...

"The Land of Love and Toys," Kizaru drawled, his voice laced with sarcasm. "Quite the fairytale aesthetic. I suppose only Big Mom's Whole Cake Island could rival it. However," he continued, his tone turning somber, "I can't help but hear the cries of the citizens. Tell me, how do you manage it?"

His right hand shimmered as golden particles coalesced, forming a radiant light saber. Its sharp edge and explosive aura were palpable, much like Aokiji's ice saber and Ian's Zanpakuto, a manifestation of their respective abilities.

"I'm sure I'll find out after I defeat you. After all, these toys didn't exist before Doflamingo usurped the throne. The island's population has been steadily declining, and if I recall correctly, the former king wasn't a tyrant."

"Some sort of Devil Fruit power, I presume? Much like Crocodile's attempt to seize Alabasta through arms dealing, Doflamingo's machinations here warrant the eradication of the Donquixote Family."

Whoosh!

In a flash, Kizaru vanished, reappearing instantly before the Donquixote executives. His light saber, Ama no Murakumo, sliced through the air, a brilliant golden arc of energy hurtling towards them.

Trebol, Pika, Monet were too slow to react. Kizaru’s attack descended upon them before they could even attempt to evade. In a desperate attempt to defend themselves, they combined their powers.

Boom! Even their combined efforts were futile against an Admiral’s might. Monet's Snow-Snow Fruit barrier shattered, Pica's massive stone golem was cleaved in two, and Trebol's sticky bombs were bisected mid-air.

Shink! The golden energy wave continued its relentless advance, slicing through the three executives, leaving deep gashes across their bodies. Their eyes widened in terror and despair as they collapsed, blood splattering across the ground.

“So this is the power of an Admiral…” That was their final thought as darkness consumed them.

Even the palace roof was partially destroyed. Kizaru's power was evident, a stark contrast to his seemingly sluggish performance against the Supernovas and Luffy.

"Die, Kizaru!" A shrill voice echoed from above. Pica's masked face materialized in the sky, his body rapidly growing in size.

Within seconds, he towered over the battlefield, a colossal giant nearly a hundred meters tall, his fist the size of a building.

He brought his massive fist down, like a meteor crashing towards the earth.

Hum!

A blinding golden light converged at Kizaru's fingertips, then erupted in a brilliant beam, aimed directly at Pica’s chest.

Whoosh! The golden laser pierced through the giant's body, triggering a massive explosion that obliterated half of Pica's torso.

“Impressive speed. But can you dodge this?” Kizaru smirked, observing Pica’s desperate attempt to evade his attack. He had utilized his Observation Haki to pinpoint Pica’s location.

Yet, the giant had managed to escape, albeit narrowly.

“However, I am a Marine Admiral. I can’t allow you to run amok. It would be a disgrace to my reputation. Besides, a delightful afternoon tea awaits me. So…”

As he finished speaking, Kizaru transformed into a beam of light, soaring into the sky. He raised his hands, a golden aura swirling around him.

Hum! A blinding light, like a miniature sun, materialized above Dressrosa. Then, countless golden beams of light rained down upon the island, like a Sacred tempest.

“Yasakani no Magatama!”

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Golden energy waves and laser beams collided, creating a cacophony of explosions, a scene of apocalyptic destruction.

Even in the New World, battles of this magnitude were rare. The citizens of Dressrosa watched in terror, their faces etched with fear and disbelief.

Some recognized the golden light, the signature attack of Admiral Kizaru. The remaining Donquixote executives cautiously approached the palace.

“That’s… That’s a Marine Admiral! What’s he doing here?”

“An Admiral mobilized personally? Is he targeting Doflamingo? He’s a pirate, but he’s also a government-recognized Warlord. And hasn't he been ruling this island peacefully? Why would…”

They watched in horror as the devastating explosions rocked the island, sending shockwaves rippling through the air. Even seasoned pirates were stunned.

Aside from the Yonko, and the Warlords, few individuals warranted the attention of an Admiral.

Due to Sugar's Hobby-Hobby Fruit, the citizens had lost their memories of their transformed loved ones. In their minds, Doflamingo, like Crocodile before him, was a hero king, a savior of Dressrosa, much like Crocodile had initially appeared in Alabasta.

...

The sky above Dressrosa was ablaze with golden light, explosions echoing through the air as Pica's giant form was repeatedly bombarded. Even the arriving executives were caught in the crossfire.

“Oh dear, this is bad. They’ll likely survive, but Sengoku-san won’t be pleased. Who knew there were so many Devil Fruit users here?” Kizaru muttered, ceasing his attack.

His Observation Haki scanned the battlefield, confirming that the executives were still alive, though severely injured. He descended back to the ground.

The palace was reduced to rubble, the surrounding sunflower fields ablaze, their charred petals swirling in the air, a strangely beautiful sight amidst the destruction.

However, as he landed, Kizaru’s expression shifted. He noticed that several toys in the crowd were reverting back to their human forms. Others clutched their heads in agony as forgotten memories flooded their minds.

Beneath the facade of peace and prosperity, a dark secret had been hidden. For years, under Doflamingo’s rule, Dressrosa had been shrouded in an illusion of tranquility.

Beneath this veneer of peace lay a horrifying truth. The living toys, a unique product of Dressrosa, were once human beings, transformed by Sugar’s power.

Sugar's Hobby-Hobby Fruit affected everyone equally. Even powerful figures like Admirals and Yonko could fall victim to its power if they were caught off guard. Her innocent, childlike appearance was deceptive. Without sufficient information, who would suspect such power from a little girl?

