Agnisotra: Origin Tails

Ch 69: Clownfiesta

Day 1: I woke up to a severe rumbling. I looked outside and saw that this wasn't just a rumbling but an earthquake. I guess the clown fiesta has started, in the 5 years that we lived here we never experienced any earthquakes. I could also spot shades in the town but there weren't that many. I climbed out of my window and had to keep holding out to the walls and roof to make sure I wouldn't fall.

This earthquake was quite severe. Everything that wasn't attached to something else fell to the ground and it seemed that some buildings started to show some small cracks in the walls. I looked around and tried to find out where the epicentre of this earthquake was. It brought me deep into the Lucidus mountain range roughly where the previous root was.

Uh oh, this isn't good. I saw smoke rising from the area there. The hole deep in the ground that Ira made is probably still there. But why is this happening now? I looked around and saw some things that weren't there in the last timelines.

-Greg, wake up! We have a huge problem! - - I hope you are not assuming that I will be able to sleep in this earthquake! -

-You see if it was just an earthquake then that would be fine, I just checked the areas beyond Boshi town. Every place that had a root and that we blasted has signs that we blasted them. This wasn't the case in the other timelines. - - Ugh, what is all this rumbling, what is going on? - -Quite impressive that you could still manage to sleep in this, I bet Raishin is sleeping through this. -

-Are earthquakes supposed to be a thing here? - - What I was trying to tell Greg is that this timeline has the effects of what happened after we blasted our roots. There is a big hole in the mountain that has the PB cave, the same as where we fought the Mountain. Ash potato village is still ash, just no hole in the mountain, which brings us to the root of the last timeline…-

- Right the fusionado. Wait…- -Yup, it upset the whole place because I imagine it setting off explosions. Several mountains are slowly sinking as we speak. It will just be a matter of time before they make a big shift that smoke indicates that there is a chance that we might get volcanic activity…-

-Smoke? Wait give me a second, let me look outside… There really is smoke… any chance it is something else? - - I can't think of anything else and Isi mentioned something like this…- - Well at least it's far away we won't have to deal with most of its bullshit luckily. - At that moment the rumbling became worse as I saw 3 mountains visibly sink a lot. I didn't hear anything yet but I noticed a shockwave it sent out. The clouds around those mountains got pushed away. A column of smoke and ash rose up

-Cover your ears- 15 seconds after I saw the mountains sink, we heard a loud bang paired with loud rumbling like thunder. I could see the panic in the town.

-I’m sure that woke up Raishin. - -Nope, he is still sleeping…- - The world could be ending and he would just sleep through it…-

- The only thing that can wake him up is your snoring…- The pillar of ash rising up started to increase in volume and I saw lava spewing out of one of the mountains that had sunk. The tip of the mountain was collapsing. I linked my vision with my buddies to watch the spectacle.

-We luckily won't have to deal with any of this, the only problem is the ash…- - We will need Raishin to make tornadoes outside the town to act as a vacuum cleaner. Just tornadoes not rednadoes of fusionadoes. - - Well technically he would be cleaning up too if he used those. -

- Cleaning up the air not the town! - - Right, if you wanted to use that teleport circle, Greg, I would advise you to do it now. - Another earthquake followed but this one was a bit more severe than the last one.

- Well guess you were too late, that earthquake just busted your magic circle. - - What! I’m going to check it out! I will speak to you later! - - I’m going to wake up Raishin! - It seems Gregory was going to check up on the magic circle.

I decided to head over to Boshi lake because these earthquakes made the water misbehave. I encountered Cecilia and Charlize trying to keep the lake in check but they were having a hard time.

“Oh, hey Agnis, nice timing could you lend us a hand?” I looked at the lake. It had a large bias toward trying to flood Boshi town. What if I sent all that water toward Boshi lake Major? I cracked my neck and took my tails out. You 2 can rest I got this. I created an ice dam and used [Tsunami] to send all this water away from Boshi town. Well, that was easy.

“What is that skill? Where did all that water come from!” Just a small [Tsunami].

