001 - What Makes it Hard to Go Home ?

Chapter 43: 40. Another World Again

The moment I open my eyes, I instantly knew that I'm not in the Sky Realm. Aside from that, someone I don't know managed to summon me using the summoning ritual that my friends usually use when they need my help.

The reason I know I'm not in the Sky Realm is the quality of Mana I'm sensing here is horrendous.

I've never experienced Mana quality this bad, even in DxD. After finishing my complaint about the quality of Mana in this place, I start to look around.

...and find many things destroyed and scattered around, and in front of me are two girls with their eyes glowing purple, staring at me.

Seeing their glowing eyes, I know they're the ones who summoned me, but before I can ask them anything, they suddenly fall consciousness.

Before they fall, I quickly catch them both, holding them in my arms. "Their faces... really look familiar..." I murmur as I gaze at their faces.

And then, the headache, like the one I had when I first met Grayfia, comes back. "Urghh! This one again..." I immediately realize that I've met them both before.

"Wait... These clothes and her hairstyle... Isn't she Rin from Fate/stay night?"

I remember watching all the Fate series anime when I was in my world a long time ago. Not gonna lie, that series was really fun to watch.

But I never bothered with the games like Fate/Extra or Fate/Grand Order, so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna miss a lot of thing. But...

"So, is this feeling of being watched? Alaya and Gaia...?" I can also sense that something is currently observing this world. And thanks to the barrier surrounding this summoning circle, they still haven't detected my presence.

But the moment I destroy this barrier, they will immediately sense me. And maybe even Zelretch, a user of True Magic, and other beings would also feel the same.

But meh. I go ahead and destroy the barrier surrounding the summoning circle, then carry Rin and the other woman to a room in this house.

Meanwhile, inside a church located on top of a hill and far from the city, a man with golden hair and eyes crimson like blood is sitting and enjoying his finest quality wine.

In front of him is a man wearing a cassock, examining his hand, which bears a red symbol.

The golden-haired man swirls his wine glass, watching the wine as it circles the glass.

Suddenly, his eyes widen, and he immediately stands up, staring in a specific direction.

The glass he was holding falls, spilling the precious wine. "What's wrong, my king?" The man that examining his hand quickly turns to the person in front of him.

"Looks like you're feeling it too." they suddenly hear another man's voice. Shortly after, a figure dressed in tight, blue clothing and holding a red spear appears beside them.

"Tch. Shut your mouth, cur." the golden-haired man says, still staring in the direction where they both can sense something.

"Well, whatever you say. But I'm sure I've never felt anything like this before." the man with the spear replies.

The priest seems confused about what they're discussing. "Lancer, tell me what you're feeling right now." he asks in an emotionless voice.

"Heh, you'll find out soon enough." the man with the spear says before disappearing from the spot.

And it's not just the two of them who can sense Rei; every being capable of such perception feel the same thing they do.

Even a cloaked woman hiding inside a shrine can sense it. All of them are looking in the same direction, where they can feel this abnormal presence.

Meanwhile, the source of all this is sitting on the sofa in the living room of the Tohsaka mansion.

I'm using the power of the Primal Beast Mithra to see what kind of contract I made with Rin and Sakura. Since I can't casually summon a Primal Beast in this world because of the Counter Force, I can only use Mithra's power through my body without actually summoning it.

Because of that, I can't break the contract that Mithra made, but I could see the context, which made everything clear to me.

Back in the Sky Realm, we'd saved two young girls who had fallen from the sky.

Those two girls were Tohsaka Rin and Tohsaka Sakura. Since I still remembered a bit about Fate/stay night, it was easy for me to help them.

But when they were about to return to their world because the effects of the Primal Beast that summoned them had worn off, I used Mithra to erase the memories of both girls and everyone else.

Before doing so, I gave them both necklaces that contained my power and a magic spell to protect them.

I also put my hypnosis ability to change their father's mind because I knew what would happen to Sakura if I would just let her go home like that.

Additionally, those necklaces have another ability—to hide both of them from Gaia and Alaya—because I wasn't sure what those two would do if they sensed them coming back from another world.

"Well, whatever." I said as I stand up and walk toward the window, looking out from the mansion.

The first thing I need to do whenever I arrive in a new place is to set up a barrier to protect this place.

I can sense a barrier surrounding this mansion, but it's too weak to actually hold anything back except for normal people who don't know about magic.

So, I'm going to reinforce the barrier to the point where it can protect this mansion from anything.

A few hours pass and now it's morning, with the sun starting to rise.

