something in the surroundings. He looked over it and used his power to see what was going on. A transparent gas seeped out of Keiji's body and started spreading in the surroundings and it instantly covered a mile in radius. 

Meanwhile, 30 km away from Keiji's location. An Old man was running through the thick forest while blood continuously seeped out of the wound from his right arm that is missing half of its part. He was running as he kept looking back. He was running as if his life was on the line. He kept grasping his breath as he ran and jumped from tree to tree and sometimes ran across the land. Anyone could tell that from his speed he was no longer a normal human being.

He ran through the forest and in just a minute he already covered over 5 kilometers. And if anyone saw this they would say that he might be the champion of the track & field competition. Although he was running at a super fast speed a shadow was also following him and its speed was no less than the old man. Three shadows continue chasing the old man waiting for the old man to make a single mistake.

The old man knew that if he stopped even just a second that would be the end of his life. He was already on the verge of exhausting himself but he didn't dare to even stop. He just hoped that he could last for another hundred of kilometers or just ten minutes so that he would get to live. 

He was running with all things on the line. His back up was a hundred kilometers away and he just needed to go there and his life would be safe but he was not sure if he could. This old man's name was Han Shin. He was a cultivator and was also good at it but unexpectedly even though he was strong and no one can trample them so easily his grandson encountered a strange disease that will cause its life. 

He felt hopeless and started cursing the heaven. He was just a good man who lived his life cultivating and playing Ravaryn. Although he has enough power to trample normal people and he was considered as a high level player he didn't even use it nor his power in trying to take advantage of the others. He lived an honest life and was good to everyone until his grandchild encountered a strange disease.

And as he kept trying to find a solution he heard a thing called fruit of life which is a fruit that blooms once in a decade. He started searching and browsing through different information to find this so-called Fruit of life. Until he found out that the fruit of life is a tree on earth that can only be seen in a special place. And there are only thirty trees that can produce the fruit of life and they only grow in those specific locations.

But all of those trees already have an owner and all of them are a terrifying organization. And to get his hands on the so called fruit of life he either need something worth the value and it can't be traded with money.
