Chapter 51 – The Knight
“What knocked you out so suddenly?”
Elana chose not to answer. “I am dirty.” She instead tried to brush away the dust that stuck to her sticky skin. “And so are you.”
“That was an incredible orgasm you had.” Moira continued to comment. “Like, damn. You gushed like a fountain, and your eyes and mouth… It was really hot.”
They were walking back towards the Academy’s grounds. It was already evening. Most of their day was spent in the church, catching their breaths.
“We need a shower.” The dust didn’t leave her body. She remembered there were no showers on this speck of dirt. “Or a bath. Anything to get clean.”
Moira didn’t share the sentiment. “I don’t mind it, you know.” She ran her palms over the spots where Elana’s discharge had landed. “I like carrying your scent.”
“You sound like Catarina.” Elana flatly noted. Her hair was a mess, but somehow, Moira’s wasn’t.
It was quite enviable. Moira had spent the most time dusting off the floors, yet she looked almost pristine.
“Sounds like I will like her.” Moira happily skipped a couple of steps ahead. “She seems like a fun girl. When are you introducing me to her?”
“Upon our next meeting. She was quite excited to… Smell you…” Elana shrugged. The women in her life were weird. That was a fact. “Or us both, as she said. At the same time.”
“Kinky.”
Elana watched the dawning sun’s light shine on Moira, making her appear holy. She squinted. Or maybe her damned woman was glowing a little. It was hard to tell. She better didn’t do that now that she was a Saintess.
Come to think of it, wasn’t the Saintess portrayed as sometimes glowing in the game? Elana had thought it to be a design choice - to show the heroine’s new status, but…
“Hey,” Moira looked down at her hands. “There is something strange happening with my skin.”
Elana tried to recall all the moments the heroine had glowed. It was during the heat of the battle, during moments of romance or in the middle of deep sorrow. “How happy are you?” She furrowed her brows.
Moira twirled around and curtsied. “Oh? Lady wants to know?” She continued to spin, running ahead of Elana. “I think I am the happiest girl in the whole world!” She squealed towards the evening sky.
So, it would likely continue. “I didn’t sign up for a glowing spouse.” She sent a look of distaste at Moira. If only her woman didn’t look so damn good, she would have complained more. “It is probably due to heightened emotions.” She guessed.
“Oh. So I am going to glow for a while longer.” Moira nodded. “What else can you tell me about being a Saintess?” She returned to studying her shine.
What else was there? Elana had trouble recalling. “Some form of healing.” She hesitantly began telling. This was part of what worried her the most. If she understood the Saintess correctly, it was a mild form of body alteration - a power Elana could also receive through their bounded bracelets.
“Increase in general magic prowess.” Elana continued and watched Moira form a current between her fingers. She received the same boon, so hopefully, their power balance wasn’t disturbed. “You get the respect of the common folk and are allowed to make suggestions directly to a king.”
“Does he have to listen?” Moira tilted her head in wonder.
“I don’t know. And you would have to be recognised as a Saintess officially first. They have an artefact at the royal place that can do that. Or alternatively, we could seek out a high-standing priest or a larger church.”
“Hmm, that could be useful.”
“Yeah, but…” Elana chuckled. “You would have to attend various ceremonies and help the poor and the like as part of your new status.”
This news finally made Moira’s glow diminish. “What the hell? Charity work?” She kicked a patch of grass. “I don’t do charity work. And don’t look so smug. Didn’t you say you became a Saintess’s knight or something? What is that about?”
Elana shrugged. “I have to protect you, and in return.”
“So, a literal knight in shining armour.” Moira began laughing and slapped her knees. “That's hilarious!”
“Well, not literal-” Elana stopped. Didn’t the prince in the game also sometimes shine? Much rarer, but…
“Bwahahaha!” Moira doubled over, almost falling. “You! A knight! In shining armour!”
In the end, Moira did fall while laughing. Elana walked closer and kicked her. “Shut up. It is not that funny.”
It didn’t work. Moira continued to roll around while chortling. “Oh, my knight! I was assaulted just now.” She rubbed her butt where Elana’s foot had just landed. “Protect my holy self from the evil!”
Elana regretted ever telling Moira anything. She continued to halfheartedly kick the laughing girl. The physical pain she inflicted did make her feel better.
And made Elana horny again. She had to admit - the way Moira shined enhanced her every movement. The way her woman moved her limbs left a soft afterglow and made her every feature more defined.
There was another way to shut up Moira. Elana glanced around, then dropped herself on top of her woman.
Moira gasped, suddenly being pinned down - she welcomed the assaulter by parting her lips and closing her eyes. “Oh… The evil has captured me…”
“Your purity is mine.” Elana played along despite finding the notion silly. “And soon, so will be the kingdom.” She pressed her lips against Moira’s, gently kissing her mate.
“Mmm~!” Moira’s glow increased. She giggled. “I guess, to keep the kingdom safe, I’ll have to keep you busy.” Her arms began wandering all over Elana’s body.
“You can try.” Elana kissed again - this time more forcefully.
“I will…” Came a whisper.
“Mhm…”
“...love you…”
Elana didn’t reply, sealing their lips as she stole Moira’s breath.
