Chapter 24: Chapter : Intoxicating
The storm outside had settled into a soft drizzle, but inside the estate, tension thickened like a noose tightening around Roo's throat.
He lay in the massive bed, staring at the ceiling, his body still warm from where the triplets had pressed against him earlier. Their presence lingered in the room, in the sheets, in the air—everywhere.
They were suffocating.
They were intoxicating.
And worst of all…
His body was starting to crave it.
Roo exhaled shakily, clenching the silk sheets beneath him.
He couldn't—shouldn't—let them win.
He had to hold on to himself.
But then—
Click.
The door opened.
This time, it was Alec.
His golden eyes gleamed in the dim light, scanning Roo's form with an unreadable expression before he stepped inside and shut the door.
No words.
No warning.
Just quiet, slow footsteps as he approached the bed.
Roo swallowed hard. "What—"
Alec sat beside him. The bed barely dipped under his weight, yet Roo felt trapped beneath his gaze.
"You're thinking too much again, piccolo."
The words were a murmur, but Roo heard the warning beneath them.
Then warm fingers trailed down his arm, slow and possessive.
Roo stiffened.
Alec's lips curled. "You're still too tense."
Roo sucked in a sharp breath. "I—"
The door opened again.
Ace leaned against the frame, watching them with lazy amusement. "Still resisting, cuore mio?"
And then—
Another presence.
Heavier.
Darker.
Alexander entered last, shutting the door behind him.
Golden eyes locked on Roo.
"You should sleep."
Roo's heart pounded. "I—"
Alexander was already moving closer.
Too close.
Ace's smirk deepened. "Or… we could tire you out another way."
Roo's breath hitched.
Alec chuckled, fingers still tracing Roo's skin. "We do need to make sure you're not thinking about running again."
Alexander leaned down, voice a soft command. "So stop fighting it."
Their warmth surrounded him.
Their heat.
Their absolute claim.
And this time…
Roo wasn't sure he could fight them off.
Elsewhere…
A blade gleamed in the dark.
A hooded figure crouched by the treeline, eyes locked on the estate.
"The runt is getting comfortable," a voice murmured behind them.
"Not for long," the figure replied, gaze cold.
The wind howled.
And the hunt began.
