A Failure's hopeful Journey

While Victoria was busy admiring the Wrath Squad. Amino Albus was being led by Maddison Midnight, Issac, and Gena. The four people moved very quickly. Animo was surprised by the number of arrays all over the edge of the spirit dome. 

She spoke, "How many armies were you guys facing? So many arrays?"

Gena replied, "Elder, the squad leader was paranoid that something unexpected might happen so he had all the things prepped in advance."

Animo shook her head and said, "Too much paranoia, I guess."

Issac spoke, "Elder, there were at least a million zombies. All capable of competing with a peak primal soul realm cultivator. We all were just early-stage ones. This much preparation was necessary for the safety of the squad and the others on the epoch base. We barely managed to get through." his words were all based on facts.

Animo did not expect the situation to be this dire. Maddison asked, "How did you gauge the fighting ability of those zombies?"

Issac replied, "Neo was scouting one time and he wanted to know how capable is the enemy. His physique is as strong as a mid-level Primal soul. Still, he had to take Marks's hand to capture one zombie. I hope you know how good of a fighter Neo is. None can match him except for You Xi Wang." 

Maddison nodded in affirmation, she knew how big of a freaks these five students of hers were. While the four were laying down a purification array. You Xi Wang was healing his hands in silence. The system was quite efficient at dealing with such situations. The recovery rate has shot up and You Xi Wang could now at least gained some senses in his hands. 

The neurons were all healing and at this moment the system spoke, [Get ready, the purification barrier will start and you will need to go inside the barrier on your own. Your control is not good enough for a five kilometer long soul communication while trying to dispell the darkness in her heart as well.]

You Xi Wang agreed to this.

Two hours passed and You Xi Wang stood next to Yuki. He said, "I will be going inside to talk to that senior. Do not worry, I will be fine."

Yuki sighed and said, "Can you stop asking me to do something that is not possible? How can I be at ease when you deal with danger at such a close range? Also, you better come back soon, there are things you need to know. It is very important. Get it?" her tone was stern. As if a mother guiding a child.

The boy nodded as he heard her command. He was also very reluctant to go inside and play with his life but what else could he do? Someone had to take the risk, so why not him? Animo Albus returned. You Xi Wang walked over to her.

She said, "The array will start when you want. Tell me what is the next plan?"

You Xi Wang sighed and bit another bullet, "Soul communication with her. To awaken the sleeping soul and also purify the darkness in her body."

Animo Albus scolded, "Are you crazy? Do you know what that means? You will have to enter her soul sea. Even if you practise the soul cultivation you will be extremely vulnerable. Do you want to die so badly?"

You Xi Wang shook his head and said, "IF you do not face the darkness, it overwhelms you. One needs to go inside the dark room to lit up a lamp. This is the same. Do not worry, nothing will happen to me." with that said he started walking towards the spirit dome. 

Animo Albus said, "I will tell Zhichi about this." her voice was ice cold.

The boy chuckled, "My sister may cry, she may be angry at me. But she will be proud that I did this for a greater cause. She is my sister. She is YOU ZHICHI. Do not underestimate the resolve of your disciple master aunt. She is even more stubborn then me or you combined." he made a symbol with his fingers and opened a gateway in the spirit dome. 

After walking in he closed the gateway, and started walking towards lilian. Animo Albus could only grit her teeth and start the purification array. She scowled, "Everyone get back five meters, you are not to enter the array now."

The array would purify the spirit energy. It was as if a disinfectant against the dark energy. Anybody inside this array until they know how to get by will be weakened by just standing near the array circle, let alone being inside. You Xi Wang was a grade seven array master. He may not be able to deploy an array but his knowledge was enough to find his way to Lilian without being weakened.

The zombies inside the array all started wailing and Lilian too. Her dark form was being attack from both inside and the outside. You Xi Wang asked the system, 'How close do I need to be?'

The system replied, [1 kilometer.]

You Xi Wang nodded and sped up his steps. Quickly he reached the distance system told him. From this place he could use his primary soul to communicate with Lilian. The reason for this was that the system was someone very bad at expressing emotions and console people. While You Xi Wang's primary soul was heaven made for this sort of task. 

He sat down on the ground and his soul travelled to the roaring Lilian using the same method as the system did.

Inside her soul sea, the scene was as if a light at the end of a tunnel. You Xi Wang did not wait and started moving towards the light. His speed was as if a sports car was driving across the track. As he got closer to the light he saw that the shape of the blob of light was getting clearer. 

It was as if Lilian herself was sitting inside. You Xi Wang stopped at a distance from her soul and spoke, "Are you angry that you could not save the people with you? Are you angry that you had to leave your family?"
