Chapter 24: A scorching Fire
Why is Khorne feared so much? Is it because he is strong? Because of those that follow him? No! He is feared because of what he stands for! A being…No! A God, whose very existence represents war itself! He embodied everything we humans ever lusted after in our justification, for claiming what each other possesses!
Lost in anger and embedded with the butcher's nails, Angron hated his 'father' for letting his people die on Nuceria. Left out and forgotten, just like his upbringing, only filled Angron with hate and bloodlust, that neither Khorne could satiate. A brother who joined hands with a traitorous son, with little more than a nod!
Now, nothing more than a prince of daemons, Angron awaits in his Gods' throne! By blood and bones… by horrors in which the imperium kills daily in their pursuit… to watch as bloodletters and flesh hound, along with their pyskers master, walked into portals, to start wars or to finish them! There, by the portal made of twisted blood, Angron felt a familiar pull… with eyes of burning blood, Angron looked into a world so young, yet filled with a power he hated!
But as his eyes centered onto the world, the orcs and their war bosses, came in their waaagh! For the drums of war never stop in the world of Khorne!

As the twisted morning sunbathed the world anew, the gargoyles flew around the train port in a circle of vultures! Hungry and starving, they could feel life was inside like canned food! But with the earth shaking and vibrating, the forest trees bending and burning, as fire came from below!
They could hear the horrors from underground as the earth began to bulge! When a demon filled with anger burns away the sons of Nurgle, who still lay asleep in their dreams… drowned in an atmosphere of blood lust, the girls who were awake, looked at each other with fear and uncertainty as Layla said through quivering brow:
{Shit! Please tell me who grab an energy cell, Molly!}
But with shaking heads and empty hands, and a past-out Mary, they neither have power nor a cell!
[relax, my cuties! I have some stored away within me! After all, I have to keep some snacks for myself!] interrupted Miss A, as a cell appeared from a vortex made in Layla's eye.
[you actually kept some?] Question Molly
[Of course… my dear, I didn't just use my feminine charms to trick those fools who watch over me for nothing!] replied Miss A with pride.
[you fooled them? How? Weren't they trained to resist mental attacks?] replied Molly
[OH honey… egg head men with little social skills, are as easy to fool as a pet dog! Especially so when they haven't seen another woman in dozens of years...Hehe! They truly took their work way too seriously.] replied Miss A with an unpleasant smile
{really? It only took your feminine charms? I find that hard to believe!} said Layla
[sigh. Fine… it could have also... Maybe… have been... The fact that they didn't really know what I was! All they knew was that I could absorb energy, so when their world was turning into a disease nightmare, they may have tried to use me… to well… slow down the spread… anyway isn't there something more important happening right now?] replied Miss A, a little bit annoyed
Agreeing with Miss A, Layla said:
{Molly, I will place the cell, but I will need you to cover for me again like we did a few nights ago. Do remember, seeing any weapon in the second cart that can cover a large area?}
[umm… I remember seeing a heavy bolter, but I can't lift it with this training suit…But maybe I could use it like a placement turret to somewhat help. Can't we use the turret that is on the train?] replied Molly
{we can, but that's only after I insert the battery. Until then, I will be relying on you!} replied Layla
["cough" children… umm... Did you forget about me? I can help to you know!] said Miss A annoyed
{but don't you require my brain juice? Won't it knock me out again?} asked Layla.
[umm… no, with my control, you shouldn't have that problem anymore, unless we really have to dig deep. However, without proper training, I don't know what you can do. I can only interpret what you're trying to do and help it along. Think of me as another control switch. One in which we will have to practice at some point. If you get my meaning…] replied Miss A
{so... What you're saying is, If I feel like I want to make a shield around my body. You can do it?} replied Layla
[yes, but if you already knew how to make one, I would only simply need to move and control the energy, instead of having to do it for you, in other words, it'll be a lot faster once you've mastered the ability yourself.] replied Miss A
{...I think I get what you are trying to say… but still, until I either find myself a grimoire from the Thousand Sons or a master, going with feeling is just going to have to work! But wait, can't you teach me?} replied Layla
[sorry, but I can't…] replied Miss A while shaking her head.
[Our species hated psykers, so we or I didn't care much to learn their ways. I simply killed them.] continued, Miss A
A little disheartened but with a willful attitude, Layla focused her mind on the shape of a shield of pure gold! With Miss A interpreting, the energy that normally ran abundantly in a frenzy matter calmed to that of a sizzling shield that resembled the sun!
As that sun left the cart with a deep breath, the flower that hid within looked at its twin and smiled as she left for the second cart! With doors opened, and a glaring sun, the gargoyles could not help but see the light! And with a drawing nature, they race to it in a frenzy passion!
