AI Doctor : From Slave to Beast King

Chapter 108: Tower of Helion

Damien didn't black out, the pain was too much for him to faint. With his body slumped on the floor, he breathed in and out before pushing himself on his fours.

"O' great one, are you alright?" Glen asked while looking at Damien, who waved his hand and slowly got back to his feet.

"I am fine," Damien felt like his insides had been cooked. And boy, it was a feeling that he would never want to have. He walked over to the three men before summoning the blood transfusion kit from his inventory.

Instead of wasting his time deciding whom to help first, Damien turned to look at Gary, whose injuries were the first. With his blood now a universal group, he started the blood transfusion while sewing back Gary's torn arm, which now lay limply on the ground.

[Congratulations! You have treated another patient.]

[Would you like to use the points to purchase the blood transfusion kit?]

Damien gritted his teeth and cursed the system for sucking his blood; nonetheless, he still purchased the two more blood transfusion kits. He had earned these points by making pills and now –

Sobs.

Damien could feel his heart break worse than the time when his girlfriend broke up with him.

Who said that the worst thing that could happen to a man was heartbreak? Just spend a day being broke!

"Don't worry host," Dan heard Damien's complaints and said to him, "This is for your own good, the more fame points you exchange with me..the more helpful I will become to you."

"Don't you still want to find a way to refine the cancer treatment potion?"

Damien's actions paused when he heard Dan's words. Did he? Of course he did!

'Dami, stop crying. I am fine.' the woman lying on the bed smiled at him while cupping his cheek.

Damien who was only eighteen back then cried in an ugly manner. He couldn't understand why God had to be so unfair to him, he was left at the orphanage and grew up without parents.

The only person who was kind to him was the director of the orphanage.

And she too–

'I will find a way. I will save you… this …this cancer will not take you away from me,' Damien promised and the director smiled at him even widely.

'Of course, you will. With you here, how can I worry?'

But of course— with his skills how could he save her?

Damien's eyes dimmed and he clenched the needle between his fingers. Back then he couldn't save the person whom he cared for the most. But was he not going to let anyone go through the same pain as him?

Without saying anything to Dan, he continued treating the three men.

Once he was done sewing the torn arm, Damien used the rewarded points to purchase two more blood transfusion kits. He attached them to the two men before dealing with their other injuries.

"Eye of observation," Damien called out. A screen appeared in front of him. The X-ray showed the broken bone which was snapped into two halves.

Fortunately the bone was cleanly snapped and not into tiny bits or else he would have to perform a surgery.

"Do you have a piece of cloth?" he asked Glen who nodded and turned to run towards the cloth sack that he had brought with him. From the sack he pulled out a piece of cloth and handed it to Damien.

Damien took the piece of cloth from him before looking around, when he didn't find what he was looking for, he turned and said to Thalia, "Go and find me two blocks of wood. Not too thick but sturdy enough to hold things together."

"Yes!" Thalia replied. She walked over to the tree on their left and used her talons to swipe at the trunk of the tree. Two square wooden pieces fell on the ground which she brought to Damien happily.

Damien took the pieces, sterilised them and then used the two to set Willie's broken leg. However as soon as he moved his leg, Willie woke up yelling.

"Keep him still," Damien said to Thalia, who pushed Willie down.

"AHHH! What are you doing? What do you think you are doing?" Willie screamed as he tried to shake off Thalia, who was holding him down.

"Calm down; we are just fixing the broken bones in your leg," Damien said to Willie, who was moving his leg too much.

"Let go! It hurts so much! I said stop—"

SLAP!

He didn't even finish what he was saying when Thalia raised her hand and slapped him.

"Quit flailing around; you are an adventurer. A warrior! And a warrior breaks bones every day. Why are you crying like a sissy?"

The men were stupefied.

Damien, who was about to use an anaesthesia spell, looked at Willie, who had turned silent. He brought his hand down and, with a snap, set the broken bone.

"Clean their wounds with alcohol and warm water," he told Glen while sewing the wound on Timmy's abdomen. "If you leave them unattended, then they will fester. So it will be better if you use clean piece of cloth, alcohol, and warm water to clean these wounds, understand?"

"Yes, great one," Glen nodded.

Damien hummed in response.

He withdrew his hands once he was done. He turned to look at Thalia, who promptly helped him wash his hands.

"I will be leaving now," Damien told Glen as he straightened up on his feet. "But make sure to deliver the money to me if you dare betray me…" he narrowed his eyes and glared at the man, causing Glen to stiffen. He bowed his head and immediately agreed,

"Don't worry, great one! I dare not to keep your money to myself."

Damien withdrew his gaze satisfactorily before turning to Maui. he said to him, "Take me to the Tower of Helion. "
