One Piece:Becoming the King of the World from the Rocks Era

Chapter 285: Chapter 285: Cloud Homies

"Kaya, just like we discussed, go ahead and create the cloud," Li Yuan instructed Kaya.

"Yes, Captain!" Kaya responded, swiftly conjuring a solid white cloud, about the size of a mattress, floating in the air.

"Linlin, let's use this cloud to create it. Show me the results," Li Yuan said, pushing the cloud towards Charlotte Linlin.

"Mom, Mom, this is easy!" Linlin exclaimed. She understood what Li Yuan envisioned and began her work. In just a minute, the cloud transformed into a Homie, retaining its cloud form but now with facial features and intelligence.

"Mom, Mom!" the newly created Cloud Homie exclaimed, echoing Linlin's signature phrase.

"Not bad, not bad. It really works!" Li Yuan said, jumping onto the Cloud Homie and testing its solidity with a few stomps.

"Take me for a flight around the sky!" he commanded.

"Mom, Mom, off we go!" The Cloud Homie, excited by its newfound existence, soared into the sky, carrying Li Yuan with it.

"Though not fast, the speed is comparable to a basic Zoan-type bird user," Li Yuan assessed after a few laps, satisfied as he returned to the Hades.

"Mom, Mom, Li Yuan, I didn't know you gave the Cloud-Cloud Fruit to this little girl. These Cloud Homies are excellent! If we partner on this, I want half of them!" Charlotte Linlin remarked, eyeing Kaya eagerly.

Linlin had her own Homies like Zeus and Prometheus, but they were personal and couldn't be mass-produced for her children. The Cloud Homies, however, could be made in quantity with Kaya's help.

Such flying Homies would be immensely beneficial to any pirate crew!

"No problem, we'll split the Cloud Homies fifty-fifty," Li Yuan agreed. Producing them required both his materials and Linlin's crafting ability, making an even split fair.

"Mom, Mom, little girl, make more clouds quickly! I can't wait to equip my children with Cloud Homies!" Linlin urged Kaya.

Under Linlin's intense gaze, Kaya felt a bit nervous but calmed herself by reminding herself of Li Yuan's presence. With him there, she knew she was safe, so she confidently began producing more Sky Island clouds.

As a Logia-type Cloud-Cloud Fruit user, Kaya could generate as many clouds as her stamina allowed.

Kaya and Linlin worked seamlessly, creating a production line that Li Yuan observed with satisfaction. As they continued, the Hades filled with Cloud Homies, occupying much of the ship's deck and interior.

Once the ship was adequately stocked, Barrett stepped in to assist Linlin in creating Gravity Homies, ensuring both types were shared equally between them.

The entire process took a day, and as they concluded, Linlin couldn't hide her delight at the bounty of Cloud and Gravity Homies.

"Mom, Mom, this is wonderful! Li Yuan, would you like to visit my Cake Island for some delicious cake?" Linlin offered, pleased with their collaborative success.

"No thanks, I'm not interested in cake. If there's nothing else, I'll be on my way," Li Yuan replied, waving off the offer.

"Wait!" Linlin called as Li Yuan turned to leave.

"Is there something else, Linlin?" Li Yuan asked curiously.

"Mom, Mom, it's nothing much. I just wanted to ask if you know why the Roger Pirates stole a copy of the Poneglyph from me and then went to fight you? Do you know what they wanted it for?" Linlin inquired.

"I have no idea. The Roger Pirates only came to gauge our strength, so we fought, and then they left," Li Yuan lied smoothly, showing no signs of deceit.

"Alright, I won't pry into that. I actually wanted to ask for your help in reconciling with the giants of Elbaf and gaining their friendship. If you agree, I can offer you a larger share of our future deals!" Linlin proposed earnestly.

This was her true aim! Linlin had long desired to mend relations with Elbaf and harness the power of the giants, but past conflicts had led to animosity.

With the Infinite Pirates' strong ties to the giants, Linlin saw Li Yuan as a bridge to achieving her goal.

"Linlin, I can introduce you to the giants, but whether you can reconcile with them depends on you. I can't promise anything beyond that," Li Yuan replied.

For him, it was a simple favor, merely an introduction. Whether Linlin could mend ties with the giants was up to her efforts.

"Mom, Mom, really? That's fantastic!" Linlin exclaimed, thrilled at the prospect of fulfilling her long-held dream.

"Bring some Gravity Homies when you go. The giants love them," Li Yuan advised.

"Mom, Mom, thank you so much, Li Yuan!" Linlin said gratefully.

"Don't mention it; we're good partners," Li Yuan smiled.

Linlin's Soul-Soul Fruit abilities were invaluable to the Infinite Pirates, so Li Yuan was happy to lend her a hand.

After arranging to visit Elbaf together, Li Yuan left Totto Land with his ship laden with Cloud Homies.

"Yadina, distribute a suitable Cloud Homie to each officer. Save the rest for later, in case anyone else needs one," Li Yuan instructed upon returning to the Infinite Sea.

"Don't worry, Husband. I'll allocate the resources wisely," Yadina assured him.

She managed the Infinite Pirates' affairs, including resource distribution.

World Pirates:

News of the Infinite Pirates' Cloud Homies spread quickly, even making the papers. Li Yuan hadn't hidden their existence, so the information leaked easily.

"Brother, look! These Cloud Homies are exactly the flying tools we need!" World exclaimed, showing the newspaper to Bin Jack.

He had long sought a flying Devil Fruit, and the Cloud Homies, capable of carrying people and cargo, perfectly matched his vision.

With them, he could drop explosive rocks from high altitudes without fear of detection.

"These are in the hands of the Infinite Pirates. Acquiring Cloud Homies from Li Yuan will cost us," Bin Jack noted.

"It doesn't matter. To gain something, you must give something. You taught me that. Besides, the Infinite Pirates are strong; we can't steal from them. Trading is our best option," World reasoned.

"Alright, I'll call Li Yuan and see if we can negotiate a deal," Bin Jack agreed.

"I'll call right now!" World declared, dialing the Transponder Snail.

"World, I didn't expect a call from you. What's the occasion?" Li Yuan answered, surprised by the unexpected contact.

He had profited greatly from World before, acquiring half of the Marines' explosive rock supply and the extraction technology, thanks to a tip-off from World.

Li Yuan appreciated World's unwitting assistance, which had allowed him to gain valuable resources.

"Li Yuan, I'll get straight to the point. I want to purchase some of your Cloud Homies," World stated.

"World, you should know that many are eager to buy Cloud Homies, but I haven't sold a single one," Li Yuan replied.

"But since our past collaboration was so pleasant, I can sell you three. However, I don't need money; that's the least of my concerns," Li Yuan chuckled.
