Abnormality In Type-Moon: Madness Of Animeverse

Chapter 92: Chapter 92: "I Will Destroy the Mage’s Association."

"Zuiemon is at the Mage's Association?"

At Aozaki's residence, Rin Tohsaka widened her eyes in shock after hearing the news. Then, almost as if coming to terms with something, she let out a sardonic chuckle.

"So that's how it is. This is exactly their style!"

The living room was eerily quiet, occupied only by Rin and Roy.

After unexpectedly running into Bazett at City Hall and learning from her that Zuiemon had sought refuge with the Mage's Association, Roy couldn't sit still anymore. He immediately returned to Aozaki's residence.

The moment they arrived home, Utaha Kasumigaoka, ever cautious, whisked Ai Hayasaka and the others away, leaving the two to speak in private.

"The Mage's Association has always been a nest of self-serving opportunists," Rin sneered, her arms crossed. "They've been eyeing the Greater Grail for ages, but this time, only Bazett was officially chosen by the Grail under their banner. Of course, they'd want to hedge their bets and secure an alternative."

"Zuiemon, as an outsider not affiliated with any faction, is the perfect candidate for recruitment," she continued, her tone heavy with disgust. "Naturally, they'd extend an olive branch."

The other Masters in this Holy Grail War were either tied to the Three Great Families or someone like Roy—a homunculus they despised.

The Mage's Association had no better option than Zuiemon.

Furthermore, Zuiemon's possession of Einzbern's homunculus technology hinted at prior connections with the Mage's Association. After all, the Association held a monopoly on such technology, even forbidding the Einzbern family from spreading it freely.

"Bang!"

Rin's fist slammed onto the table, her face seething with fury.

"No wonder my subordinates couldn't uncover anything on him, no matter how hard they tried! It was the Mage's Association covering his tracks!"

The mages under her command were few and far between, and even fewer were truly loyal to her. Some worked as double agents, while others were just opportunists.

It wouldn't be surprising if some of them had been involved in helping Zuiemon from the shadows—whether by sabotaging investigations, feigning incompetence, or outright feeding information to the Association.

This was Rin's greatest vulnerability. Despite being the city's mayor, her command over loyal subordinates was woefully limited.

At least now, Bazett had decided to join her ranks—a powerful combatant loyal only to Rin herself.

Of course, this newfound ally came with a cost. She owed Roy yet another favor.

The debt was piling so high that Rin was starting to feel numb about it.

---

"Rin."

Roy's voice interrupted her train of thought.

She looked up, seeing him adjust his glasses before casually removing them.

A sly, almost devilish grin spread across his face.

"Tonight," he said, his tone calm yet commanding.

"We strike."

His eyes gleamed with a menacing light.

"I'm going to destroy the Mage's Association."

---

Under the veil of night, heavy clouds smothered the sky, plunging the city into oppressive silence. The air was thick with unease, as if the entire metropolis had sunk into the depths of a suffocating abyss.

At the Mage's Association's Fuyuki City branch, a dimly lit guest room stood in eerie stillness.

"Stop… s-stop it…!"

A hoarse murmur broke the silence, the voice trembling with pain as if echoing from a nightmare.

On the bed lay an elderly man, his body wrapped in bloodstained bandages. He writhed in agony, his brow furrowed deeply as cold sweat poured from his face.

"Master, wake up!"

Jeanne, in her materialized form, gently shook him awake.

"Argh…!"

Zuiemon bolted upright, a guttural yell escaping his lips before he regained his senses.

"A nightmare… I haven't had one this vivid in centuries…"

He sat on the edge of the bed, his frail body trembling as he buried his face in his hands.

"Why… why am I the only one left alive… Amakusa-sama…"

Jeanne stood silently by his side, her expression conflicted.

As a Servant, she could feel the raw torment in his soul—a relentless storm of sorrow, anger, and regret that shredded his very being.

It was this deep-seated anguish that had corrupted her spirit and bound her to him in this twisted form.

---

"Lancer, how long are you going to keep holding back?"

Zuiemon's gravelly voice broke the silence, his eyes narrowing as he looked at Jeanne.

"You think I haven't noticed?" he said coldly. "You're a Servant bound by hatred and vengeance, yet you refuse to fight seriously. What are you hiding, Lancer?"

Jeanne opened her mouth, hesitating. Her knowledge of Zuiemon was limited to their few meetings over the past year, yet she knew one thing for certain—this man was relentless.

"Master, haven't you fought enough already?" she asked quietly, her tone tinged with sorrow.

For a moment, Zuiemon froze, but his expression quickly darkened.

"You dare lecture me?"

He shot to his feet, his frail body trembling with fury.

"Don't forget your place, Lancer! You're a Servant—my tool! All you need to do is obey my orders and fight. Spare me your sentimentality!"

Jeanne sighed silently, withdrawing into silence.

Everything had changed since the last Holy Grail War, and yet, nothing had changed at all.

Zuiemon remained shackled to his past, consumed by vengeance. Meanwhile, Roy…

Before she could dwell on it further, the ground beneath them trembled violently.

"Boom!"

A thunderous explosion shook the entire building.

"What's happening?!" Zuiemon cried, barely managing to steady himself as he stumbled.

"Master, it's an attack… and this presence…"

Jeanne's gaze pierced through the walls and earth, sensing the chaos above. Her expression turned solemn, laced with a hint of pity.

"Master Zuiemon, there's a Servant attacking. Please come to the surface immediately!"

A frantic voice echoed through the room via a summoned familiar.

"A Servant? Who?!"

"It's Saber—and her Master!"

"That traitor!!"

Zuiemon's frail body seemed to surge with energy as his eyes blazed with fury.

"Lancer!" he roared. "You will fight, whether you want to or not. This time, I'll kill that traitor once and for all!"
