Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Evening
"Fiuh... It seems this is all I can do today," Reiji said, looking at his hands with a sense of gratitude.
"Now, it's time to start the real Chakra control training," Reiji said with a small smile, full of anticipation. "Let's try with leaf training!"
With steady steps, Reiji walked out of the house, but was suddenly startled to see the sky turning orange.
"Is it already evening? I really lost track of time, it has passed so long!" Reiji smiled awkwardly.
The thirst for power had led Reiji to immerse himself in training without regard for time.
But Reiji knew that this long training was the first step toward a deeper understanding of Chakra, an important foundation before he ventured into more complex realms of knowledge.
Reiji recalled all the types of Jutsu he had seen in Fandom: Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, Bukijutsu, Kinjutsu, Fuinjutsu, Senjutsu.
Some were the most common and easy to learn, while others were rare and very difficult to master.
Fuinjutsu was one of the arts that required high Chakra control.
Therefore, before diving into the complicated lessons of Fuinjutsu, Reiji had to truly understand the basics of Chakra control.
Reiji's first step was a simple yet challenging exercise: sticking a leaf to his forehead.
Although it seemed easy, this exercise demanded high concentration.
"Alright, starting with one leaf... and then... add another..." Reiji murmured, recalling the stages of training that could become increasingly challenging: from sticking a leaf to walking on walls.
A leaf was placed by Reiji right on his forehead.
Then Reiji immediately closed his eyes, calmed his breath, and slowly channeled Chakra to the point where the leaf was.
For a moment, the leaf stayed in place, then fell.
However, Reiji did not give up.
After several attempts to stick the leaf to his forehead, Reiji noticed the sun was almost setting on the horizon.
The beauty of the crimson evening sky made Reiji realize how long he had been immersed in training.
Reiji decided to take a break and freshen up.
After showering, Reiji began searching for ingredients for dinner, hoping to find something more filling than just instant ramen.
However, after carefully checking the kitchen, Reiji only found a few Cup Ramen.
A sad smile crept onto Reiji's face as he realized that this simple food might be the daily routine of the previous owner of this body.
While waiting for the water to boil, Reiji's thoughts began to drift to the figure of the previous owner of the body.
Not a single memory remained; it was as if the existence of the previous owner was completely empty and erased.
'Could it be that the child lost their memory before dying? Or was the child's life so lonely that there were no meaningful memories to recall?' That question made Reiji's heart ache a little.
Reiji imagined what it would be like if this life was indeed lived entirely in silence, in a lonely house far from family or close friends.
As the ramen cooked, Reiji sat at the table, staring at the ramen in front of him with a sense of wonder. 'Is this how the previous owner of this body lived? Spending day after day alone, eating instant noodles while staring at the same silence every night?'
Reiji slowly ate the ramen, reflecting on how fortunate he was in his previous life, which was full of memories—both good and bad.
Now, this house contained only Reiji himself.
After eating, Reiji carefully examined the contents of the house, trying to find other signs of the previous owner's life.
But there was nothing.
All the rooms were quiet and clean, almost devoid of any traces of life.
The only thing Reiji found was an old photo in which only Reiji was present, the photo came from a dusty drawer.
Carefully, Reiji pondered that perhaps the owner of this body was an orphan and lived without guidance or support from anyone.
