Chapter 84: Night's in danger?
"That...how old is Night again???" Njal asked while wiping off the buckets of sweat.
"Hmm My Lord is 22 years old" Shade replied after recalling one of his and Night's conversations.
"WHAT?! b-but...clearly that is weapon aura manipulation no? how is t-this possible...by Odin....who is this young man?"
"I cannot tell you that Sir Njal but perhaps once your relationship with My Lord deepens then you can ask him,"
"Phew, you're quite tough huh?" Night said as he looked at the General who somehow looked even worse than he did initially. "But unfortunately, that's all for now, thank you for entertaining me," Night said before stabbing the Draugar General with his double-edged sword.
"Hmm, I wonder what's at the end of the dungeon, how strong is the boss?" Night said as he walked forward, he had an excited look in his eyes, unfortunately, paired with the darkness and his purple eyes, it looked like he was a psychopathic killer.
As he continued forward, Night only found more Generals and soldiers, sometimes he fought multiple Generals at once and sometimes he fought Generals with soldiers but they couldn't really match his skills, with the help of Umbrakinesis, Night could cover even the very rare blind spots he exposed.
Finally, he stood in front of a huge door that read, "Not the boss room",
"Guess even the Gods have a sense of humour, haha," Night chuckled before he entered the room.
A single Draugar with heavy silver armour and fur covering its shoulders sat on a stone seat which was in the centre of the room. The room itself was fairly well lit with torches on the walls and right under the torches were tombs, they were a total of 8 tombs, four on each side and if Night had to guess then those were the tombs of Draugar Generals. Upon using inspection on the Draugar in the centre, he learned that it was a rank higher than the Generals, at least as far as he knew.
"Draugar Duke...hmmm wait a second, I read about this somewhere, wasn't this the boss that Kira and the others lost to because they got PK'd? well, it's not weird that they found some Draugar Duke's outside as well. I'm sure they aren't aware of the Dungeons, anyway, looks like this is going to be hard..." Night said as a drop of sweat fell to the ground and the next second the Draugar Duke's eyes opened.
It was an unusual event, at least for Night, Draugars were skeletal beings, they definitely didn't have eyes or most of the organs, perhaps it was different for the higher-ranked Draugars, regardless, the Draugar Dukes's eyes were silver, they were cold and piercing, a smile broke out on his face as he realized Night was alone.
"Oh? you think just because it's 9v1 I'll lose? interesting, very well bring those Generals out,"
The second Night said that the top of the 8 tombs slid open and bone-like hands were could be seen, soon the Generals stood next to their respective tombs but that wasn't all, Night heard the rattling sound continue, to his surprise he saw, another pair of hands appear from the tomb and soon another set of 8 Generals stood in front of Night.
The Duke looked at Night with a smug grin as if to say, 'What about 17v1?'
"H-hey..now...that isn't exactly fair....." Night said as he was slightly startled at the sudden appearance of the extra Generals.
'It's not going to be impossible obviously, but man...16?? six-f*ckin-teen man...what a cheapskate, well cannot expect much from a corpse now can I? anyway, by the looks of it that, stupid ass Duke isn't going to join the fight, which is definitely good news, it's not like he has a choice if he was to attack he'd probably kill the Generals as well...so you're looking to tire me out huh? good luck with that, you f*ckin moving dog treat' Night stood there wiping off more sweat that appeared on his face.
"Well, let's begin then?"
.
.
.
"Wait!! what's happening!! Guards!! Quickly enter the Dungeon!! Save the Boy!!" Njal screamed at the guards, he was visibly panicked and slightly pale.
"What? what's going on? Sir Njal, what's wrong??" Shade asked as he was concerned for His Lord.
"...Night's in danger..."