“What a Scary Devil Fruit,” Kizaru muttered, his usual playful demeanor replaced by a rare look of seriousness.

While Logia-type Devil Fruits were generally powerful, even Smoker’s Smoke-Smoke Fruit had been nearly unstoppable in the first half of the Grand Line, where Haki was uncommon,

this particular Devil Fruit was on a different level. Doflamingo’s boast about eliminating Fujitora wasn’t entirely unfounded.

After all, a Marine wouldn’t harm a child. And at the time, no one even knew of Sugar’s existence, let alone her powers.

Unless, like Ian, one possessed prior knowledge, but even then, overcoming her ability wouldn’t be easy. Years later, Kizaru would still shudder at the memory of this encounter.

...

The battle for Dressrosa ended with the complete annihilation of the Donquixote Family.

However, the fallout from the Dressrosa incident had only just begun. With Sugar incapacitated, the toys and transformed humans reverted to their original forms, plunging Dressrosa into chaos. Thanks to Kizaru's presence, the initial riots were quickly quelled.

However, the underlying social unrest wasn't so easily resolved. For example, a woman, her memories altered by Sugar, had remarried. Now, her original husband had returned.

Such scenarios played out across Dressrosa, leading to violent confrontations and disputes. Kizaru, however, had no interest in mediating these domestic squabbles. As he had done in Wano, he sought out the true leader, the former king, Riku Doldo III, currently disguised as Ricky, the gladiator.

With Riku’s authority and a clear explanation of the events, the chaos gradually subsided. Within three days, order was restored to Dressrosa.

The tragedy that had unfolded in Dressrosa, beginning with Doflamingo’s coup five years prior, was meticulously documented by the World Economic News Paper and spread across the globe within days.

The world reacted with shock and outrage. The smaller nations, especially the 170+ member states of the World Government, were particularly concerned. After all, Dressrosa was a member state, yet it had been usurped by a pirate through treacherous means.

And the perpetrator was a government-appointed Warlord. This instilled fear and uncertainty among the other member states.

They worried that they might be next. The Alabasta Kingdom, located on Sandy Island in the Grand Line, felt a particular kinship with Dressrosa. Just six months prior, they had nearly fallen victim to Crocodile’s schemes.

If not for the timely intervention of Vice Admiral Ian, Alabasta would have been under Crocodile’s control, their fate no better than that of Dressrosa.

Initially, the member states had dismissed the news as propaganda, a Marine ploy to bolster their image and intimidate pirates. The Dressrosa incident, however, proved them wrong. The World Government claimed ignorance,

attributing the events to the unpredictable nature of Devil Fruits. But those in power, especially within the Marines, knew the truth. They were aware of Doflamingo’s actions but lacked sufficient evidence to intervene.

Riku Doldo III, upon learning of the Marines’ mobilization, inquired about the details and discovered that it was Ian, the “Black-Winged Devil,” the Marine Vice Admiral who had shocked the first half of the Grand Line, who had decisively defeated Doflamingo.

Without Ian’s intervention, the Marines would have lacked a justifiable reason to intervene in Dressrosa. The citizens hadn’t sought aid from the Marines because they were under Doflamingo’s control. Any attempt to escape the island would have resulted in civilian casualties. They had been waiting, hoping for a miracle.

...

“Speed is power. Have you ever been kicked at the speed of light?” Kizaru’s voice echoed across the deck of the Marine warship as they prepared to depart Dressrosa. Riku Dold III was reunited with his family, Rebecca finally learned the truth about the soldier who had raised her, shedding tears of joy and sorrow. Kizaru, having eliminated the remaining Donquixote pirates, was escorting them to Impel Down. After all, most of them were Devil Fruit users.

Sugar, with her Hobby-Hobby Fruit, couldn’t be allowed to roam free. Kizaru, standing at the bow of the ship, his gaze suddenly sharpening, vanished in a flash, reappearing in the sky above Dressrosa with incredible speed. He raised his leg, aiming a devastating kick at the approaching figure.

Even in this tense situation, Kizaru maintained his laid-back demeanor, his voice laced with his trademark sarcasm. The approaching figure, upon hearing his strange question,

didn’t flinch or attempt to dodge. Instead, he spread his wings, his legs engulfed in flames, spinning rapidly as he met Kizaru’s light-speed kick head-on. Two colossal forces collided, sending shockwaves rippling through the air.

A deafening roar echoed across the island, the sky momentarily darkening as if the world itself was holding its breath. Crack!

The clashing forces created a spectacle, black lightning crackling through the air as the two powers collided, a maelstrom of raw energy threatening to tear the very fabric of reality apart. All the power in the world seemed concentrated in this single point.

The Marines on the warship and the citizens of Dressrosa, those who remained standing, watched in awe and terror, their hearts pounding in their chests. They had witnessed Kizaru obliterate the palace,

but this was different. This was a direct confrontation, a clash of titans.

Shink!

A soundless, invisible slash.

It was as if the world itself had been cleaved in two, the sky and earth momentarily separated by an invisible force. Then, just as suddenly, everything returned to normal, as if the spectacle had been a illusion.

Kizaru drew his light saber, Ama no Murakumo, its radiant blade clashing against the long sword wielded by the newcomer. His face was finally revealed, partially obscured by a mask and helmet, his eyes hidden behind goggles.

He was tall and muscular, clad in black, a pair of black feathered wings extending from his back. Black gloves concealed his hands, not an inch of skin exposed. Ornate decorations adorned his arms and legs, flames flickering around him. He was one of Kaido's All-Stars,

One of the Three Calamities. A Zoan-type Devil Fruit user, his ancient, Pteranodon form granting him immense power.