“Tsunami?! The 10th strongest water attack in history?!” Cecilia seemed to be losing her cool. Oh, I knew it was powerful, I didn't know it was that powerful… Anyways we don't have to worry about Boshi lake acting up. I shot some shades down with my daggers imbued with lightning. I have to be careful to not waste my free casts on trash, so I will have to use imbued attacks or my daggers and wires to deal with these shades. The lakeside started filling with shades. They seem insistent on making me waste my free spells on them but I won't let them! Right, you 2 scoot over here! I pulled them in with my tails while I made a magic circle with my wires.

Just bear with this for a bit. I covered us with my tails making a ball and completed the magic circle which created a pillar of fire and obliterated the shades. I checked the status of my free spells. Still, 3 left, completing magic circles like this didn't eat any charges good! The shades are stupid so this works, I don't think I could do this against opponents with a brain. I released the 2 and inspected the area while they were still standing there dazed. Right the shades here are gone, I’m a busy fox so make sure you make preparations to flee this place!

“Wait our memories are a bit weird we have done this timeline or something before right?” Not this timeline but something like this before, talk to your daughter Kanna, it seems that she has a better grasp on what is going on with these timelines cya! I left them behind and went assassin mode on the shades. I snuck up to them and one-shot them. I couldn't use shadow clones because that would eat a free charge.

The sky started to darken as the ash was covering the sky. I could see lightning in the ash clouds that were still escaping from the new volcano. I saw some tornadoes spawn at the edge of the prison barrier on the north. I didn't notice any ash falling yet but it would just be a matter of time. I hope there will be no echoes in this timeline because this for sure would become messy.

A big shade spawned. It was easily over 15 meters tall and it let out a loud roar that could be heard throughout the whole town. Right! forgot there was some hole somewhere where they were leaking from. I put on the correct filter and located it. It was easy to fix this, the rest of the dimensional fabric looked ugly but still whole. What is going on here? Isn't it supposed to be either nice and smooth or how it was the last timeline? I was about to engage the big shade when I heard a bear roar and saw Ted in big bear mode with his bear avatar. I guess he doesn't need help. The bear claws were shredding into the shade. It fought back but the bear avatar is just magic. It seemed to do some damage to the bear avatar but Ted easily fixed it by feeding it a bit more mana. It was completely one-sided and Ted defeated the shade in under 2 minutes.

You got the hang of it. Ted swiped at me as he turned around.

Oh, it is you Agnis, stop sneaking up on me!

My bad, is it a good idea to leave Raishin unattended? We looked on as we saw tornadoes appear at the edge of the barrier. Most of them stayed in place but the earlier ones he cast started to wander a little bit.

His magic control isn't that great so it is just a matter of time before those tornadoes start to move all over the place. The ash has already started to fall so this is just a measure until Gregory finishes the magic circle. So far it seems he is not having much luck, the earthquakes made big tears in some parts of the circle but also small ones in other parts. Same with the one underground, he either will spend a lot of time fixing both or has to erase these properly and remake them. What would be the best in this situation?

You have to ask him but as I see how it is now either one is going to cost him 4 hours maybe more. I tripped up and ensnared some shades that were attacking some townspeople.

4 hours… a lot can happen in 4 hours; I don't think those tornadoes will behave for 4 hours… It is almost noon but it almost looks like it's about to turn into night… We looked up and the sky was filled with dark grey clouds.

Maybe Raishin should use [Solar Stream] to punch a hole through those clouds! That is not a funny joke… we need the non-lethal version of sunshine… You stay here I will wipe out shades in the south of the town.

Ok. I tried to control the shades by attacking wires to their limbs and making them attack other shades but I couldn't manage to pull it off so I just cut them into pieces with the wires. The shades stopped spawning so their numbers gradually dropped but the dimensional fabric slowly started to get worse. There were no dimensional bugs though… There was no festering it just looked like it was starting to get old and wrinkly. I will keep up the comparison with skin until it doesn't fit anymore. So, it seemed to look like aged skin and I think it is a bad thing but I don't know what to do about this. Do I make some dimensional lotion? How do I deal with this? I tried to mimic the mode I was in the last time that I fixed it. I didn't use the illusionary dagger. I just put blue flames on my tails and laced them with spatiotemporal magic and fired it off at the fabric. It ate up my free mana charges.

