Chapter 16:

Chapter 16: Lin Yun’s Master Appears!:

When Su Yuanshan received the news, his fury boiled over, and he spat out a mouthful of blood. “Is God determined to destroy my Su family?” he cried in despair.

As a powerful man in the Heavenly Realm, Su Yuanshan never imagined that the major forces would turn their backs on him so ruthlessly. He was left bewildered.

“Why? Why is this happening?” he muttered, unable to comprehend their sudden hostility.

After a long, deep sigh, he turned to his daughter, Su Mengyao.

The tension between them had only grown since recent events. “How is Qing’er?” he asked, his voice heavy with concern.

Su Mengyao hesitated before replying, “I don’t know how my brother is doing.”

“You don’t know?” Su Yuanshan’s temper flared again, but he forced himself to remain calm. “Aren’t you in the Heavenly Vault Holy Land? Go and find out how Qing’er is doing.”

“I…” Su Mengyao stammered, clearly uncomfortable. She had tried to inquire about her brother’s condition, but every time she asked, people either made excuses or claimed ignorance.

Even the elders, who once treated her kindly, now responded with cold indifference.

Noticing her discomfort, Lin Yun stepped forward.

“Uncle Su, leave this to me,” he offered confidently. “I have a way to find out where Xiao Qing is, and I can even rescue him.”

“Really?” Su Yuanshan’s eyes widened in surprise and hope.

“Yes, really,” Lin Yun assured him. “I’m now a disciple of a powerful elder. If my master is willing to help, she can definitely rescue Xiao Qing.”

“That’s wonderful! Thank you, Xiao Lin.” Su Yuanshan said, finally allowing himself a moment of relief.

Then, glancing at Su Mengyao, he added, “Xiao Lin, I must also ask you to take care of Yao’er. She’s been through a lot lately.”

Lin Yun’s heart swelled with happiness, sensing a deeper meaning in Su Yuanshan’s words. “Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of Mengyao,” he promised.

Meanwhile, Qin Yuan had arrived at the Law Enforcement Hall.

There, he found Su Qing in a miserable state—ragged, unkempt, and utterly broken.

The once-arrogant man who had insulted Qin Yuan was now a shadow of his former self, his spirit crushed by relentless torment.

Qin Yuan’s gaze was cold and unfeeling as he looked at Su Qing.

This was exactly what he wanted, but it wasn’t enough.

Turning to the elder beside him, he commanded, “Release Su Qing. I have something to ask him.”

The elder, not daring to disobey, immediately released Su Qing.

A flicker of life returned to Su Qing’s eyes as he recognized Qin Yuan. “Qin… Qin Yuan? It’s you!!!” he gasped, his expression twisting into one of fury. “I’m going to kill you!!!”

Like a wild beast, Su Qing lunged at Qin Yuan, intent on tearing him apart. But before he could reach him, the elder restrained him, shouting, “The Holy Son is here! How dare you act out of line?”

Su Qing struggled violently, his eyes burning with hatred. “Let me go! I want to kill him! If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have suffered this torture!” he roared, his voice hoarse with rage.

Qin Yuan remained unfazed. “Take him to the Holy Son Palace,” he ordered.

“Yes, Holy Son.” The elder responded, and Su Qing was dragged away.

In the Palace, Qin Yuan sat like an emperor on his throne, looking down at Su Qing with icy indifference.

“What do you want from me?” Su Qing snarled, his eyes blazing with anger.

“I want to turn you into a puppet,” Qin Yuan replied calmly. “A weapon in my hands to destroy the Su family.”

“What!!!” Su Qing’s eyes widened in shock and disbelief. “You… you can’t do this!”

“I make the rules,” Qin Yuan said, his voice cold and final. “Senior, it’s time to begin.”

Though the hall appeared empty, a figure materialized beside Su Qing, sending a chill down his spine.

“Who… who are you?” Su Qing stammered, terror seizing him.

Jun Shangyun, the figure who had appeared, looked at Su Qing with mild disdain. “Why bother with someone so weak? Even as a puppet, he’ll be of little use.” He remarked.

“Just do it,” Qin Yuan commanded.

Without hesitation, Jun Shangyun struck, piercing Su Qing’s chest.

As Su Qing’s life drained away, a voice echoed in Qin Yuan’s mind:

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for eliminating someone connected to the Son of Luck. Lin Yun’s luck value has decreased by 2,000. The host has gained 2,000 villain points and a realm improvement card.]

As Su Mengyao’s brother in the original novel, Su Qing had a close relationship with Lin Yun. Thus, his death brought rewards from the system.

Qin Yuan’s true plan was now clear.

By turning Su Qing into a puppet, he intended to use him to carry out a series of assassinations against the Su family. It would be a bitter irony if the Su family were destroyed by one of their own.

Meanwhile, Lin Yun brought Su Mengyao to his master, Shen Ruoyan, a peerless beauty and the supreme elder of Heavenly Vault Holy Land.

Lin Yun explained that he wanted to rescue Su Qing, and Shen Ruoyan quickly agreed to help.

However, when they arrived at the Law Enforcement Hall, they learned that Qin Yuan had already taken Su Qing away.

Su Mengyao was left in shock, unable to understand why Qin Yuan had taken her brother.

“Let’s go to the Holy Son Palace.” Shen Ruoyan said decisively.

But as they approached, they were stopped by a powerful Nirvana realm guardian. “Without the Holy Son’s permission, no one may enter.” He declared.

“Not even I?” Shen Ruoyan’s powerful aura emanated as she challenged the guardian.

“This is the sect’s rule, and even the Supreme Elder must follow it.” The guardian replied, unyielding in his duty. This response clearly displeased Shen Ruoyan.
