American Comics: The Girl Next Door is Spider-Gwen

Chapter 10: Gwen Acts Coy! Jessica Gets Smacked!

Ye Li held Gwen in one arm and used his free hand to pinch Jessica's nose lightly. "Don't act innocent. I haven't settled the score with you for playing on your phone during class."

"Oh, that was an accident! I zoned out and didn't notice class had started."

Jessica glanced at Gwen, who was clinging to Ye Li like a koala. "I don't usually act like this, right, Gwen?"

"Hmm?" Gwen just blinked innocently without saying anything.

"Gwen, you're getting back at me." Jessica knew perfectly well Gwen was holding a grudge.

"So, what exactly are you two doing?" Ye Li couldn't help but gently kiss Gwen's pale neck as he looked at her in the enticing costume.

"Mmm~" Gwen pretended to speak softly, continuing to act coy. "Jessica forced me to wear this outfit, Li. You need to punish her."

As she spoke, she turned to Jessica and mischievously added, "Spank her butt~!"

"Hey, you can't do this!"

Jessica knew she had to do something, or she might end up being "double-teamed" by this shameless pair.

She quickly dove behind Gwen and zipped up the back of her costume.

A fully dressed Ghost-Spider (minus the mask) was now revealed.

It had to be said, the cosplay costume she'd picked out was impressively accurate.

"See, bro? Doesn't Gwen look just like her in this?"

Jessica pressed Gwen against Ye Li with one hand, while flashing a peace sign next to her cheek with the other. She wore a slightly mischievous smile as she boasted, "The Gwen you like and Ghost-Spider—double the happiness~."

"Jessica, what are you doing…."

Gwen was deeply embarrassed. The current situation was—

Ye Li was sitting on the edge of the bed, with two girls sitting in his lap.

Gwen was facing him, pressed tightly against him by Jessica.

And Jessica was behind Gwen, pressing her forward…

…in a rather interesting position.

"Double the happiness, huh, Jessica?"

Ye Li pulled Jessica in as well, smirking mischievously. "I think adding you makes it true double happiness."

The two girls' slim waists combined weren't very wide, and he encircled them both with one arm.

"Li, you can't! I'm your…"

"Hmm? It's just a spanking. Isn't it only fair that I teach you a lesson?"

"Huh?" Jessica froze for a moment. So it was just a spanking? She had thought…

Wait! No, that means she was going to get hit!

Smack!

"Ahhh—!"

"Good hit, Li~" Gwen clapped her hands happily. The little boat of friendship had capsized just like that.

Smack!

"Ah~ wuu, Li, why did you hit me...?"

"Sorry… Gwen, I missed."

A short while later~

Jessica held her behind with a resentful look… she had still gotten smacked.

"Hmph!"

She glanced at the scroll Ye Li had placed on the table and reached out to grab it.

"Let me see how the poster turned out. I only got hit because of this!"

The large poster unfolded to a considerable length.

Jessica was already quite tall, but she still had to raise her arms to fully display it.

"Oh, this is great! Looks like getting hit wasn't for nothing."

The poster depicted a neon-lit New York skyline, with a sleek silhouette swinging on webs between buildings. Under Ye Li's design, the black, white, and purple costume looked vibrant, and the dynamic pose made it impossible to look away.

At the bottom, in stylish typography, were the large words "Ghost-Spider."

It couldn't be called artistic, but it perfectly matched young people's aesthetics—ideal for recruiting people to join a fan club.

"A Ghost-Spider poster? What are you planning?"

Gwen realized something was off.

First, they had her cosplay, then they prepared such a flashy poster. Was tonight's party theme superheroes?

Jessica gave her a thumbs-up and said excitedly, "Gwen, I'm starting a Ghost-Spider fan club! I'm announcing it tonight!"

Gwen: "Huh?"

...

Downstairs, the party had already reached a fever pitch.

Someone had noticed a temporary stage set up at the far end.

As a result, many socially confident people eagerly went on stage to showcase their talents, mostly to impress a crush.

From robot dancing, street dancing, and comedic skits to beatboxing and rapping, the performances pushed the party atmosphere to its peak.

One bold girl even wanted to perform a striptease.

However, Harry stopped her, reasoning that it wasn't appropriate for their age.

This left the guys in the crowd feeling disappointed, silently complaining that Harry was no fun.

Harry was doing it for Peter's sake.

Peter was casually chatting with Mary Jane Watson, a member of Jessica's band. If anything provocative happened on stage, he'd surely be embarrassed.

Jessica: [MJ, stop wandering around. Get backstage—we're about to perform!]

Mary Jane saw the message on her phone, smiled at Peter, and stood up. "Peter, I have to go."

"MJ…" Peter watched Mary Jane walk away with a look of reluctance.

A chubby boy took Mary Jane's spot and sat down. "Peter, it doesn't look like you're doing too well. Cheer up! At least Thompson got what he deserved today. That's a win, right?"
