3rd person Pov:

Halloween is over and life is becoming the same old same old everywhere except the Long residence after all there is no such thing as normalcy in a magical family but that's what makes Jonathan's life more enjoyable. Jake is going to his supposed part time job at Lao Shi's shop and Rose is also a now an employee at that shop and Jonathan made certain that she gets a good salary which is 2000 dollars a month meaning 500 dollars per week.

Call it favouritism but the amount of kindness that is in her despite being raised by racist murderers is worthy of praise and a raise in Jonathan's book. But Jonathan can't be a very good person I mean his kill count in previous life was probably in 6 digits and not to mention his favourite faction in Warhammer 40000 is Imperium of Man which has two major slogans. No. 1 is," Forget the power of science and understanding. So much has been lost never to be found again. For in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war." No. 2 is," BURN THE HERETIC! KILL THE MUTANT! PURGE THE UNCLEAN!" So, he should view the magicals as mutants.

But you forgot that the Imperium of Man doesn't ban all mutants just unstable psykers, genestealers and chaos corrupted mutants. But Jonathan worships no god rather human reasoning plus he sees them as necessary part of the balance of the world. Jonathan at the end of the day is human he has both good and bad sides to his personality and behaviours.

Rose is mainly in charge of the cash register and turns out she is a few months older than Jake and she turned 14 a month ago so she can actually work part-time but honestly she just mostly spars with Jake under Lao Shi's guidance which in turn helps both of them refine their fighting techniques.

Rose was in her position doing cashier stuff after completing school. She may have kindness for Jake and his family but for her peers at huntsclan academy and her enemies she has nothing more than arrogance and caution after all everyone wants to stab her in the back and her arrogance is justified after all she as a squire was able to accompany one of the most distinguished huntsmaster as a disciple.

But those are stories for some other day. Currently she is looking at the rugged looking watch that Jake gave her but what she didn't expect was that it's actually a compressed power armour. Lao Shi Pov:

" JAKE!!! WHY ISN'T THE SHOP CLEAN?" Yelled Lao Shi on top of his lungs. " But gramps the shop is so clean that you can eat from the counter." Replied Jake and to prove his point ran his finger on the counter and it was actually clean courtesy of the cleaning bots. " Councillor Chang will arrive here at any minute and everything needs to be perfect." Said Lao Shi. " What? Chang the royal pain ness is going to come here?" Asked Jake.

" Yes, Jake. Councillor Chang is coming here because one of her informers have found the trace of the dark dragon here in New York." Replied Lao Shi. Jake wanted to go and kick the dark dragon's behind but was quickly rejected by Lao Shi and finally Chang came and said that she, Lao Shi and Jake should go to the sewers near Jake's school to investigate.

But Lao Shi flatly refused and said only he and Chang should go and both of them went to the sewers.

Jake Pov:

Jake due to trolling Rotwood had to write a essay describing the person he admires most as a punishment. Jake was torn between his dad and his G. He knew plenty about his dad's past but nothing about G's past. So, he went to Fu dog. Fu dog said," Very well kid, I'll tell you about the old man's past."

Fu dog took out a journal and said," G wasn't always like this he was just like you in his youth. Impulsive, arrogant and thought that he could take on the world but he did have the strength and skills to back up his bragging. On a fateful night of 1972 in Hong Kong I met your gramps and it was a period of my life that I'm not very fond of."

At that moment Trixie, Spud and Rose came in hearing that Fu dog was explaining Lao Shi's past everyone wanted to hear the story especially Spud and Rose both for two different reasons. Fu dog started again," After convincing your gramps to take me on a mission to prove my worth. Me, your gramps and Chang went to Johnny Wong a spider demi human and the best dancer in the entire Hong Kong. After defeating him and his former lover current wife in a dance battle they got the location of the dark dragon. He was last spotted at the Queen Elizabeth a half sunken abandoned ocean liner and at Chang's suggestion me and Lao went to check the cargo hold which turned out to be a trap for Lao Shi.

Before I could help your Gramps I was knocked out cold and didn't wake up till morning and during that time your Gramps became the first dragon to ever defeat the dark dragon and he did so single handedly. But that encounter changed him into the man he is today. Listen kid he cares about you a lot and that's the reason he's so strict on you."

" Are you guys idiots?" Asked Rose anxiously. " What's wrong Rose?" Asked Jake. " Don't you guys see Chang has been working with the dark dragon all this time and it was to capture Grandpa and now Jake." Realization set in and Jake instantly went to full warmode he knew the dark dragon could summon an army of shade demons so Jake called in every favour available to him and Jake had amassed an army of considerable size. The tooth monsters of tooth fairy along with tooth fairy herself, the oracle twins and Veronica all came to help out Jake and rescue Lao Shi.