But as they twisted and turned in the air, like bats fleeing a cave. The second cart opened to a heavy gun, with heavy bullets! With shot after shot, blood splattered like rain, while the train moved on the earth like it was a sinking ship in battered waves!
With shaking ground, Layla rushed to place the cell into the engine slot, while the blood pelleted her sunrise, to the tone of claws scraping the outside of her barrier, that melted flesh and bone! That tore gore from the gargoyles! But with more flesh than light from her shield, it begins to set before the monsters!
With dimness and solitude, Layla succeeded! But when the engine roared to life, a claw from a bug reached her back! With a scream, she turned to see a tunnel of blades! But as that tunnel of blades reached her, the ground exploded with a fire so thick, it roasted all the gargoyles into a frenzied scream!
As burned bats slammed against the train, dead or alive. While other bats turned to circle back around. Only to be shot down by gunfire, but not just by Molly! But by the train!
[but how?] Question Layla as her back was made safe by the firing of the train.
A question to whom she received the answer the moment she opened the door to the train. To her surprise, the answer was simple, For Mary had woken up and begun her work! However, as the two looked at each other in an awkward gaze, now was not the time for sentiments!
With the clicking of the keys, and a train system restored, Mary screamed:
[close the damn door!]
{Mary…} replied Layla
[save it for later! Right now, just take over for me! I need to get this train going!] replied Mary in a rush
Not wanting to waste time, Layla quickly grabbed the controls for the turret to perform its duties manually, for reasons Layla could only describe as saving on energy cost. As the train puffed and spurned, the gargoyles didn't give up! They slammed and clawed through the bullets and fire!
They cared not for their lives, as they single-mindedly swarmed the train! To the point where they even threatened to derail it! But with weakened ground and a hound with fresh teeth and claws that burned in pure scorn, made its way to the surface!
With ire-filled eyes and a soul drowned with resentment, but with a mind complacent in duty, the flesh hound looked at the gargoyles, and like his fellow champion Ka 'Bandha, the hound swore to his god, that none shall kill this prey that smells of divinity but him!
While a jungle scorched in burning heat, the hound was a lavish meal in the eyes of the bats. And with divided attention, the girls saw some reprieve from the onslaught! As more bloodletters climbed out of a molten hole and onto the train to help in the killing! But what was truly shocking to Layla, was when she saw through the barrel of the gun… A psyker all dressed in red, as it tamed lighting as blood!
Fluid in its motion, it snaked around in the air as if alive! While it coiled around its prey like a vicious viper! But even with thunderous crackling energy, there were just far too many! For even now, the ground thundered and turned, as many footsteps made by tyranids of all kinds came running in for the fun!
With charcoal trees and ashy floors, with dust and fog twisting the air, a train port collapsing under itself! Came out what remained of the sons of Nurgle! While a train pushed through the impossible, hot bullet plasma came from invisible ships that guarded the train!
With pure pandemonium, the fate weaver smiled at his choice, while a chorus of singing birds laughed at the sight! Wanting in on the fun, he charges his Primaris to open a door! With black wings that stretched out for miles, the shadow of the fate weaver blessed the train!
[sorry brothers, but I can't let you have her! Her fate is an interesting one, that may fill this game of ours with life! I'm so tired of the certainty of winning it, that I crave the possibility of losing it!] chirped the fate weaver as twisted warp energy coated the train!
And as that train fled with fire and coated with the gift of fates, the wheels of the train never felt more secure on the rails, while the machine spirit never felt such vigor in its long life! As Miss A felt the strange energy of the warp, she placed a coating of herself over Layla!
For, she feared that Layla's flavor may be contaminated, by the disgust that is the warp! A thought which drove her mad with rage! Her inner rage was only drowned out by Molly's continuing efforts to empty cartridge after cartridge of bolter rounds like they were water!
While blood steamed like a runaway train, the scorching ash devoured the corpses left behind! While the sons of Nurgle tried to overtake the train, only to be stopped by Eldar machines! As tyranids met their end as seared flesh! While their hive master battled minds with a psyker of Khorne!
All for the amusement of laughing ravens, while a bloody rose looked over a monitor in worry!
[Mam… are you sure about this…] asked a random member
[Yes… though it pains me… this is as it should be… is that right…Gilded Guardian] replied Danicia
[...for the sake of time… this must be… do not worry Danicia... Your sister is vital to the future of the Imperium!] replied the gilded Guardian
[she is… but not her world… I am I right…] replied Danicia
[ worlds... Come and go when it is their time… she will understand this! You have my word!] replied the Guardian
[your word? What about the Inquisition? What of them?] asked Danica
[their fate is already decided! Their death foretold since ages past! Just like the Eldar have their far seers, we have our ways!] replied the Guardian as he left the room
