Power Up (III) [ORIGIN UNIVERSE]
“Mother of Chakra?” Kushina asked as she inclined her head in confusion. She had no idea what this woman was talking about, but the red eye on the woman’s forehead worried her. It felt like the eye could see right through her Soul… “Mito-sama? Why are you here? How are we here?” Kushina gushed out when she finally noticed Mito standing beside her.
However, instead of answering Kushina, Mito simply stared at Kaguya as intently as she could… Even ignoring the title, she could tell that Kaguya was not a normal woman, especially with the eyes she possessed… The legend of the Sage of Six Paths might have disappeared with time, but Mito knew for certain that the Sage of Six Paths was real.
“Is that Rinnegan?” Mito asked, completely ignoring Kushina, which made the younger woman pout much to Kaguya’s amusement.
“You mean this eye?” Kaguya asked as she raised her left arm and revealed the Rinnegan in her arm, surprising both Kushina and Mito. Previously all the eyelids on her arm were closed so neither Mito nor Kushina noticed the eyes until Kaguya pointed them out. “Yes, this is the Rinnegan” Kaguya finally confirmed as she revealed the rest of the eyes on her arm.
Kushina gasped at the sight of implanted Sharingan while Mito simply pursed her lips in displeasure. Neither of them were alive when the Uchiha clan was butchered at the orders of Danzo Shimura, so the idea of someone possessing so many Sharingan was simply horrific…
“How did you get so many eyes?” Mito asked with a tightness in her voice. It felt like Mito would attack Kaguya at any moment, but the said woman was not worried. Even a puppy would have been more threatening than a puppy right now.
“You have to thank Madara and Konoha for that” Kaguya answered with a smile on her face. After all, if the Uchiha clan hadn’t been butchered then it would have been impossible for Madara and Obito to get their hands on so many Sharingan eyes.
“Madara? What does he have to do with this?” Mito asked as she started to wonder why the woman was bringing up Madara, especially when Madara was killed by her husband way before the first Shinobi war broke out, and considering how old Kushina was, the woman must have reincarnated them sometime in the future.
“Did you think your husband killed Madara?” Kaguya asked in a cold tone. “Madara used a Genjutsu known as Izanagi to fool everyone and escape. He implanted the cells of your husband and gained the ability to use both Senjutsu and Wood Release and at the end of his natural lifespan, he also awakened the Rinnegan” Kaguya explained slowly.
“Then Kohana went and decided to get rid of the Uchiha clan. So, Madara was able to get his hands on so many eyes” Kaguya added after a moment.
“You are lying, Kohona would never do that to their founding clan” Kushina protested hotly even though Mito believed otherwise. By the time she breathed her last, only a few handful of members of the Senju were left. It was obvious that they were being targeted… At first, Mito had thought that it was the work of the other villages, but later she realized that not just that, but someone from inside Konoha was selling out the Senju clan members.
“They did” Kaguya insisted without bothering to argue. If the girl wanted to argue with her then she was free to do so, but Kaguya wasn’t willing to humor the delusional fool.
“Who are you and why are we here?” Mito finally asked, deciding to change the topic.
“Didn’t I just introduce myself?” Kaguya asked in a bland tone.
Mito internally scowled… She would have forced the woman to answer, but she did not have any Chakra to do so. “What do you mean by ‘Mother of Chakra’ and what have you done to me?” Mito finally asked, losing her patience.
“I am the progenitor of Chakra… Where do you think Chakra came from? I am the first one to ever possess Chakra in this world and later I passed Chakra to my own children, Hamura Otsutsuki and Hagoromo Otsutsuki. Hagoromo later came to be known as the Sage of Six Paths… You might have heard of him” Kaguya explained.
“The Sage of Six Paths was real and you are his mother?” Kushina asked dumbly.
“Yes. As for what I have done to you, I have reclaimed what I have given to the humans. After all, Chakra belonged to me, to begin with” Kaguya explained instead of answering Kushina.
Both Kushina and Mito stared at Kaguya in complete horror… “Then Chakra is gone…” Mito muttered under her breath, not knowing what else to say.
“And the reason why I brought you here is your knowledge… I want to learn Fuinjutsu and you two are the only ones I know who can help me” Kaguya finally revealed, making both Mito and Kushina freeze at her words. The two Uzumaki exchanged a look before a look of defiance appeared on their face.
“There is no way we are going to help you dattaba!” Mito growled as glared at Kaguya defiantly. To be honest, she had so many questions. She wanted to know what happened to Konoha and her granddaughter, but now was not the time for that. There was a reason why three of the Great Villages formed an alliance and attacked Uzushiogakure. Fuinjutsu was a fearsome skill to possess and they had no idea what this woman could do with such a dangerous skill in her possession.
“Keep dreaming dattabane!” Kushina exclaimed defiantly as she glared at Kaguya.
“You two misunderstood me…” Kaguya said softly as she shook her head, making Mito and Kushina frown. “I never said your opinions are going to be relevant” Kaguya added and she disappeared from her position before appearing right in front of Mito, surprising the woman. Kaguya grabbed her by the throat and lifted her up in the air before placing a hand on top of her head.
Mito tried to struggle for a moment before her body slackened as Kaguya pulled her Soul out of her body… Kushina could simply stare at Kaguya in horror as Mito’s body turned into dust. She couldn’t even see the pale woman move. Kushina knew that she could not fight the woman so she decided to do the only thing she could have done at the moment and decided to run… However, before Kushina could go far, she lost her footing and started to float in the air.
“Wha-What?” Kushina stuttered out as she started to flail around, but her struggle was for the nought as she simply flew into Kaguya’s waiting hand.