It seemed to have some effect but just like last time it didn't seem to do enough. And at this point, the fabric started to crack just like dry skin would. I tried to cauterize it but it didn't seem to work. I started to hear some familiar sounds. It sounds like that Thing was approaching again. The Thing started clawing at the fabric again but where normally it would have some flexibility and not get torn through easily this time it just got shredded. I kept firing [fox fires] at the fabric but it was hardly doing anything. And slowly but surely, I started to see more and more of this Thing. So far, the only thing I knew about it was that it had a large number of red eyes with dark purple pupils and that it had claws. I could now see 2 sets of crab or scorpion-like claws and mandibles. I assume this thing is some inter-dimensional scorpion. It was pitch black with some dark purple sheen.

Oh, hell no! There is no place in here for an abomination like you! I tried to keep my wits together because this thing terrified me. I started to realize that maybe the presence of those bugs was a good sign when they were around, I could fix the fabric better and it seemed that when these bugs were around this Thing was less aggressive. Also, maybe they hydrate the fabric? I don't know how any of this works! The Thing attempted to crawl through. And that's when I saw it. Now that I could see what was behind the fabric because there was a big hole in it, I could see something pink behind this Thing. You got to be kidding me, I need to let this Thing through to get the root out?

-Greg, we have a huge problem! - - A bigger problem than this magic circle being irreparable? It will probably take me 5 hours to erase and remake this!-

- Well, you remember that Thing that moved behind the fabric of space right?- - Yeah-

-So it is trying to come in here, I can't fix the fabric so it is probably a matter of time before it does, also behind it, beyond the fabric of our own space I see what I think is the pink root.- -... are you suggesting that we need to let that thing in to gain access to the root?-

- I’m not suggesting anything but I don't think I can get past that thing and somehow bring the root out…- - So how do we defeat it?-

- Well it is the same as those bugs so unless you suddenly learned spatiotemporal magic I will have to solo it…- - Is there any good news?-

- We have found the last root yay!?- -Not helping… I will ask Ted if he can help you defensively if that is even possible to defend against… I have my hands full at the moment. -

- Ok! Don’t die! - - What do you mean I'm just fixing a magic circle! It is you who I have to say: Don’t die! -

-I’ll do my best- Right so the people we care about are still in danger because of the impending tornadoes and this Thing trying to get in. I have no idea how to fight this or fix the fabric… I send more fox fires at this Thing and start circulating nature energy. My mana is starting to run low so I will have to start using frost magic soon, but on what… I made a [Frostcloak] to absorb ambient mana. The Thing swung a claw at me and I dodged it. It seemed to be stuck which worked out for me but one set of claws was already inside our side of the dimensional fabric. Maybe I should completely shift to spatiotemporal magic the fox fires don't seem to be doing much. I regret wiping out the shades because I could use them as a battery. This Thing didn't seem to fire off magic or something I could get energy from it was just swiping its claws and shrieking. Another earthquake and the volcano exploded sending a large volume of magma and rocks into the sky. Right because it couldn't get any worse. I saw Ted looking around, I guess he was trying to find me. I linked my vision with his.

Oh, there you are, whoah! What is that? This is what I have to deal with.

Uhm, I think that thing is out of my weight class, how can I lend a paw? I shifted my gaze upward.

I need you to shoot those down with your [Meteor rain] else it will look like this town will get hit by one. Holy shit! Is that all from that volcanic explosion?

Yup, I would love to help but… I sent a spatial bolt at the Thing’s many eyes making it move back a bit.

