After Being Abducted and Raised by A Snake

Chapter 10

Wan Zhong reflected on himself.

Since when had he actually felt such a peculiar sense of security from a snake that used himself as a reserve food?

Wan Zhong felt the need to remind himself.

The seemingly harmonious relationship between him and the black snake was entirely based on the premise that he was its food reserve.

Once the black snake wanted to eat him or it desired to shed this relationship, there would undoubtedly be a bloody battle between them. The loser would undoubtedly be himself.

Before, he had always considered staying with the black snake as a temporary measure, hoping for rescue. However, the current situation suggested that he was very likely to have traveled through time and space. If nothing changed, he would have to remain on this desert island for the rest of his life, accompanied by the enigmatic black snake until his last breath.

If he genuinely wanted to survive in this brutal survival game, then he must readjust his strategy…

Wan Zhong thought carefully for a moment, got up, took a piece of meat, and called the black snake: “Hello…. Hi… hello?”

The black snake turned its head in confusion, baring its two large white fangs, wondering who was calling.

Wan Zhong shrank his shoulders and whispered: “Sorry, I don’t know your name.”

The black snake narrowed its eyes slightly, looked at Wan Zhong holding up the meat in his hand, and said to the snake, “Are you hungry? Here’s a piece for you.”

The black snake showed no interest and turned its head, continuing to gaze into the mirror.

Wan Zhong: “…”

He had been with the black snake for so long and had never seen it eat anything. Besides snake fruit, the black snake had never brought back any other food to the snake nest.

What did it usually eat?

Could it be eating the prey on the spot after catching it?

Despite encountering many wild beasts last night, he didn’t see the black snake touched any.

How did this snake eat then?

Regardless, Wan Zhong was pleased that the black snake showed no interest in raw meat. He called it again: “Let me give you a name, okay? Otherwise, I don’t know how to call you. Just call you… Little Black? Big Black? Blackie? Or Snake? Which one do you like? Or do you like them all?”

The black snake blocked his inner ear and asked the mirror.

[Mirror, mirror.]

[Why does this foolish human believe that I, who exudes charm so handsome that I split the sky, should bear such a rustic name?]

[I graciously permit him to address me as husband~]

.

At night, observing the black snake ignoring him, Wan Zhong thought it must have a certain fondness for beauty and a touch of narcissism. Rolling his eyes around, he cleared his throat, formed a trumpet with his hands over his mouth, and declared loudly to the black snake:

“You are the most beautiful! Handsome Snake! Everyone falls in love at first sight! There’s only one in the world. What a handsome snake! How about I call you Handsome Snake from now on?”

The black snake: “~~~”

How could a simple and rugged name match its unique and beautiful snake face?

But…

For the sake of its spouse’s bold confession and such a charming courtship, it could only reluctantly agree for the time being.

Wan Zhong looked at the black snake that finally turned to him, happily spitting out snake tongue, guessing that it probably liked the name.

He immediately gathered courage, touched its tail, and asked, “Handsome snake, could you lend me your mirror? Can I light a fire and grill some meat for you?”

The black snake: “…”

It sought the opinion of the mirror which was inseparable from itself, full of internal struggle.

[Mirror, mirror.]

[I really can’t let you go~]

[But…]

[He called me Handsome Snake!]
