A World Jumper

Chapter 28: Reaching the Portal

After successfully restoring Tron City from it's former chased state, Kevin Flynn bestowed joint leadership upon Barik, Tron, and Zuse. Tron bid farewell to his dear friend Kevin, expressing hope for a reunion in the future.

Meanwhile, Alexander, Gem, and Quorra also took their leave, bidding fond farewells to both Zuse and Barik as they embarked on their next journey to the Portal with Sam and Kevin.

As Alexander piloted the sleek light jet, Gem, Quorra, Kevin, and Sam gripped their seats in anticipation, as they soon soared over the tumultuous Sea of Simulation. Below them, the digital liquid churned and roared, its surface broken by jagged islands of code and towering boulders suspended by ethereal blue light-beams. The sky above crackled with energy, casting an otherworldly glow over the chaotic landscape.

They finally saw the portal in the horizon, casting a fiery glow over the Sea of Simulation.

As they approached the portal, a sense of anticipation hung in the air.

They were gazing in awe at the towering structure before them. The Portal rose majestically from the rocky pinnacle, it is a complex and intricate structure. It has multiple elongated arms that extend outward like wings from the central core of The Portal, each adorned with intricate designs and patterns that glow with a bright blue light.

A powerful beam of intense blue light extends vertically upwards into the sky from the center of The Portal. - The surrounding environment is dark and filled with clouds

"Wow," Sam breathed, his eyes wide with wonder. "I can't believe we're actually here."

"It's even more incredible than I imagined," Gem added, her voice tinged with excitement.

Quorra's gaze lingered on the structure, a sense of reverence washing over her. "I am finally going to see, what Flynn's world looks like," she murmured.

Kevin, standing beside them, felt a surge of nostalgia mingled with anticipation. "We are going home," he reminded them, his tone firm but tinged with a hint of excitement.

Alexander's hands moved with precision as he expertly guided the jet towards their destination. A small landing strip provides an approach to the site.

Upon landing the wings of the aircraft gracefully folded as it descended, the hum of its engines.

With a nod of agreement, the group began to make their way toward the Portal. The small landing strip provided a clear path, guiding them toward dark, mysterious tunnel or pathway leading towards a bright light source, giving an impression of a portal. - The ground is made up of irregularly shaped stones and rocks with cracks in between them. - A bright blue light emanates from the cracks in the ground and illuminates part of the pathway. - The walls are rocky and rugged with visible textures; they appear to be made of stone as well. - There are stairs in the middle of the path leading upwards towards the bright light source at the end of this tunnel-like structure. - Beams of light penetrate through openings or cracks in the walls, adding to the mystical atmosphere.

As they ascended the ancient stairway, their breaths quickened with anticipation. With each step, the air crackled with energy and a hum, and a sense of foreboding gripped their hearts. At last, they emerged onto the narrow causeway, a pathway that seemed to stretch endlessly into the heart of the Portal.

In the center of the portal, a circular platform stood as a beacon amidst the swirling chaos.

As they approached the circular platform at the heart of the Portal, their eyes were drawn to the mesmerizing sight before them. The beam of light that shot upwards, it was not just a solid column; it pulsed with life, its brilliance fluctuating in rhythm with the beat of their hearts. Within the radiant beam, concentric circles of pure white light shimmered, their ethereal glow casting a spellbinding aura over the entire chamber.

With each pulsation, the circles expanded and contracted, as if breathing with a life of their own. The effect was hypnotic, drawing them closer with an irresistible pull. As they stood in the center of the chamber, bathed in the pulsating light, they felt a sense of awe and wonder wash over them.

Without hesitation, they pressed forward.

As they stepped into the pulsating beam of light, a sensation of warmth and energy washed over them, enveloping their bodies in a comforting embrace. They felt as if they were being carried on a wave of pure light, transcending the boundaries of space and time.

With Kevin at the forefront, his hand clutching his disk with determination, they watched in awe as he raised it towards the heavens and muttered,"Take me back home, my friend."

As the disk glowed with a soft, pulsating light, matching the rhythm of the beam that surrounded them. As it ascended into the sky, carried by an unseen force, the beam of light surged upwards with newfound intensity, reaching towards the stars with a fiery determination.

And then, in an instant, everything changed. The world around them seemed to blur and distort, reality bending and shifting as they were engulfed by the brilliance of the light. Colors swirled and danced before their eyes, and a sense of weightlessness overtook them as they were transported back to the real world.

As they opened their eyes, Gem, Quorra and Alexanded found them place to unknown.

While Sam found himselves standing on familiar space.

As Kevin's eyes adjusted to the dim light of the hidden basement room, a wave of nostalgia washed over him. The cluttered space, with its outdated technology and dusty corners, held memories of a bygone era. Yet, amidst the chaos, there lay a hidden treasure trove of secrets.

In the center of the room stood the main workstation, a relic from 1983 that still hummed with life. ENCOM servers, weathered by time but still functional, linked to a sophisticated touch screen desktop, their blinking lights a testament to their enduring legacy.

Kevin teared up and muttered"I am back home."

They exchanged knowing glances.