You have your hands full; I get it, I will do my best! The problem is I don't know many spatial attacks. I could use [Spatial Distortion] ... I used [Spatial Distortion] and tried to bend space to snap the claws off but this thing was sturdy. Ted started shooting [Meteor Rains] into the sky assisted by my eyes to snipe down the lava bombs raining down on the town. I wasn't successful in pushing the Thing back but it also didn't make much progress in its invasion. But I was consuming way more mana than I got from my [Frost cloak] and I was running nature magic on its max. I was standing on the dimensional fabric so I didn't cause vegetation to sprout and grow but I probably would if I were standing on the ground. I need to make it more internalized to prevent that from happening but at this moment I didn't have the luxury to deal with that. We have a problem… I know.

No there! Dunkey is causing problems again. Let a lava bomb drop on him none of us have time to deal with that.

I will check what Raishin is up to. Ted shot down more lava bombs raining down on the town and I was attempting to push the Thing back but was failing. Its second set of claws also made it to this side and I wasn't safe by standing on the dimensional fabric. But if I want to stand on the roofs it would claw at me and smash the buildings. I made 5 shadow clones. I let 2 help me out dealing with this Thing, 1 to help Ted out and 2 more to gather civilians willingly or forcefully and move them to Boshi lake. I will have the clones help Cecilia to make an ice floe with a dome to protect against lava bombs. Boshi lake Medium seemed relatively safe so that is where they will have to move to.

The north and east of the town were the parts that were getting hit by the most lava bombs falling down. Another explosion sent lava flying into the air. The three mountains have almost disappeared by now. I guess they all got converted into lava and launched into the air. The sky was very dark and lightning was traveling inside the clouds. I decided to shoot a frost ball up there to absorb some energy from the lightning up there. Since my clones didn't care about the objections of these humans it didn't take too long before the area directly under this Thing was evacuated. The Thing let out a roar. Ted who was still linked to me clutched his ears. It made the space quake. Earthquakes, space quakes can everything just stay stable! It crawled halfway into our side. It had more legs than a scorpion thing should have. When it put its legs down on our normal space whatever area it touched started to corrode. Yeah, letting this Thing in, is a bad idea but it's not like I can do anything about it. I dodged a fast-moving object shooting at me.

It obliterated the building I was standing on and the area that got hit was corroding at a very fast rate. What I just dodged was a scorpion tail stabbing at me. This Thing had 3 tails. I’m sure this isn't some 3 tailed mythical beast from our dimension. Other races have multiple tails and do not fall into the mythical category so theoretically, it could still be from our dimension but given these circumstances… I walled off the areas that got corrupted by frost magic. It seemed that this stopped the spread of the corruption but it completely flooded me with energy. I got rid of the frost ball in the sky because, to be honest, it didn't feed me much energy. I started wasting mana by firing off [Spatial distortions] and [Spatial bolts] left and right. I tried my best to not repeat the same scenario where I self-destructed. There was one problem though... The energy influx. I can remove the frost stopping the spread of corruption but then this town was done for. I decided to remove the frost and the corruption started to spread again. I jumped on the ground and plants started to grow around me. I dodged a claw swipe and landed next to the Things leg.

Oh shit! Are you trying to get yourself killed?! Ted dashed at me and picked me up with his bear avatar.

Hey, what's the deal with those plants? I decided to give up on being a fox and decided to be a plant man.

I’m serious look the spot where you just stood is unaffected by the corruption. Plant man is overpowered, wait what? Another tail attack. I swapped Ted with some rubble and dodged. I knew for sure this tail attack was too fast for him to react to.

Ted, a question, what would happen if I blast the whole area with nature energy? I have no idea, maybe this town will turn into a jungle?

Well, the town is already a circus I guess adding a jungle and possibly a zoo wouldn't hurt. I blasted the area with a nature energy wave and all the corruption got pushed back and halted. But as Ted guessed the town was starting to get taken over by nature.

Welcome to the jungle! The Thing almost completely made it to this side and it seems the pink root was wrapped around its 3rd tail and it was pulling the root out into our dimension.

Ted any suggestions on how to lure a giant 4-clawed 3-tailed thousand-eyed inter-dimensional scorpion? I don't know. Lure it with food? I dodged another tail attack and swapped Ted into a young growing tree as he was in range of the follow-up claw attack.

