000 - What Makes The Sky Blue

Chapter 31: 27. Farewell

"Astral Howser"

Tweyen shot her arrows covered in a white aura, and before long, many arrows appeared following her first shots.

The numerous arrows quickly headed towards Rei, and in no time they reached their target.

Rei was still lying on the ground because he couldn't move at all, but he could slowly feel himself regaining the ability to move his body.

He just needed to wait a little longer before fully recovering. Rei watched his red sword spinning fast and cutting down many monsters.

He didn't know how long this had been going on, but he just needed to hold out a little longer.

Suddenly, Rei heard a sound coming towards him quickly. He looked up and saw something white heading his way.

Before Rei could see clearly, the white thing quickly attacked the monsters.

*Boooom* *Boooom* every hit made the monsters explode.

The many attacks kept coming without pause. Seeing all of this making Rei remembered the full auto weapon from his world.

He tried to see what was attacking the monsters and realized it was all arrows.

But who could shoot arrows like this without stopping?

The first thing he thought of was Tweyen, but she should be in the village, which was quite far from here.

Now he understood why in the game, Tweyen was often said to have "eagle eyes that can track prey far beyond the horizon, and she destroys those that wrong her in a hail of shining arrows."

Seeing all of this, Rei becomes more amazed by the Juutenshu. He then smiles and begins to attempt to stand up.

He really doesn't want to lose to Tweyen, even though he has an Astral body, so far he hasn't used his body efficiently at all.

Rei tries to stand up but like before, his body continues to tremble, making it difficult for him.

Rei then looks at the 4 wings on his back, "Come on wings, is this all you're capable of!" Rei muttered towards his wings.

His 4 wings, hearing the voice of their owner, immediately start emitting their aura.

A black aura starts to slowly emerge from Rei's 4 wings.

Soon, the 4 wings also start emitting a black light.

Rei can feel his body healing rapidly when his wings do that.

He can finally stand and his wings begin to unfold widely.

Rei, seeing Tweyen's arrows continue to attack the monsters in front of him relentlessly, finally decides to end it all.

He begins to flap his wings and fly upwards while avoiding Tweyen's attacks.

Rei, floating high in the air, can easily see around him.

Although it is already night making the surroundings dark, Rei can still see as if it were daytime.

He can see many monsters in the direction of the monster group being slaughtered by his red sword and Tweyen's arrows.

"Cast away that flesh, onward to the next dimension..."

The pressure from Rei's aura is starting to get stronger, even Tweyen and everyone in the village can feel it.

But Tweyen, who can see Rei floating in the sky, continues to shoot her arrows because it seems like Rei wants to do something.

"Be dyed in black, and quickly rot in obscurity."

5 black-colored magic circles begin to appear behind Rei.

One very large one right behind Rei and 4 smaller magic circles surrounding the large one.

The five magic circles start to shine brightly, illuminating the area around Rei.

"PARADISE LOST!"

Hundreds of rays of light emerge from the 5 magic circles.

The hundreds of rays of light head straight towards all the monsters in front of him.

Without delay, a very loud explosion occurs, causing all the villagers in the village to cover their ears because the sound is too loud.

Tweyen stops shooting her arrows and looks in amazement at the rays of light emitted by Rei.

She knows Rei is strong but she didn't expect him to be this powerful.

The only thing that confuses her is the aura she feels from Rei... it truly feels malicious even though his nature seems to be the opposite of his aura.

After a while, the noise of the explosion stops and Rei can see everything is destroyed.

The forest in front of him is completely ruined, with only a crater remaining from the aftermath of the explosion from Rei and Tweyen's previous attacks.

Rei also cannot see any remnants of the many monsters, they have all disappeared completely because of his Paradise Lost.

"Good job, Rei."

Suddenly, Rei hears a familiar voice from behind him.

Upon hearing it, Rei looks behind him and sees a woman with very long blue hair floating in front of him.

He then looks around and realizes that time is frozen except for him and the woman in front of him.

"So...what do you want...Lyria?" Rei asks the woman with long blue hair.

The woman, upon hearing her name mentioned by Rei, doesn't feel surprised at all because sooner or later Rei will realize who she is.

She smiles and with her shining blue eyes begins to speak to Rei, "Fufufu~ I knew my Rei would easily figure out who I am."

"Who else has beautiful blue hair like yours other than Lyria, at first I thought it wasn't you because your appearance is really different..."

"...especially in the chest area," Rei mutters as he looks at Lyria's chest in front of him.

That area is really different from the usual Lyria because it is really big compared to what her usually is...

Lyria, upon hearing Rei's muttering, chuckles softly while covering her mouth, "Fufufu, you're the one who said you like this type, even my very long hair like this is because you like long hair."

"And I won't lose to the Draph who has a relationship with you, especially not with Narunee-chan."

Rei, hearing that name, feels like he's heard it before but he doesn't remember who has a nickname like that, and he is more focused on one word mentioned by Lyria.

"What do you mean by 'my Rei'?" Rei asks Lyria with confused tone.

