A Demon King Through The Worlds

Chapter 20: Chapter 20: Training

"In not long, I will go to another world" said Lucian, surprising everyone.

"What?! Another world? Are there other worlds?" Mitsuri, who is the most lively among the four, immediately sent a barrage of questions.

"Yes, there are many worlds, more than can be counted. I say this so you can prepare for the trip" replied Lucian, his expression calm even though he was talking about such an explosive fact.

"And one of the reasons I was so hasty was because I was leaving soon," he said, justifying the speed at which he obtained new wives.

If he hadn't gone quickly only Nakime and Daki would have followed him on this trip.

Even if Nakime wasn't one of his wives yet, she would be in the future.

And Daki, and if she was anxious, why should he prolong things?

Although he had hurried a little because he would soon leave, it is undeniable that he did not want to waste time.

The sooner they get together, the more time they would spend having se... loving each other.

"We will leave after i destroy the Demon Slayer Corps. Kie, I want you to prepare your children, Mitsuri, talk to your parents to see what they think." Lucian continued.

Of course Lucian couldn't leave his cute children behind, and he had to think at least a little about his in-laws.

"I understand, I will talk to them" said Kie, leaving the infinity castle.

"... But what if my parents don't accept it?" asked Mitsuri, hesitation visible from her, she couldn't bear not seeing her parents ever again.

However, remembering them, she knew that they had no desire for immortality and power. And knowing that they would grow old, she wanted to accompany them until the last moment.

"Tell them that they can live more comfortably in another world, and if they still don't accept, then I can just leave an appointment to return."

Mitsuri then nodded, before being teleported out of the castle by Nakime.

"Shall we continue training?" Lucian then suggested it to Shinobu.

"Come on, I'm looking forward to this mark!" she replied, still wearing her signature smile.

"Daki, do you want to watch?"

"Of course!" replied Daki, excited by the idea of seeing Lucian in a sword fight.

Lucian had not yet turned Shinobu into a demon to test whether only those who were still human could awaken the mark.

If so he could just think of some other method.

His greed for her was understandable, the ability to exchange life expectancy for power would perhaps be unpleasant for humans, but demons have immortality, and therefore can live well beyond twenty-five years.

"Kokushibo, we will resume training" Lucian smiled at Kokushibo, who had appeared in front of him.

'The infinite castle is really convenient.

"Right!" replied Kokushibo, drawing his sword, his fighting spirit seemed to have been awakened.

It had been a long time since he had fought such a strong opponent.

Reaching the peak is good, but not so much for those who have a burning desire for fights.

And Kokushibo as the dedicated swordsman that he is, even though he wasn't obsessed with battle, he still desired opponents of equal strength.

Because only by fighting stronger opponents could he continue to improve himself.

"Going to other worlds we will meet several powerful opponents, so soon you will be able to fight hard" said Lucian, encouraging Kokushibo.

"Yes!" he exclaimed, before his six eyes became calm and cold like a lake in Antarctica: "Just as you asked, I will go with all my might."

"It couldn't be any different" Lucian said laughing, before quickly dodging by bending his body backwards, the blade of Kokushibo's katana passing just above his face.

He then used his own katana to deflect Kokushibo's, and then straightened up.

"Your senses and reflexes are as sharp as I thought they would be" praised Kokushibo, before also adjusting his posture.

"Naturally, but you know you'll come to Shinobu first, right?" smiled Lucian.

This was his plan. He didn't know if simply having over two hundred heartbeats per second and a temperature of thirty-nine degrees Celsius would be enough to activate the mark.

Or whether intense stimulation would also be necessary, or even a death threat.

So first they would try to awaken Shinobu's mark, the one that was most susceptible to being stimulated, and after she obtained the mark, it would be much easier for him to activate.

Whether because of the greater resonance, or the increase in the number of opponents.

And following his words Kokushibo attacked Shinobu, who was always on guard.

Kokushibo began his offensive with a heavy diagonal strike, which Shinobu blocked, of course he wanted her to block.

The impact on her hands was almost enough to dislocate her wrists.

'He's fast' she thought in surprise, this fight had already started badly for her, her sword wasn't used to block attacks, but she was forced to use it to block.

In addition, Kokushibo's physical strength was much greater.

Quickly composing herself, Shinobu jumped back before beginning to move at incredible speeds, making several thrusts towards Kokushibo.

Unfortunately for her, most of these attacks missed him.

"This speed and the use of poison... even though you have a limited physique, you still have high skill and dexterity for assassination" praised Kokushibo, this being his habit, praising those who have good skills.

Even more so when seeing someone who could reach such a level in Shinobu's conditions.

"Thanks!" she said, bending down and stabbing him in the ribs.

Unfortunately, her opponent is Kokushibo.

He blocked the thrust with his sword, before kicking her away and without giving her time to breathe, he fired a chaotic torrent of moons.

They flew from above, below, left and right, all towards Shinobu.

I must say that Kokushibo's combat style is perfect for what they were trying to do, this frantic barrage of attacks being something highly stimulating.

Seeing these attacks that almost blocked all her escape routes, Shinobu pondered for just a millisecond before putting all her strength into her legs and leaping above the frantic moons.

And again, unfortunately for her, Kokushibo is not one to waste opportunities, and quickly lunges in a vertical slash, going from bottom to top, at her.