What does this thing even eat? Dimensional maggots? Maybe crunchy dimensional beetles? You gross me out but I guess?

I don't have any! I shot more spatial bolts at the Thing but I already knew it wouldn't do much.

How about you just piss it off? I’m sure that is easy for you! Ted was still shooting down lava bombs. There were few but they could still do a lot of damage. My clones managed to evacuate a large part of the town and made a huge ice raft.

We got an angry telepathic message from Greg. -Guys what is going on? Why is this place turning into a jungle? I can’t finish my magic circle like this! - - Oops-

- Why am I not surprised? - - In his defense, this ehh Thing is corrupting everything it touches and this jungle is countering that. I know that planting your magic circle might get delayed by this but you’re barking up the wrong tree. - I shot a spatial bolt at Ted’s feet.

Hey come on that was a good one!

-I made my clones evacuate people on a huge ice boat, I think you might have to give up on that circle. - -How are the townspeople taking it? -

- Not so well but I don't care. I'm sure they would be fleeing if they could see this Thing. - - Hey guys I finished my tornado duty! What's up next? - - Get half of your tornadoes under control because they start to move inwards to the town. -

- Anything that isn't impossible? - - I will try and help you, I don't have any wind affinity though so you will have to listen carefully to me. -

- Meh, fine! -

Well, I guess Greg just got a task harder than ours! Well, you say that but what are we going to do about this? You want to lure it to drag the root out sure but what after that? You don't seem to do any damage to it.

Oh, I can deal damage to it! I forgot! The Thing prepared to attack and I shattered 200 illusions 4 times to place [Confusion] on it. It shrieked in pain. It seemed to focus on me.

Well congratulations you pissed it off, I think it’s a special talent you have… Heh! I’m not done yet! I froze a big fishing pole with frost magic and threw the line toward where I wanted the Thing to go and attached fish, frozen in a ball to it.

Gogo Thing! The sudden appearance of something big moving fast caught its attention and it followed it at a breakneck speed causing it to trample a big part of the town and dragging the root out in the open. It clawed at the ball of fish and attacked it twice with its tail and the fish started to corrode.

I guess that's not edible anymore… You won't be able to eat it anyway if this Thing manages to kill us! You might also want to look over there it seems it came with friends. Thousands of small things crawled out of the big hole into the open. I would say small but they were still about 1 meter tall. This Thing though, my estimate told me it was around 120 meters tall.

So, what is the plan? We run.

Finally, a plan I like. I grabbed Ted with my tails and weaved between the trees and buildings and headed toward the lake. The Thing shrieked as I dropped more [Confusion] on it. The town was almost completely turned into a jungle now.

Hey, maybe you should stop circulating nature energy. Hmm, good idea. It was a habit by now but I kept circulating nature energy which probably fueled this transformation. The jungle slowly disappeared after I stopped circulating nature energy.

Good thing it is reversible. I jumped on the dome of the boat my clones made as I looked at how the small Things were taking over the town. Raishin teleported next to us with Gregory. It seemed they gave up on controlling the tornadoes. The bad part was that the tornadoes didn't affect the small Things. I linked Gregory and Raishin up to show them what we’re dealing with.

I see things didn't go well. Hmm they don't seem to affect this world just yet but I'm not sure how long that will last, there is still some residual nature energy counteracting the corruption but who knows for how long. Another earthquake.

Noo, noo! Not now! More bad news?

The dragon trapped in the shadow is trying to break out. Great, more bad news?

“Hello, boys!” Before I could react, I got smothered. Help! Azu! You are going to kill him like that… I got freed.

Guys, now we are really screwed, now we also have to deal with this witch!

“Hey, come on! I’m here to help! But there doesn't seem to be anything to help with… And you're barefeet again...” Right… you can't see this mess. Link her up!

Yes yes, you are forgetting that this isn't as easy as I make it seem, I've been with you guys since forever that's the only reason that it is easy.

