Chapter 74 - The Slum Boy’s Desperate Counterattack (19)
Si Yisi had once modified the serpentine mecha that Ah Tu was possessing, tailoring every adjustment precisely to Ah Tu’s wishes. But in truth, Ah Tu’s greatest wish was to achieve the highest possible compatibility with Si Yisi!
As a result, every inch of this modified serpentine mecha had been adjusted to Si Yisi’s utmost satisfaction. This also meant that the mecha’s synchronization with him was unparalleled!
When he piloted it, it felt as natural as breathing!
Si Yisi rarely relied on external forces, but this time, he fulfilled Ah Tu’s desires, utilizing every piece of the serpentine mecha’s equipment to its fullest potential!
Every cannon shell was launched with pinpoint accuracy at Alina; never missing its mark. This was the true definition of flawless precision! The more Alina fought, the more unsettled she became. She realized that Si Yisi wasn’t just highly proficient in controlling the mecha; he also possessed extraordinary combat skills!
His abilities were comparable to the powerful adversary their Zerg race had once faced; the current Marshal of the Kaz Empire.
A formidable enemy!
But this was as far as he can go! A dark gleam flashed in Alina’s eyes. She took a step back, seemingly unable to match Si Yisi, appearing as though she was about to be struck at a vital point by the incoming energy blast!
At that moment, an unexpected turn of events occurred!
Taking advantage of the instant when Si Yisi was fully focused on Alina’s every move, Tru suddenly pressed the detonation button!
Yes, from the very beginning, the black stones buried underground had been laced with timed explosives. These explosives had been developed in a high-risk laboratory and were smuggled out by Tru along with the black stones! Their power was exaggeratedly strong; enough to obliterate half a small planet!
This was the moment Tru had been waiting for. With this, he could not only eliminate Si Yisi and secure his place as the true Third Imperial Prince, but he could also become a hero for slaying a significant Zerg threat and resolving the planetary crisis!
Two birds with one stone; Tru made his decision in mere seconds!
Sure enough, he soon heard Si Yisi let out a muffled groan. After several explosions, Tru, wearing a victor’s grin, charged into the billowing gray smoke left in the aftermath!
He saw Si Yisi, clad in mecha, staggering unsteadily. Seeing this, Tru’s killing intent surged; if even an explosion of this magnitude hadn’t finished him off, then he would personally deliver the final blow!
Tru, still in his mecha, wielded a broad energy sword and slashed it directly at Si Yisi’s waist, aiming to cut him in half!
But just as the energy sword came down, a monstrous claw suddenly clamped down on it!
Inside his cockpit, Tru’s pupils contracted in shock. The Si Yisi before him had somehow changed into that female Zerg!
Alina’s face was twisted with fury, half of it covered in gruesome wounds. Her claws gripped Tru’s mecha with terrifying ease, tearing it apart as if it were mere paper!
Tru was momentarily stunned but quickly regained his composure. He noticed Alina’s terrible condition but was too blinded by his own ambition to think rationally.
So what if it wasn’t Si Yisi? I can kill them both! This Zerg is injured—she’s definitely not my match!
With cold determination, Tru lunged at Alina again. But just as he extended his hand, his body suddenly went rigid.
“Ugh… cough!”
A surge of overwhelming emotion flooded through him, completely shattering his murderous intent! This emotion compelled him to revere Alina as his queen, to prostrate himself before her throne. I must not, must never harbor a single thought of disobedience!
A feverish flush spread across Tru’s face. Unable to control himself, he knelt before Alina, his mind consumed by a single, relentless command.
Obey her. Obey her. Obey her!
She is… a being superior to me!
Tru, now covered in dust and debris, knelt like a loyal hound, desperately seeking even a single glance from Alina… just one glance!
In the reflection of a nearby puddle, his own eyes stared back at him; horrifying, alien, insect-like eyes! A sudden realization struck him, something was emerging from his body…
Hiss!
A long, gray, rat-like tail sprouted from his back!
That tail; it was the mark of the lowest, most despised caste among the Zerg!
No—this can’t be real! Fight it, fight it, fight it… No, no, no! How could I—how could I possibly be one of the lowliest Zerg?!
Tru’s mind roared in madness, but in reality, he could only let out pitiful whimpers; like a begging dog!
Alina stood high above him, pressing her foot down on Tru’s head. Her blood-streaked face was filled with nothing but contempt!
“The Third Imperial Prince of the Empire—hah!”
What… did she mean?! A fleeting thought flashed through Tru’s mind!
After grinding her foot against Tru’s head a few times in a humiliating manner, Alina turned her scornful gaze toward Si Yisi. Her golden slit pupils gleamed with an icy light, filled with intense malice, mocking and derisive.
As if she were watching a joke unfold!
Yet, the one she treated as a joke, Si Yisi, remained unfazed. He stood quietly before Alina, no longer clad in the mecha that Ah Tu had possessed!
