Marin Kitagawa
[3rd POV]
[Marin : IMG]
Inside a room, a blonde hair girl was looking at herself in the mirror with great scrutiny.
She was careful and extremely focused as she checked out every inch of herself and how the dress she had on, fit on her body.
It seemed as though she was dressing up to meet the god almighty himself considering how careful she was.
..
"No!!! This is just not it." Marin whined as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.
She was wearing a beautiful white dress which made her look oddly elegant. It was not how she usually dress.
Don't get it wrong though, she looked extremely good in the dress.
Which was also exactly why she couldn't wear it. It looked too good.
"If I go like this then it would be totally obvious that I dressed up and try to look good." Marin grumbled as she flopped down on her bed.
There were also many other clothes and dresses on the bed, hinting that this was not the first dress or clothes that she had put on.
"Gahhhh!!" She swung her limbs around in frustration before she covered her face and rolled around on her bad.
"Why am I trying so hard anyways? What did that guy do to me!!" She said while a blush began creeping on her face.
Yes, she was embarrassed with how she was acting and how she was feeling.
She looked around and noticed how her whole room was a mess. Different clothes and shoes were sprawled here and there.
She also noticed how she smelled like vanilla and also how all the clothes around her room were black and white.
How are these minor details important? One might ask.
But the answer was quite simple.
..
..
..
Fujita liked the smell of vanilla and he said his favorite colour was black and white.
..
Marin freaked out when she realised this and she sat up on her bed with a pillow in her arms. She pressed her face in the pillow in a mixture of embarrassment and bashfulness.
"UMMMMMMM!!" she screamed in her pillow.
What has happened to her?! She didn't like vanilla nor did she like black and white.
Heck she was a model!! She never had much trouble picking a dress.
Yet...
Yet..
Why is this happening to her?
To her question, the answer appeared in her mind in the form of an image. An image of a purple haired boy who sat ever so still in the backmost corner of a classroom.
But when did he matter this much?
The moment they met, Marin was very interested in him because he shared similar interest with her.
So she began talking to him, her friends always encouraging her also helped but had she known that she would end up like this, she would've run away the moment she met him.
She didn't like how she was feeling at all!! It was needy, jealous and for some reason, it was also really addicting.
She felt funny in her gut. And it didn't disappear when she went to the loo.
She remembered it all started small. From a very small crush which she entertained due to it being so harmless.
I mean, what girl does not have a crush on the purple prince of Itan? There was even a fan club for him so it was acceptable if she also had a small crush on him.
It was suppose to be just a simple crush.
He was very attractive, she admitted. Even though she didn't really care about appearances as it felt superficial to her.
What always attracted her to Fujita was his earnest character and his honesty.
He was hardworking and earnest. She learned this about him when he was competing in the Championship. Those passionate and determined - almost crazy - eyes attracted her very much.
He was also so true to himself.
Wherever he was, whoever he was with, he was always unapologetically himself.
She liked that.
God she really liked that.
BUT STILL!!!
She was not suppose to fall like this. Marin Kitagawa was not someone who would simply fall for a guy like this. She always thought the guy would at least need to save her from life threatening danger to make her fall like this.
But that guy, Fujita Yuito, sneaked in her heart when she put her guard down.
"That slimy bastard." Marin mumbled as she pulled her knees to her face and nestled her head on it.
He was not even realizing what he had done to her.
She knew that she can't fault him since she folded to him WAY too easily. A guy naturally wouldn't expect the girl he had been good friends with for only around 2 months to have feelings for him, right?
Now that she thought about it that way, she became extremely embarrassed again.
Was she really that easy?
'Am I?'
She always thought that she was a strong girl in this type of things. She was always in control with how she feels.
So why?
"This is not fair at all." she said, tearing up a little.
She felt stupid.
She felt so stupid that she was trying this hard. Because she didn't even know what she was trying to achieve.
Make him stunned when he see her? Earn a few praises from him? Steal his gaze for a couple of seconds?
Okay..
Why did that sound like good reasons to her?
"I am not even sure if he has a girlfriend." she said. She had asked her friends about Fujita and her friends were more than happy to inform her...
That there was indeed a girl.
Tsukimi Chifuyu. Marin had seen a picture of her and also a picture of him and the girl.
And she had to admit that the girl was extremely attractive, easily surpassing her depending on the perspective.
The girl had am insanely sexy body for her age, and Marin was sure that a teenager like Fujita will lean more towards that body type instead of a model body like hers.
The current relationship between them was unknown, her friends had told her.
The girl Tsukimi had gone abroad for her studies and no one knew the relationship status between her and Fujita.
When she asked the fan club of Fujita, they speculated that Tsukimi and Fujita still had a long distance relationship,
Marin Kitagawa was a girl who always wished the best for others, but this time?
She really hoped something bad happened between them and they had broken up.
"Why am I so invested in this?" Marin asked herself. After all, it would have been much easier if she directly asked Fujita himself.
..but then that would make him suspect that she liked him or something.
Marin immediately wondered why she was worried about that, after all, wasn't she the one who always preached to others, to be honest and be true to themselves?
"I don't know anymore." Marin declared.
She pushed away all those thoughts away and just focused on what to wear since she would be going to his house.
After a few short hours, she finally managed to pick out good clothes. A black shirt that showed good amount of skin without looking slutty and a tight jeans which she wore with every intention of showing off her curves but it was not tight enough that she would be called out for it.
But most importantly, her clothes were something she looked good on, without revealing that she was trying to look good.
She looked at herself in the mirror and she was satisfied.
Although...
"This is annoying." She said as she grabbed the strands of hair which was too long and hid a portion of her face.
She got out a scissor and cut off that small amount of hair and looked at the mirror again.
Seeing that her hair was framing her face perfectly, she smiled. She checked herself from top to bottom, making sure she looked flawless.
The reason why she was doing all this was because of the new girl - Shouko Komi - who sat beside him. She had heard rumors that they were getting very close to each other.
And Marin was going to make sure that she was not getting replaced in her girl-friend status. She knew how beautiful Komi was, so she needed to up her game.
"Yosh!!" she hyped herself. She also made sure that she was wearing a nice pair of underwear which were new and matching.
What? Something might happen, who knows. Let the girl dream.
She then went out of her room. Ready to meet him.
.
.
.
.
.
She came back a 30 minutes later because she forgot to bring the main reason she was going to his house. Sure, just seeing his face was enough for her to visit him but he didn't know that.
So she needed some kind of excuse and reason to visit him.
After she took that, she finally left.
This time for real.
..
..
..
Or she might have checked herself again for a couple of times before really and finally leaving her house.
Love was a weird thing.