“Ooh, I get to see things from your beautiful eyes? Lucky me!” Ugh, my headache returned… Azu come here. Not that close! Well, I guess this works. Lucky guy, he gets a hug from a hot chick…

Right, since you are way stronger than me can you try to match my wavelength?

“Can I play with your tails in the meantime?” Ugh, really?

“Yes! Thank you!” She grabbed 2 of my tails and played with them while continuing to hug me. I can feel that you’re done, that was insanely fast…

“Noo, I'm not done yet!” You just want to play with my tails! I tried to link Azu’s vision with mine and it went smoothly. I could feel that she was shocked.

“What is that!” Azu, please... You're squeezing the life out of me! I explained the situation.

“Ooh, I can help! I think…” That works. Ooh, pick me! Nope, I need you to help me out Raishin, I need you to teleport to that mountain there and feed me energy to deal with that dragon.

Wait that's happening now? Not now but I want to be prepared, Agnis can you show him where to teleport to? I would love to if I knew what mountain you’re talking about.

Right... Where was that marker filter, uhm let's see oh here, this mountain.

“Oooh, this is so cool! Hey, Agnis do you want to become my research partner after I've dealt with the mess my release will cause?” Uhh, let's focus on escaping first! Ok, let's go, Greg! What about me? Can you lead these people to the underground city? I hate to say it but you only have 1 life…

Hmm, that is fine. Ok, you can kick us out of the link Agnis, it will probably distract us, let's go Raishin! Roger! Do you still remember how to get down there?

I have a working memory yes, I will be fine make sure you don't overdo it. Everything will be fine!

Yeah, I don't buy it... Hey Azu can I ask you something?

“Hmm? Of course sweetie! Ask away!” Can you make sure this guy doesn't die? Jeez what an overprotective brother.

“Of course! I won't let him die on my watch!” Azu took a confident pose. Good, then I have nothing to worry about, I'm sure Agnis won't be able to die even if he wanted with someone as stupidly powerful as you. Hey!

“Don’t worry, I’ll take gooood care of him!” Hey... that didn't sound right! I kicked Ted out of the link and I dodged a bear hug from a blue haired witch. We need to deal with those things!

“Just one more hug!” You can hug me and play with my tails all you want after we mopped up those things! At that moment I felt instant regret. The way she looked at me after I said that made me more scared of her than these Things.

“Deal!” I might have made a mistake… Azu spiked in magical power, grabbed my hand, and jumped at the Thing. Whoa, wait! We landed on the Thing and she covered her foot in spatial magic and stomped on it. The Thing went through its legs and fell to the ground.

“Hey have you used my skills yet?” Uhh only [Tsunami], it is super useful.

“Aww you called me useful!” I dodged another bearhug but was caught by a follow up. How does she even keep landing these hugs she isn't moving extremely fast or anything. Focus, please…

“Right, let's get rid of those tails first.” The Thing was continuously trying to attack us with its tails but Azu made a dimensional barrier to block them. Hey, can you teach me some spatial skills?

“I can but do you really need them? You should have almost unlimited freedom in forming spells now, right?” Oh…

“Are my skills that untrustworthy?” Ehh, no not that it’s just that most things I do are out of habit, I have used it several times but I haven't put much energy into it yet…

“Hmm, that makes sense.” Azu formed a hammer out of spatial magic and hammered it on the Thing’s back and kept going and crushed 2 of the big Thing’s tails when they attempted to attack her.

“So how about we use a combo attack! Let's use every skill I gave you to wipe these Things out!” I released another wave of nature energy because corruption started to encroach on Boshi town and the jungle started to grow again. Uhm water doesn't work on these things. Azu laughed.

“Silly Agnis, that doesn't matter if you mix it with spatial magic!” She sent a [Water blast] at a small Thing and it got obliterated, it also made a crater in the overgrown pavement.

“You know that spatiotemporal and lightning magic are the only types of magic that can mix with other magic without affecting the outcome of the magic skill much right?” Uhh, I did not know that, I guess I've been unconsciously lacing fire with spatial magic.

