Chapter 4: The Village (2)
Chapter : 4; The village (2)
"System, summon all the elite guards stationed just outside the village and have them come here now," Ayush commanded, his voice firm and unyielding.
He wasn't going to let this continue. Not on his watch. The time for watching from the sidelines was over. He was going to take action. And this was also opportunity for ayush to convinve the villagers.
As for how he would explain things to his mother and others, he had already thought of that.
"Ding."
"Summoning all the elite guards for the host. They are all placed outside of the village. Does the host want them to come here?" the System asked Ayush.
"Yes," he replied.
The place where the villagers were.
The scar-faced man, who was just about to kick the old man, suddenly noticed Ayush.
"Hey… what a good horse. Looks like it has been well cared for!" he said loudly, even Ayush was able to hear him from that far. Indeed, Ayush knew that his horse was from the best breed in the royal family, but it wasn't a good idea to start a conversation like this.
Ayush was confused for a moment and unable to react, then he suddenly heard:
"Hey… little boy, give up this horse and the gold coin you have, or else you won't be able to leave here safely today." The scar-faced man approached, followed by three other men, as they seemed ready to snatch the horse from Ayush.
"What if I don't?" Ayush replied.
"Haha… haha… if you don't give up this horse, you'll meet Yamraj (the god of death in Hinduism)." The scar-faced man said confidently.
Looking at the confidence of the scar-faced man, Ayush was momentarily stunned. He couldn't help but wonder if this guy truly didn't understand or if he hadn't seen much of the world. Regardless, this man would definitely die today, but before that, Ayush had to reap the benefits of the fisherman.
Ayush glanced at him, then he turned to the villagers and said loudly:
"I can free you all from this guy. Do you want that or not?"
What…? All the villagers looked at Ayush like fools, but they started whispering secretly among themselves.
Seeing this, the scar-faced man was amused. He laughed arrogantly at Ayush and yelled:
"Haha… little boy, you want them to obtain freedom? Ask them if they have the guts. Do you really think you can give them freedom and just let them leave like this?"
Ayush glanced at them. After what the scar-faced man had said, everyone lowered their heads, and none of them dared to make eye contact with Ayush, as they feared that man.
Seeing this, Ayush felt truly disappointed in them. He then understood why they had been defeated by the Mughals, later colonized by the British, and even after 75 years of independence, they had made little progress.
First of all, they lacked unity. And secondly, they always thought only about themselves. They never thought about the well-being of the entire community.
Just as Ayush was about to give up, the old man who had been beaten by the scar-faced man slowly got up and yelled:
"Sir, I am willing to surrender to you, and I am ready to accept any condition you have. But please, help us get rid of this man!"
Bang…!
As the old man spoke, he was kicked again by the followers of the scar faced man, from the back.
The scar-faced man looked at Ayush and asked:
"Little one, even if you talk about giving them freedom, do you think you can do this alone?"
"Hehe… you don't have to worry about that, whether I am alone or have followers," Ayush said. As he spoke, the sound of many footsteps began to echo from behind.
"Look behind yourself and tell me, who are they?" Ayush smiled casually and told the scar-faced man.
The scar-faced man turned around and saw an army of over 50 people marching in line. They appeared to be well-trained. As he looked at them, one person, covered in dark armor and followed by many others, approached from his direction. An absurd thought crossed his mind. Although he didn't want to believe it, he couldn't deny that they seemed to be the people of the boy in front of him.
The man in dark armor knelt down and said, "On the order of your Highness." After he knelt, the remaining 99 men followed suit.
"Hmmm… get up," Ayush ordered them.
They all get up, and cam behind Ayush.
The scar-faced man looked as though he had seen a ghost with his own eyes and couldn't help but ask trembling, "Who are you?"
"Well… shouldn't you ask Yamraj? Why are you asking me? I also want to know how Lord Yamraj looks from your perspective," Ayush joked.
"This…!" The scar-faced man didn't have an answer, so he lowered his head and started to think about something.
Ignoring the man, Ayush looked at the villagers and asked again, "I can kill this man, but in return, I want your surrender and your loyalty. Are you willing?"
"After killing this man, you can take the revenge that you have suffered for years."
Seeing this, still no one spoke up. Ayush threw out his last card.
"I have no personal enmity with this man. I will let him go. After all, he has made a mistake, but mistakes are made by humans, after all."
The moment Ayush spoke, the villagers started to raise their heads and said: "Your Highness, please kill these men. We are willing to surrender, but we have a single condition: we can't be forced, like these men, to harm our sisters, wives, mothers, or others." A man in his fifties came out, knelt down, and said to Ayush.
"Yes… Your Highness," the man said. As he did, almost all the villagers started to kneel and looked at Ayush, hoping that this would be true.
"Look… they all want you dead, and I cannot refuse their request. So tell me, what should I do?" Finally, Ayush dismounted the horse and came in front of the scar-faced man, asking simply, as if he were the master of playing with life.
"Your Highness… please let us go…!" The scar-faced man begged, and he knew he had no chance to live.
"Ohh… let you go? This will be very difficult for me."
As Ayush was preparing to speak, there was a sudden movement from the scar-faced man. He leapt to his feet, drew a dagger from behind his leg, and lunged at Ayush's chest.
To any other man, he would not have deflected the warning in time before it was too late. But Ayush was no ordinary man. With unthinkable swiftness, Ayush caught the man's extended wrist just before the dagger could strike him, mere centimeters away from his chest, on one hand. The scar-faced man twisted and twisted in his grip.
Without hesitating, Ayush jerked the man's wrist hard, and the dagger was knocked from his grasp and landed on the ground with a thud.
Before the man could regain his footing, Ayush forced him backwards and he staggered several steps towards his right.
Bathed in sweat, the scarred man found himself struggling to recover balance as the next instant, Ayush mustered great strength and delivered a rapid kick to his lower body. The man fell to the floor.
Looking at the man, Ayush knew that the man would definitely attack him, so he was already prepared. With the help of the Physique Evolution Potion, his physical strength had reached an incredibly high level, and these men couldn't do anything to him. Even if the dagger did manage to hurt Ayush's chest, unless there was a fatal heart injury, Ayush would be able to heal himself in just a few days.
Well… you almost killed me…!" Ayush said mockingly.
"You guys, kill his men, except him, and let me meet him in the night, in the middle of the village."
Ayush looked at the guards summoned by the system and ordered them.
"Yes, Your Highness."
As he spoke, all of the dozen men of the scar-faced group were captured instantly and killed by the guards.
Seeing his men being killed, the scar-faced man dragged his injured body, especially his lower body, which had been mainly kicked by Ayush.
He didn't have the strength to get up.
"Sir… please… let me go…! I know I am at fault… please…"
Before he could even plead, his hands were severed by the guards.
"Ahh…" the man screamed in pain.
But despite his agony, he still managed to say, "Didn't you hear, he said you can't kill me…" The man groaned in pain, looking at the main guard and asking.
"Hehe… His Highness indeed said we can't kill you, but it doesn't matter if we cut off your hands, as long as you don't die."
Meanwhile, Ayush had already left the scene and made his way to the village chief. After refreshing himself, they suddenly heard the system notification.
"Ding!"
"Congratulations to the host! As a strong leader of the future, you must be kind, decisive, and stand for justice. You have been awarded 500 system points and a Truth-Speaking Card." (After using this card, anyone will speak the truth for half an hour.)
"Your men have killed 15 people. You are awarded 150 points."
Total SP is, 1150.
(If the host personally kills, it would be 20 points, but since it was your subordinates who killed, it will be halved.)
