Chapter 17: Maxed Out Dodge Skill
Chapter 17: Maxed Out Dodge Skill
“Su Mu, don’t say we’re bullying you with numbers. You made Lin Xiang cry and then provoked us – someone needs to teach you a lesson,” Zhang Gong snarled, lunging forward with a punch aimed at Su Mu’s nose.
Zhang Gong’s intent was clear – he wanted to ruin the pretty face that his goddess had fallen for. Just a pretty boy, after all.
Chu Hanting’s eyes narrowed coldly, ready to intervene.
But Su Mu dodged with lightning speed.
Though he didn’t know martial arts, his previous life of dodging his father’s slaps had given him excellent dynamic vision – he could predict attack paths in advance.
In other words, low attack power, but maxed out dodge skill.
When the first punch missed, Zhang Gong’s momentum carried him forward. His swinging fist transformed into a side strike.
But Su Mu moved faster. After dodging the punch, he stepped sideways to Zhang Gong’s flank while grabbing the food tray from the table. Using his forward momentum, he slammed the tray into Zhang Gong’s face with a “bang.”
Su Mu quickly let go. The stainless steel tray clattered onto the table and rolled to the floor.
The hot, fragrant food was now perfectly plastered all over Zhang Gong’s face.
Su Mu had already retreated from the danger zone after letting go.
As for Chu Hanting, once he realized what Su Mu was planning and confirmed he was no longer in danger, he’d already moved to safety.
So only Zhang Gong himself suffered the full brunt of the food spray.
He looked completely pathetic.
The watching students had been worried when Zhang Gong attacked.
After all, between a clean-cut student and a delinquent, the outcome of a fight seemed obvious.
But Su Mu’s clever move had not only deflected the attack but gifted Zhang Gong a face full of food.
Laughter erupted around them.
Even Zhang Gong’s own followers were struggling to hold back their laughter.
Though they felt bad for their boss, it was just too funny.
Zhang Gong tried to curse but rice grains fell into his mouth when he opened it. He could only close it again and angrily wipe his face.
But his wild wiping only made things worse – when his features became visible again, his appearance was beyond words.
His face was covered in sauce and soy sauce stains. Only after a follower handed him tissues and he wiped his face and spat out the rice grains stuck to his mouth could people look at him properly again.
Zhang Gong was left with the aroma of food clinging to his face, detectable from a distance.
His image was completely ruined.
“Damn it, Su Mu, you’re asking for death.”
Hearing Zhang Gong’s words, his followers prepared themselves, just waiting for his signal to grab Su Mu.
They figured Su Mu embarrassing Zhang Gong was his limit. Once they all rushed him, they’d settle the score. They wouldn’t kill him, but they could put him in the hospital for months – they were experienced at this kind of thing and knew their “limits.”
Su Mu moved unhurriedly, his eyes showing no fear. His calmness in the face of danger confused Zhang Gong’s group.
“You brought all these people to corner me and attacked without reason. I can’t defend myself? Should I just stand still and let you hit me? Dream on.”
“You’re starting a fight here with so many witnesses. Do you think they’re all blind? Or will they all give false testimony for you?”
Su Mu glanced at the crowd and smiled, “That student with the phone – you’ve recorded their gang assault, right? Make sure to get clear footage, zoom in on all their faces. Add me as a friend later and send me the video. Save it to the cloud now so no one can destroy the evidence.”
“Don’t worry though – if these shameless people try to grab your phone, everyone else should record that too. We’ll document their crimes and report them to the police together.”
The freckled girl he’d pointed out was startled – she’d just raised her phone, but not to record their conflict.
She’d actually been trying to photograph the man in the suit, who’d caught her attention with his perfect proportions and powerful presence in his suit, especially that attractive smirk while watching the scene.
She’d thought she wouldn’t be noticed from this distance.
She’d been about to deny recording, but at the mention of adding contacts, she couldn’t resist.
If she could add one, she could add both – either would be worth it.
So, tempted by good looks, she straightened up and called out, waving her phone, “Yes! I recorded everything from when you came in causing trouble. I’ve already backed it up to multiple clouds. You can’t delete it all. There are too many of us to be afraid of you!”
The Beijing Drama Academy students united against the outsiders who’d invaded their space.
More voices joined in: “That’s right, we’re not afraid of you. Outsiders get out!”
“I’ve already notified our counselor. Security is on their way!”
Zhang Gong was baffled… After years of running wild between both schools, he’d never seen such unity before.
“Boss, should we…?”
At that moment, a group emerged from the kitchen – some wielding knives, others with pot lids and cutting boards, while cleaning staff held mops. They made it clear they wouldn’t let anyone bully their students.
Zhang Gong: …
He glared at Su Mu one last time and spat, “Just you wait. If you’ve got guts, don’t leave campus.”
“What a coincidence – I live on campus. If you want to guard me, you’ll have to stay awake day and night, camping at the gate until you dry up.”
“Hey, you…” Zhang Gong’s anger flared again as he moved to strike.
But the school security had arrived.
“What’s going on here? Everyone disperse!”
With security’s intervention, Zhang Gong’s group had no choice but to leave campus.
Before leaving the cafeteria, Zhang Gong looked back one last time, catching Su Mu’s silent mouthed words: “Safe travels, no need to see you out.”
Reading this, he turned to fight but was restrained by security guards who forcibly escorted him out.
The drama finally ended.
Chu Hanting watched Su Mu’s small, triumphant smile with great interest, thinking ‘He’s quite clever.’
He’d thought Su Mu wouldn’t be able to handle it, but instead he’d used his surroundings and expertly manipulated others’ psychology to defuse the crisis.
With the excitement over, everyone returned to their routines – eating, cooking, restoring order.
The cleaning staff came to tidy up the mess.
Su Mu just looked at the wasted food with regret over the waste.