“Oh, that seems to be normal for spirit foxes! Anyways just do it with water, I’m sure you can do it.” I don't think I've ever mixed spatial magic with anything besides fire.

“How about I help you a bit?” Hey hey, what are you doing? I got this! I stepped back and fired a [Water blast] at a small Thing but it didn't do anything.

“Come on! Let me help you!” I ran away from Azu while trying to properly mix spatial magic with water magic. This was trickier than I thought. Doing it with fire was quite instinctive. I had to think for this. Moreover, I had a blue-haired witch chasing me!

“Oh, I don't mind doing some chasing! I love a challenge!”. I was way faster than Azu, but she was using spatial magic to cheat and catch up to me. So, I got unnecessarily extra pressure on me because I needed to figure this out before she got serious and caught me. She still seemed to be acting playful. In the meantime, I blasted small Things with fox fires laced with spatial magic and obliterated them. There were so many... The root got dragged out more in the open and smaller side roots grew out of it and burrowed into the ground. I sent another laced [Water blast] at a small Thing and it got destroyed. No crater in the pavement though…

“Aww, you figured it out by yourself…" Sadly this didn't stop the chase. I swapped myself with a small Thing.

“Hey!” I fired off more [water blasts] and other water skills laced with spatial magic to make sure I got it right.

“Wow, it only took you a half hour to figure that out, that took me 2 hours when I first thought of it!” What a monster… I had my tails assist me in this. You don't have any tails…

“Hehe, I’m amazing, eh? Now praise me by letting me play with those fluffy tails!” I don't think that's how praising works! I swapped myself with more Things because I had the feeling she got used to my speed and could catch me if I got unlucky.

“Ah right, I forgot, you will only let me if we wipe them all out! Now that you figured it out come here!” She instantly caught me by using spatial magic and moved us to the edge of Boshi lake medium. I got caught…

“Yes, you are a naughty boy and I will have to teach you a lesson!” What?

“Ahem, well just follow my lead! I need you to do your best because your spatial magic seems more effective on them than mine!” Are we going to use the combo that you used to slap that jerk Zarrazax?

“Yes! It is as if you read my mind!” I’m starting to become concerned that I might get completely sucked in your pace.

“You remember how it goes right?” Ehh, [Tsunami], 2 skills of which one has to do a lot of damage, and then [Azure mist]?

“Yes! Let's show these Things not to mess with us!” We both used [Tsunami]. The idea sounded good. But I just saw 2 enormous walls of water move toward Boshi town. Mine was 50 meters high, Azu’s [Tsunami] was 100 meters high. The waves swept the big Thing away. Of course, the small Things stood no chance. I formed a [Water ball] into the form of an icicle and threw it at the big Thing, Azu used a [Water blast] and a water skill I didn't know but a huge shark made out of water jumped out of Boshi lake and bit off the Thing’s last tail. It continued to swim around and bite off the legs. I decided to fire off a variation of a skill that I used before. I used [Foxfire: Summer Heat] It was a foxfire 4 times larger than [Foxfire: Winter’s end] and it was multi-colored, it was mainly a blue flame but it had red and orange flames mixed with it.

“So pretty!” It dropped down and it created an enormous steam explosion. This was deliberate. I was cheating and sneaking in an extra attack but it wouldn't eat a free charge because it was a reaction between dropping this on a big body of water. Since the water and the fire were laced with spatial magic this steam explosion was too.

“And now for the finale!” Azu seemed very excited and she was spreading out her hands like she was enjoying this. Water vapor was covering the whole area but I guess that didn't matter because our next attack is [Azure mist] so water vapor or not the area would get foggy anyways. We both used [Azure mist]. The fog turned azure-colored. The Thing screamed and went silent. Wait, what happened?

“It died too fast!” Wait how? I didn't see what happened!

“It died too fast!” Azu seemed like someone who just had someone ruin her party. The fog disappeared and revealed an enormous crater caused by the steam explosion. I tried to fix the big spatial hole but nothing I did would work. I just decided to make a [Firewall] laced with spatial magic to make sure no smaller Things would get in.