Rin and Sakura are sound asleep in a large bed.

"Ummm..." Rin begins to wake up while rubbing her eyes.

After waking up, she sits up and opens her eyes while looking around.

She sees her beloved little sister sound asleep beside her, and then she takes in her surroundings.

After a few moments, Rin just keeps looking around before finally realizing, "Ahhhhhh!! I overslept!!" she screams when she sees that it's already 6 a.m.

Sakura, who is sleeping soundly, is jolted awake by her sister's scream. "Sister!? Why are you screaming!? Huh, why are you in my room?" Sakura, now awake, notices they are indeed in her room.

"Ahhh, Sakura... I missed my chance to summon Saber." Rin complains as she hugs Sakura.

Sakura, still confused, can only pat her sister's back as she embraces her. After a few moments, Rin calms down, and they begin talking about why they suddenly woke up here.

"So, the last thing you remember is bringing me tea, right? Same as me?" Rin asks Sakura, trying to recall what happened.

Sakura nods since after she brought the tea to her sister, she can't remember anything else.

"That's weird. I'm the same too; I can't remember anything else except the moment when you brought me tea."

But as they discuss this, Rin's stomach suddenly growls, signaling that she is hungry.

"Well, let's go to the kitchen and see what ingredients we have." Sakura suggests as she gets out of bed.

However, as she stands up, she suddenly collapses back onto the bed because her legs are very weak. "Sakura!! What's wrong!?" Rin after seeing Sakura fall, tries to stand up and help her.

But like Sakura, she also collapses as her legs feel extremely weak. "What happened...?"

"It looks like our Od is almost depleted..." Sakura says feeling confused.

"Huh? What the hell happened last night!?" Rin is really frustrated at this point because she still has to go to school later and continue the summoning ritual at 2 A.M. tonight

But her magical energy definitely won't recover that quickly, so she's worried she won't have a chance to summon Saber.

"—!? Sister, your hand!" Sakura suddenly points at Rin's hand, which is resting on the bed.

"What's wrong?" But the moment Rin looks at her hand, she can't find the Command Spells that was previously there.

"What the hell!?!?" Rin screams again.

I can hear Rin's scream for the second time this morning...

Not gonna lie, I didn't expect both of them to wake up already as their magical energy is quite depleted from summoning me to this world. So I thought they would wake up in the afternoon.

Kinda glad I've already made breakfast for them since I had nothing to do after setting up the barrier around this mansion.

So I'm just gonna bring it to them, and I make the plates float behind me as I head towards their room.

Once I reach their door, I start knocking.

"Who's there?" I hear Sakura's voice after a moment of silence.

"I'm the one both of you summoned last night."

After that, I can hear Rin and Sakura discussing something inside the room for a while until Rin finally tells me, "Come inside, but stay by the door."

Well, that's fine. I open the door and enter the room, bringing breakfast for them both. "I've brought breakfast in case you're hungry."

But the moment I see their faces, I notice their surprised expressions, with their eyes wide open, and then suddenly, ""My head—!"" they both yell in pain.

I snap my fingers, and their headaches immediately vanish. I can't really do anything about Mithra's power without summoning Mithra, but I can at least remove their headaches.

"Here, eat this so you can recover your energy." I place the breakfast in front of them, and they immediately smell the delicious aroma.

Since they're both very hungry, they don't hesitate to eat the food quickly.

A few moments later, they finish all the food. "Huh, that was really delicious! I've never eaten anything like that before!" Rin says to me while staring at her empty plate.

"Yeah, this is really delicious; even my cooking doesn't stand a chance against this." Sakura agrees with what her sister said.

Seeing that they had finished their meal, I make the empty plates disappear, which leaves them looking surprised.

"They disappeared? Are you using magic?" Rin asks me.

"Well, you could say that. But let's head to the living room so we can properly introduce ourselves." I say as I leave the room and head towards the living room.

Sakura and Rin stares at their bedroom door, watching the silver-haired man leave.

"Sister... Do you feel the same as I do? It's like I've met him before." Sakura says, clutching her pounding chest.

"Yeah, Sakura... me too. But I also don't feel any connection to him like a Master-Servant bond, so he's definitely not a Servant. And with my Command Spell gone, I don't think I can get the Holy Grail anymore..."

They both sit silently on the bed for a few moments until Sakura stands up and begin walking towards the door. "Well, we don't have anything else to lose. So let's just ask him who and what he is." Sakura opens the door and heads to the living room.

"Huh!? Wait, Sakura, don't go there alone—he could be dangerous!" Rin quickly follows after her sister.