“Such a foolish girl…” Kaguya said with a look of pity on her face, earning a look of confusion from Kushina, but before she could ask what Kaguya was talking about, Kaguya placed her hand top of Kushina’s head and pulled her Soul out of her body. The corpse in her hand turned into dust and Kaguya nodded her head in satisfaction as she copied Kushina’s memories. She released the Soul and decided to return to her chambers.
Her suspicion was right, she was able to learn a lot more about Fuinjutsu from Mito and Kushina… Minato and Tbirama might have been good with Fuinjutsu, but Kushina and Mito were simply out of this world… No one could be compared with either of them when it came to Fuinjutsu… Kaguya smiled as she decided to get to work and start practising her calligraphy…
~~One Month Later~~
A month passed away in the blink of an eye since Kaguya had summoned both Kushina and Mito and absorbed their memories. However, Kaguya had not been resting on her laurels for the past month. She had been training continuously to master everything she wanted to learn. While Fuinjutsu was still a work in progress, she had managed to improve by leaps and bounds in other regards.
While Kaguya was still far from becoming a Taijutsu specialist, she could fight the likes of Kaksahi to a standstill. If she decided to all of her powers then even people like Madara, Hashirama and Gai would be no match for her…
While there was still room for development when I came to Taijutsu, Kaguya had managed to master both Kagura Shingan and Adamantine Sealing Chains. The two techniques were not that hard to learn, but it was not for everyone. You could either do it or you couldn’t. All the major bloodlines like the Uchiha, Hyuga, Senju, and Uzumaki came directly from her so it was obvious that she would possess all of their abilities.
Kaguya simply needed the knowledge of the techniques and from there, it was easy for her to recreate them…
However, neither Kagura Shingan nor Adamantine Sealing Chains were her biggest gains in the past month… Her biggest gain was Senjutsu… Kaguya had finally managed to learn how to use Senjutsu and the boost she received from Senjutsu was simply exhilarating… Kaguya stared at herself in the mirror before leaving her room. Now that she had mastered Senjutsu, it was time to find Issihiki and kill him for once and all…
Kaguya made a hand sign. “Sage Art: Wood Clone Jutsu” Kaguya muttered and five tree roots came out of the ground before transforming into her exact replica. “Make as many Shadow Clones as you can and order them to spread out. I want Issihiki found” Kaguya ordered and her clones made a hand sign before thousands of her replicas appeared in a cloud of smoke. As soon as the smoke dispersed, her clones started to open portals and leave.
A smile bloomed on her face… Senjutsu was more amazing than she ever thought. Previously she needed to weave through hand signs to cast a Jutsu and she knew that she could cut off some hand signs with continuous training, but with Senjutsu, only one hand sign with just one hand was enough to cast a Jutsu…
Now that all of her clones were gone, Kaguya decided to leave too. After all, Zetsu was waiting for her at the base of the God Tree. Kaguya opened a portal and stepped through. The next moment she arrived at the base of the God Tree where Zetsu was waiting for her. As soon as he noticed her arrival, he bowed his head to greet his mother.
“Forgive me, Mother, as I have once again disappointed you” Zetsu apologized as he kneeled in front of her.
“It is alright, Zetsu. You have done what you could” Kaguya calmly waved her hand, trying to dismiss his guilt. “Issihiki is a member of my clan. He must have gone into hiding when he noticed my return” Kaguya explained. At first, she felt kind of awkward while talking to her son, but she was starting to get comfortable around him. It wasn’t like she hated him or anything, she simply had problems expressing her feelings to him.
“But… But I still feel like I have disappointed you” Zetsu said while looking down at the ground.
“Like I said, it is alright, my son” Kaguya said softly as she used her Tenseigan to raise him from the ground. “Look at me, son” Kaguya urged and Zetsu hesitantly raised his head to look at her. “You have already proven yourself. If it wasn’t for you then I wouldn't be here. It is thanks to you that I am free… So, don’t ever think that I would be ever disappointed in you” Kaguya said firmly while staring straight into his eyes.
Zetsu stared at her for a few moments, not knowing how to react before a smile finally bloomed on his face…
“By the way, congratulations Mother, for finally mastering the Senjutsu” Zetsu wished in a gleeful tone while staring at her in pure devotion.
Kaguya smiled at her son before letting him down… She raised her hand and ruffled his hair. “I still have a long way to go even though I want to perfectly master Senjutsu” Kaguya revealed. Yes, it was true that she could use Senjutsu, but her mastery was yet to be perfect. Right now, Kaguya needed to absorb the Nature Chakra inside her body to use Senjutsu, which was going to be inconvenient, considering she was planning to eventually leave this world.
Kaguya needed to find a way to take the Nature Chakra with her without taking the whole world with her… Maybe… Maybe… She could store the Nature Chakra inside the Kamui Dimension? No no… That would not do as the energy would eventually disperse as the Kamui dimension could not produce Nature Chakra on its own. She needed to find a way to store the Nature Chakra in such a way that it could not leak or disperse with time…
Then all of a sudden, an idea popped inside her head… The Tailed Beasts were just a mass of Chakra and the Jinchurikis could channel their Chakra through their body thanks to the way their Seals were designed. Maybe, she could place a seal like that on herself to store Nature Chakra… Kaguya did not know if those seals could store Nature Chakra, but if not, then she could probably design one from scratch.
With the knowledge of Mito and Kushina, it wasn’t going to be that hard…
Even if did not work, it wouldn’t hurt to try at least… Then all of a sudden a portal opened a Shadow Clone stepped through the portal. “We have found him” The Clone spoke, breaking her out of her musings.
Kaguya smiled coldly. ‘Looks like we are about to meet again, Issihiki…’ Kaguya mused as she followed the Clone through the portal with Zetsu following behind her…