Lyria, hearing Rei's confused tone, laughs, "Hahaha, Rei, you surely remember, when we first met you felt like you had a connection with me, right? You must understand now."

Rei remembers the moment when he first met Lyria, he felt like time suddenly stopped when he and Lyria gazed at each other.

Rei's heart also starts beating fast, and he can't take his eyes off Lyria's blue eyes.

"But that is for the future, now it's time for you to return to the others," Lyria continues.

"Return? Are you going to send me back to Djeeta and the others?"

"Yes, of course, but it's better to bid farewell to Tweyen first, and when you're done, I will send you back." Lyria turns to Tweyen, who is standing at the entrance to her village.

"So, you sent me here to help fight against the many monster hordes and to make one of the Juutenshu owe me a debt of gratitude?" Rei asks Lyria, who is observing Tweyen.

"Hmm, maybe, or there might be another reason," Lyria smiles and then disappears, and time begins to flow again.

Seeing that everything is back to normal, Rei then looks towards Tweyen who is looking at him while waving her hand.

Rei smiles and flies towards her to bid farewell.

Rei lands in front of Tweyen and can hear that the village seems noisy, perhaps because they are a bit panicked by the aura they felt from Rei.

Unfortunately, Rei doesn't have time to explain to them, so he can only rely on Tweyen to do that.

"Welcome back, Rei! Is everything done?" Tweyen tries to find any injuries on Rei's body because earlier he was thrown due to the explosion from within his body.

After Tweyen couldn't find any injuries on Rei's body, she finally sighs in relief.

But when Tweyen sees Rei's face, she can see that Rei is wearing sad expression.

"Rei? Why do you look like that? Isn't everything over?"

Rei, upon hearing that, feels guilty because he suddenly has to leave from here and leave everyone he knows here.

But nevertheless, he has to go back to Djeeta and the others, so Rei takes a deep breath.

"Tweyen... I'm sorry, but it's time for me to leave from here," Rei tells Tweyen.

Tweyen, upon hearing this, is silent for a moment, but then she responds, "Leave? Who's leaving? Do you want to leave, Rei? What do you mean, leave?"

"I have to return to my other friends, and I'm sure they need my help, so I can't stay here too long," Rei feels uncomfortable saying this.

Tweyen, upon hearing this, immediately grabs both of Rei's hands tightly as if afraid Rei will leave just like that.

Rei is surprised by Tweyen's sudden behavior, but before he can ask what Tweyen is doing, he hears Tweyen's voice.

"In that case, I will go with you! I also came here to reconcile with my childhood friend and visit my grandmother, and now that everything is done, I also want to leave this island."

Rei can see Tweyen's enthusiastic expression as she speaks, but he is unsure if the magic Lyria used to send him back to Djeeta and the others can also bring Tweyen.

Rei then explains the magic that brought him here and the magic that will take him back, without mentioning Lyria and the stopped time.

Tweyen, upon hearing this, is silent and lowered her head, then Rei can feel Tweyen squeezing his hands that she is holding.

"So... this is farewell?" Tweyen speaks softly.

Rei, upon hearing what Tweyen said, immediately grabs Tweyen's hands back and squeezes them.

The two of them are currently holding each other's hands.

"Of course not, I'm sure we will meet again in the future," Rei tells Tweyen, and what Rei says is true because sooner or later Djeeta will meet all the Juutenshu.

Rei's whole body starts to be enveloped in a blue light bit by bit, it seems like it's time for Rei to return to Djeeta and the others.

Tweyen currently looking at their hands that holding each other immediately sees Rei's hands starting to be enveloped in a blue light.

She looks up and sees that Rei's whole body is already enveloped in the same light.

"Rei!" Tweyen is worried because she doesn't know what's happening to Rei.

"Calm down, Tweyen... this is the magic that will send me back... it seems like this is a farewell until we meet again," Rei smiles seeing Tweyen's panicked face.

"But there's something I want to say..." Tweyen speaks quickly but Rei's hand starts to become transparent.

Tweyen can no longer hold Rei's hand, and she sighs.

She looks into Rei's light blue eyes with determination.

"I will find you, Rei! I will make sure we can meet again," Tweyen says with a determined look.

Rei, hearing this, can only respond to Tweyen, "Then I will wait for you, Tweyen."

Rei starts to disappear from that place, but he doesn't expect that when he is about to disappear completely, Tweyen will do something.

*Chu* Tweyen kisses Rei's lips quickly, but before Rei can respond, he's already gone from there.

A few moments later, Tweyen is still standing there and looking at the empty space in front of her where Rei was standing before.

She then looks up at the stars in the sky and murmurs, "We will meet again, Rei."

Tweyen then turns and enters the village to explain to everyone what happened.

<~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

That's the end of Juutenshu Tweyen Arc.

Not gonna lie I didn't expect it to be this long, but it's kinda fun writing Tweyen so i kinda went overboard...

Btw the next one gonna be about Vira and Luminiera because Rei already gone for a week so Djeeta and other already recruiting Eugen and Rosetta.