“How… is this possible?!” Alina’s expression cracked in an instant. Her mockery and contempt were still frozen on her face, turning her into the very joke she had intended to make of him!
“You couldn’t have… You couldn’t have broken free from the Zergs’ genetic control! You were nothing more than a failed experiment!”
“Well, I suppose that must be a disappointment for you.” A shallow cut marked Si Yisi’s cheek, but other than that, he was almost entirely unscathed, despite the explosion that had left Alina gravely injured!
He raised that crude wooden sword!
And just like dissecting a mecha, he split open Alina’s tough Zerg shell!
“AHHH—!”

Meanwhile, Huo Jinren sprinted at full speed, racing to rescue other students. A swarm of young Zerg larvae trailed closely behind him, while his hands and shoulders carried injured students from Anderson Military Academy!
Some of these very students, had once mocked him.
Gritting his teeth, Huo Jinren pushed forward; I can do this. So why couldn’t he save them too?
He turned abruptly, eyes sharper than ever before, and fired an arrow from his crossbow! But weapons were limited! Just as his ammunition ran out and he felt himself reaching the breaking point, a blinding light descended from afar!
No—it wasn’t light.
It was a familiar silver-glowing tail, sweeping through the air in an instant, slaying all the Zerg larvae that had been chasing him!
Huo Jinren saw Si Yisi dragging two “humanoid creatures” as he approached, step by step. Wherever he passed, a gruesome trail of blood followed in his wake!
And yet, Si Yisi’s clothes were merely a little disheveled.
Huo Jinren was utterly stunned!
Anderson Military Academy, having reacted too late, finally sent a spaceship to rescue the students. However, before they could land, they encountered the stationed Zerg forces on the outskirts of the desolate planet!
A brutal battle erupted instantly, leaving no time to worry about the missing students!

Tru knelt on the ground, clawing frantically at his golden Zerg eyes as he stared into a water puddle. His fingers raked deep wounds across his face, blood dripping down from the corners of his eyes. But within mere seconds, those wounds healed completely!
“I’m not a Zerg… How could I possibly be a Zerg?!”
Alina, now a prisoner, showed not the slightest awareness of her captive status. She sneered as she watched Tru squirm and crawl at her feet.
“You’re right—you’re certainly not one of our noble Zerg… Tsk!” Half of Alina’s blood-soaked face twisted into a savage grin, as terrifying as a demon from the depths of hell.
“You’re…the Third Imperial Prince of the Kaz Empire! Ahahaha!! Oh… The Third Prince, who was tampered with by our subordinates.” Her gaze brimmed with malice.
Si Yisi watched this absurd spectacle unfold, but his expression remained entirely unmoved!
21 years ago, cultists devoted to the Zerg had kidnapped Tru as a newborn to use him in their experiments. They injected both him and another infant they had taken with a drug called Convergence Serum; a substance containing the genes of the lowest-ranking Zerg.
This Convergence Serum would, under specific conditions, transform a human into one of the most inferior types of Zerg.
Tru, as the Third Prince, had been their most valuable test subject. And Si’an–he had been the initial experimental subject, the test run before the real trials began.
It was because of this unknown history that, whenever Lisa spoke of the past, she reacted with such overwhelming emotion. She believed it was her fault for losing Si’an; even though he was eventually found, this became an unshakable knot in the heart of that fragile and timid mother!
Later, when the cultists “returned” Tru to the imperial family, they were actually plotting an earth-shattering scheme!
They wanted Tru to ascend to the highest position, allowing the Zerg to be personally elevated by humanity onto the supreme throne!
“This is impossible… No, no… That’s exactly why—I am the true Third Prince! I AM the Third Prince!”
Tru’s hand, which had been clawing at his own eyes, suddenly froze. His expression twisted, and as if grasping at a final lifeline, he lunged forward, trying to bite through Alina’s throat!
“I am the Third Prince of the Kaz Empire, the rightful heir to the throne! Everything happened because of the Zergs’ conspiracy!”
Kill this Zerg, kill her… As long as this evidence was erased, I’ll remain the pure, untarnished Third Prince! All of this…this bloodshed and slaughter… had been orchestrated by the Zerg from beginning to end!
“Hahahahaha!” Alina suddenly burst into wild laughter, baring her sharp teeth.
“Is His Highness the Third Prince trying to claim that we Zerg manipulated your mind and forced you to hatch the young Zerg larvae and murder your own comrades?! We would never stoop so low!”
“The Convergence Serum is merely a catalyst that transforms a human into a Zerg; the true cause is the ugly, twisted emotions that already exist within your heart! If you were truly pure and innocent, there’s no way the Convergence Serum could have reversed your nature and turned you into a Zerg!”
“What’s more… once the transformation is complete, you will never be able to return to being human!”
