(3rd person POV)
"Hyaaaah!" A girl was seen swinging her sword in the grassy field.
The person continued to swing her sword for a while before suddenly stopping.
"Fuuuhhhh..." she took a deep breath and closed her eyes to concentrate.
As the wind blew, her blonde hair and clothes moved, and her sword started emitting a green aura.
She opened her eyes and attacked one of the trees in front of her.
"VORPAL BLADE!"
The continuous slashes began to attack the tree, and before long, the tree fell with numerous cuts on its trunk.
The girl looked at the cuts and sighed while shaking her head.
"No improvement yet..."
She's kinda disappointed, because her technique still didn't improve even though she's been practicing it for few months now.
She sheathed her sword and stretched her body.
"Uuaaahhhh... Enough training for today, time to head back."
"Djeeta?"
Suddenly, a voice was heard from the tree next to her, and Djeeta looked towards the source of the sound.
"Ah, Rei? What's up, why are you here?"
(Djeeta PoV)
Rei then approached me and stood in front of me, looking at the fallen tree from my previous attack.
Upon closer look, Rei's appearance was truly unique.... with his pale white hair and beautiful blue eyes.
Since the first time I met him, I had a feeling that he could be trusted, and for some reason, I felt very comfortable talking to him.
Djeeta then shook her head, 'No, why I'm thinking about that!"
Even though this was the first time she had met someone not from this island or more like not from this dimension.
"Wow, Djeeta, you really destroyed this tree hard huh," Rei nodded.
"Yeah... I was practicing my techniques, but so far, there hasn't been any progress at all."
Djeeta sighed, thinking that it had been several months of training without any improvement.
"Hmmmm."
I saw Rei starting to think about something. Since he had been living with us for 3 weeks now, Vyrn and i really missed this feeling.
Our usually quiet home, since my mother passed away and my father hadn't returned from his adventures, suddenly became lively.
Even though it was just adding one person, Rei's behavior and stories about his world always made me and Vyrn interested and happy.
"Jeta.....Djeeta..... hey, Djeeta."
Suddenly, I saw a hand waving in front of me.
"Ah, Rei, I'm sorry, I was thinking about something. So, what's up? Why are you suddenly here?"
"I was just taking a walk, enjoying the atmosphere and the fresh scent."
"As I was walking, I heard your voice and the falling tree, so I thought you were being attacked by a monster."
Rei answered my question while scratching his cheek.
"Besides, looking at the destroyed tree, I felt like a fool who panicked, even though you literally better than me in swordplay."
Ah... Rei was truly a good person. Since he started living in my house, he always offered to cook for our daily needs and helped me bring water for our baths, and played with Vyrn when I was busy helping the villagers in other areas.
Especially when he played with the children there and massaged grandma as a thank you for her training.
Without realizing it, I began to smile and look into his blue eyes.
"utiful..."
Suddenly Rei murmuring something but I didn't hear it.
"Ah, what did you say Rei? I didn't hear it, can you please repeat it?" Djeeta tilted her head.
"No, I didn't say anything." Rei shook his head and denied that he said something earlier.
"Hmm...?, I'm sure you said something earlier but it's okay. So what are you going to do now Rei?" Djeeta chose to accept Rei's excuse.
"Well then, how about we just take a stroll around or if you're tired, we can go to your house?" Rei offered to Djeeta.
"Hmm... I'm not too tired yet, how about we walk around for a bit?"
After that, they both walked aimlessly through the grassy field.
Djeeta's heart raced as she walked alongside Rei through the grassy field at night. The moon hung high in the sky,
As they walked, Djeeta couldn't help stealing glances at Rei, She's still doesn't understand why her chest keep beating hard like this
Lost in her thoughts, Djeeta stumbled over a rock in the grass, causing Rei to reach out and hold her. She looked up at him,
"Woahh be careful Djeeta"
Rei caught me and managed to stop me from falling.
"Ah, sorry Rei, I was thinking about something again," Djeeta diverted her gaze because she was embarrassed to have daydreamed like this several times already.
"Hmm, it's okay, I'm already used to seeing you clumsy like this," Rei replied with a slightly teasing tone.
"Ugh, you!... If you saying that, I'll train you even harder tomorrow."
I was a little angry seeing Rei teasing me like that.
"Hahaha, sorry, I didn't mean to tease you like that."
"Besides, seeing you clumsy like this and then doing something without thinking about the risk is kinda cute you know"
I was surprised to hear Rei call me cute and I looked at him.
But before I could comment, I realized that I was still being hugged by Rei and I panicked and struggled.
"Hey, calm down, don't struggle like that, you might fall."
Hearing Rei's warning, I stopped and he helped me stand up and let go of me.
He still looked at me, but I'm still silent and looking at the ground below then I felt my cheeks were getting a little warm.
"Um, why are you so silent? Is your foot hurt?"
I heard concern in Rei's voice, but I slowly smiled and raised my head.
"I'm okay, let's continue our walk."
I then grabbed Rei's hand and started walking again.
"Hmm, yeah, this isn't so bad either."
Djeeta smiled and they both continued walking in the night, looking at the stars in the sky.