Rose said to Jake," Jake I need to tell you something." " What is it Rose?" Asked Jake. Rose didn't reply she just stood there and suddenly the wristwatch turned into a set of armour which had some semblance to his father's armour and then it hit Jake hard. He never asked about the armour his dad wore during the camping trip.

Rose said," Your dad noticed the callouses on my hands and he deduced that I have to do some dangerous things so he gave me this armour but he did instruct me to use it discreetly in his message. Now let's go and kick Chang's saggy ass." Jake let out a grin and nodded in agreement.

Lao Shi Pov:

Lao Shi and Chang were reminiscing about their old life and about Lao Shi's frivolous attitude of the past and his bad habits with women. ( Yeah, I checked Susan's DNA and she has no relation with Chang. Thanks universe, after all I was planning on doing somethings on Chang after the Victoria peak events and they violate all forms of rights. After all I need a healthy specimen in order to figure out how to remove the weakness caused by Sphinx hair.)

Lao Shi offered no resistance and accepted the criticism without complaining and at that moment he was caught in a Sphinx hair infused net and the dark dragon appeared before Chang and said," You have done well Chang." The dark dragon looked around seemingly looking for something or someone.( Yeah, the phantom unit left some PTSD.)

3rd person Pov:

Everyone was ready and the plan of attack was complete and Rose put on her armour. Suddenly from the backpack looking part of Rose's power armour a stick the size of a person's forearm. Rose automatically took it and it turned itself into a blue glowing spear.

It was taller than Rose. " Yo, girl wasn't the huntsclan stick enough? Now you got a prettier one, hmm?" Said Trixie in a sarcastic voice. " I didn't even know that this spear was there in the first place and my HUD is now showing its functions.

It can be used as a spear which can cut, stun and penetrate opponents or armours. It also functions as a long range weapon which works in conjunction with my HUD and it fires ion bolts at an effective range of 750 meters and a maximum range of 1500 meters. The spear is super light."

Replied Rose as she spun the spear at high speed and just like the huntsclan spear it also created a shield. " Just what is your father going through?" Asked Cara. " Ooh, a lot. Hehe." Replied Sara. " Don't worry he pulls through and emerges victorious." Said Cara.

Jake and Rose both let out a sigh of relief. All of them dispersed while Rose had active camouflage mode on and she led the others while Jake went searching with Fu dog and finally Jake found Lao Shi hanging from a pipeline on a Sphinx hair net.

Jake carefully released Lao Shi from the net and then the shade demons along with the dark dragon and Chang came out. Chang said," American Dragon you have proven your worth and so we offer you to join us in our conquest to rule both the human and magical worlds." " Uh, what happens to the humans?" Asked Jake. " They serve as slaves and nourishment for us magical creatures. After all magical creatures used to rule the Earth." Replied the dark dragon with an evil laugh.

" First of all slavery is banned and second of all you forget about the huntsclan. As much as I hate to say it they do exist to keep the balance of both worlds though they may have diverted a lot from their original purpose and my dad is human. So, my answer is no." Replied Jake.

" Then you shall perish with your grandfather." Roared the dark dragon. The dark dragon raised his claw and was about to hit Jake then suddenly a long blue bolt flew out resulting in that arm being destroyed. The dark dragon let out an earth shattering roar which seemed to shake the sewers. Jake's friends started showing up, led by Rose.

They started an all out brawl with the shade demons and Trixie and Spud caught Chang in the net they used to trap Lao Shi and the tooth fairy's dress was ruined because she was hurled into the sewage by the dark dragon and she was enraged. She literally started teeth piling the dark dragon and finally threw him out of the sewer using a giant teeth hand and she also went out.

The continuous bombardment of ion bolts and dragon fire of two dragons combined threw the dark dragon into a ditch of construction waste materials and the tooth fairy dropped a few tonnes of construction materials through the crane shattering the dark dragon's physical form. " Noooooo." Yelled Chang. " Don't worry you're going to prison and will get dissected like a frog later." Said Sara.

" Is he dead?" Asked Rose. " Physically yes, spiritually no. He will be back." Replied Lao Shi. All of them went home.

3rd person Pov:

" Well, aren't you going to say something, gramps?" Asked Rose. Gramps cussed in Chinese and said," You were right to want to kill Chang as she was actually evil."

" Annnndddd?" Asked Rose. Gramps let out a sigh and said," You can spar with Jake as much as you want." Rose literally jumped with joy and kissed Lao Shi on his cheek and she went to spend time Ahem! Spar with Jake.
