Chapter 7: ### **Chapter 7: A World Unites**

The man's revolution had begun to take root. Across the globe, whispers of "The Sentinel" spread, carried by those who had been rescued, empowered, or inspired by his work. His technology—Unity Nodes, Aegis Shields, and EternaCore Generators—was no longer confined to Gotham. It was being deployed to regions plagued by corruption, conflict, and neglect.

But with progress came resistance. The global criminal underworld was not idle, and their retaliation was imminent.

### **Shadows in London**

The summit of criminal leaders in London was a high-stakes gathering. Representatives of cartels, traffickers, and black-market tycoons convened in secrecy, determined to discuss strategies against the Sentinel.

SkyLoom had tracked the meeting to an opulent estate in the countryside. The man watched from a safe distance, his drones providing live feeds of the gathering.

"These people control billions in illegal operations," Selina said, perched beside him on the rooftop of a nearby building. "Are you sure about this? It's not just Falcone's thugs anymore. These are global players."

"That's exactly why we're here," he replied. "If they're united, we have a chance to cripple their entire network in one move."

Selina smirked. "I hope you have a plan that's as good as you think it is."

"Better," he said, his eyes glinting.

### **An Unconventional Strike**

The man didn't storm the estate with brute force. Instead, he activated **Eidolon Projections**, holographic constructs capable of infiltrating the building unnoticed. As the leaders discussed their plans, the projections eavesdropped, gathering incriminating evidence.

"Who does this Sentinel think he is?" one of the leaders spat. "A hero? He's just a nuisance—a thorn in our side."

Another leader, a shadowy figure linked to a major arms cartel, replied, "We need to eliminate him and dismantle his systems. Buy off his allies, infiltrate his network, or—if necessary—destroy Harmony Tower."

The man's voice cut through the room, amplified by the projections. "You won't get the chance."

Panic spread as the holograms revealed themselves, broadcasting the meeting's details to law enforcement agencies worldwide. At the same time, drones descended upon the estate, disabling guards and securing the perimeter.

The man stepped into the room in person, his presence commanding.

"Your network ends here," he said. "Surrender, or face the consequences."

The leaders exchanged desperate glances, but they were cornered. One by one, they were taken into custody, their empire collapsing in real-time as their operations were exposed.

### **Fallout and Reflection**

Back in Gotham, the man watched the aftermath of the raid. International authorities praised the operation, but there was a growing undercurrent of unease.

"You've made yourself a lot of enemies," Lucius Fox said during one of their meetings. "Not just criminals. Governments, corporations—they don't like being outdone."

"I'm not here to win popularity contests," the man replied. "If they have a problem with me, it's because they've been complicit in the system I'm dismantling."

Lucius frowned. "Just be careful. When people with power feel threatened, they tend to strike back hard."

The man nodded. "Let them. I'll be ready."

---

### **Building a Network**

To counter the growing threats, the man began recruiting allies. He sought out individuals with unique skills, not just heroes but also innovators, reformers, and activists.

One of his first recruits was **Dr. Tessa Leong**, a renowned scientist specializing in renewable energy. Impressed by the EternaCore technology, she joined his cause, helping to refine and expand its applications.

Next was **Cyrus Raines**, a former military strategist who had grown disillusioned with the corruption in his government. His expertise in logistics proved invaluable in coordinating global operations.

Even Selina, who had initially been skeptical of his ambitions, found herself becoming an integral part of the team. Her knowledge of the underworld and her connections provided an edge in navigating the murky waters of international crime.

"You're building an army," Selina said one night.

"Not an army," the man corrected. "A movement."

### **An Encounter with Amanda Waller**

It didn't take long for Amanda Waller to take notice. The head of Task Force X, also known as the Suicide Squad, was not a fan of rogue operatives disrupting the balance of power.

Waller intercepted the man during one of his operations, her agents surrounding him in an abandoned warehouse.

"You've been making waves," she said, stepping out of the shadows. "Big ones."

"Waves wash away the filth," he replied coolly.

"Careful," Waller warned. "You might find yourself swept away too. I don't like people who operate outside the system."

"The system is broken," the man shot back. "You know that better than anyone. I'm offering solutions while you play damage control."

Waller studied him, her expression unreadable. "You're smart, I'll give you that. But you're playing a dangerous game. If you cross the line, I won't hesitate to bring you down."

"I'd expect nothing less," he said, meeting her gaze.

For now, Waller let him go, but the encounter left a lingering tension.

### **Global Change Takes Root**

Despite the challenges, the man's efforts began to bear fruit. Crime rates in Gotham and beyond dropped as Unity Nodes and Aegis Shields were deployed to more cities. Communities once plagued by violence found hope in the Sentinel's technology.

But the man knew this was just the beginning.

Standing atop Harmony Tower, he gazed at the horizon, his thoughts racing.

"You've come a long way," Selina said, joining him.

"And there's still so much to do," he replied.

She smiled. "You always did like impossible odds."

"Impossible," he said, "is just an excuse for inaction. We can do better. We *will* do better."

As the city lights stretched out before him, the man felt the weight of the world's expectations—but also its possibilities.
