Chapter 18: Chapter : Break The Omega
The tension in the estate was suffocating.
Roo could feel it in the air, thick and inescapable, pressing down on him with an almost physical weight. It wasn't just the aftermath of the attack—it was them.
The triplets.
Their presence was everywhere.
Their scent clung to the walls, their warmth lingered in every space he occupied, and their eyes… their eyes never left him.
Roo's Room—Nightfall...
The soft glow of the moon seeped through the curtains, casting silver streaks across the silk sheets.
Roo lay in bed, curled on his side, but sleep refused to come.
Not when he could feel them.
Alexander. Alec. Ace.
They weren't in the room, but their presence wrapped around him like an invisible chain. He had barely been out of their sight since the attack. If they weren't physically in the room, they were right outside.
He clenched his fists beneath the sheets.
This was too much.
His heart pounded against his ribs, his chest tightening with something he couldn't quite name. A mix of frustration, confusion, and something far more dangerous—something that burned at the edges of his resolve.
They're suffocating me.
And yet…
He bit his lip.
His fingers trembled slightly as he curled them into the pillow.
Then why does it feel… safe?
The possessiveness in their eyes. The way their touches lingered. The low, dangerous growls that rumbled in their chests whenever anyone so much as looked at him the wrong way.
He should hate it.
He should.
And yet…
A warm heat spread through his chest, twisting and curling in the pit of his stomach.
Damn it.
A sharp knock at the door startled him from his spiraling thoughts.
He barely had time to sit up before the door creaked open.
Alexander stepped inside first. His movements were slow, deliberate, eyes locked onto Roo like a predator closing in on its prey.
Alec followed, arms crossed, gaze unreadable.
Ace leaned against the doorway, his smirk lazy but his golden eyes dark.
Roo's heartbeat stuttered.
He had seen this look before.
This wasn't just them checking in.
This was something else.
Something deeper.
Darker.
Possessive.
"We told you," Alexander murmured, voice like silk-draped steel. "You're not leaving our sight."
Roo swallowed hard. "I—I wasn't going anywhere."
Ace chuckled lowly. "We know." His smirk deepened. "But that doesn't mean we trust you not to run."
Roo stiffened.
Alec stepped forward, golden eyes glinting. "And that's not an option."
Alexander reached the bed first, his hands pressing down on either side of Roo, caging him in.
Roo's breath hitched.
Too close.
Too warm.
Too much.
His body tensed, but not in fear.
Never in fear.
Ace shut the door behind them with a soft click.
"Get used to it, little omega," Alec murmured, tilting Roo's chin up. "We're not letting you go."
Roo's lips parted slightly, his mind screaming at him to push them away—
But his body?
His body betrayed him.
His pulse thrummed beneath Alec's fingers.
Alexander's eyes darkened.
Ace smirked.
Their omega was learning.
Elsewhere—The Enemy Moves...
The dimly lit chamber reeked of damp stone and blood.
A single candle flickered, casting shadows against the walls.
A man knelt before the hooded figure, his body shaking. "They've tightened security around him."
The hooded man hummed. "As expected."
The kneeling man hesitated. "Should we retreat?"
A slow, cruel smile curved the hooded figure's lips.
"Retreat?" He chuckled, voice laced with amusement. "No. We press forward."
He leaned down, whispering into the man's ear.
"Break the omega."
The candle's flame flickered—
And then went out.
