Li Yao also found time to check the live stream and, seeing the comments in Xiao Ze’s broadcast room, finally allowed a slight smile to cross his face.
It wasn’t that he was happy about the changing attitudes of these people; he didn’t care how others judged him.
What made him smile was the thought that hunters who saw this clip would surely have their faith strengthened, and some of those who had wanted to give up their hunter roles may reconsider after watching his performance.
Since he was in a broadcast, he might as well do something meaningful.
The first skill might appear simple, but it was extremely hard to master. In his previous life, countless persistent hunters invested their time and energy to investigate all possible techniques, ultimately consolidating a mature theory.
Li Yao was one of them, and he was all too familiar with the amount of effort put forth by those who researched with him.
So, he decided to share this technique, to spare those who persist as hunters from years of detours, and make the hunter role a powerful contender amongst all the other roles.
However, what he demonstrated, although basic, would be hard to master without extensive practice.
Take Hei An Grape, for example, Li Yao estimated that with diligent practice, he would need two to three years to skillfully master the first technique.
And the second skill was not simply cultivated through diligence; it required a superb neurological response ability and impeccable judgement.
Let alone for ordinary players without a mastery of the Connecting Arrows technique, Li Yao himself had spent eight years honing this technique while both practising his archery and conducting research with a group of veteran hunters.
In the end, Li Yao just floated an enticing but hard to reach pie in the sky for them.
But it was a direction, a guiding light. Thinking back on his past days of groping blindly, Li Yao felt a twinge of a pang.
“What’s the third move called?” Xiao Ze asked.
“It has no name. If I had to name it, I would probably call it ‘Would You Like to Dance’ or ‘Might as Well Waltz’.” Said Li Yao, slowly drawing his bow and getting ready to shoot.
“Well, let’s see your archery skills then.” Hei An Grape still had a sliver of arrogance left. Like how Li Yao did, he positioned his longbow on his back, showing no hint of making a move.
“As you wish, but the result will be the same either way.”
Li Yao shook his head and then immediately fired an arrow. Disappointment flitted across Hei An Grape’s eyes.
Granted, he could not dodge arrows as effortlessly as Li Yao, but he had a skill up his sleeve.
Shadow Roll!
A shadow whizzed past, the arrow didn’t hit Hei An Grape as anticipated by the audience. It didn’t even touch his shadow. “Darn, we got tricked.”
“Does this even qualify as a divine skill?”
“Oh c’mon, we’ve been played.”
The live stream chatroom exploded with messages. What they had been
anticipating turned out to be a disappointment. It was utterly unbearable since
it felt like their intelligence had been insulted.
However, the duel was going on. Right when Hei An Grape had just finished his Shadow Roll…
There was the echoing sound of an arrow piercing through the air.
Thump…
Hei An Grape saw an arrowhead looming right in front of him. He had just finished his Shadow Roll and barely managed to stabilise his body when the arrow was already aimed at his forehead. Hei An Grape turned pale and immediately swayed left and right in an attempt to confuse Li Yao before jumping back.

Yet, he was hit with another arrow. A seemingly unremarkable shot from Li Yao hit him square in his forehead, again.

His health was reduced to a trickle. The duel was pretty much over.
Hei An Grape’s face turned from green to white. He chugged down a Life
Potion, put on a smile, and said, “I admit defeat. As for the title King of
Hunters, I won’t be bringing it up again.”
Li Yao nodded and said, “You’re actually quite skillful.”
“Not in front of you,” Hei An Grape said ruefully. “Here’s your bow. At the current stage, you are probably the only one suited to use it.”
He caressed the Purple Longbow in his hand before passing it to Li Yao.
“Yes, indeed a good bow,” said Li Yao. He took one look at it and fell in love with it. This weapon was probably the top tier for level 10 weapons.
“Don’t just stand there, tell us the specs!”
It wasn’t just Zhao Lei; the rest of the team was also curious. This was a level 10 weapon, after all.
At this stage, only Li Yao could kill a level 10 boss. They realised that the bow must have been obtained from a treasure box, a very rare Gold Treasure Box. Obviously, they were intrigued.

“Divine Bow, indeed! What amazing attributes,” said Zhao Lei, burning with envy.
“Nobody cares about your envy, ” Guardian Angel chimed in.
“What do you mean ‘nobody cares’? Didn’t you see? Even a warrior can use it,” Zhao Lei protested.
“Even if you could use it, you won’t get it,” Guardian Angel retorted, not cutting him any slack.
“Damn it,” Zhao Lei snapped back and flicked his middle finger.
Li Yao immediately replaced his Homemade Bow with the Falcon Bow and checked the attributes again.
“Ahem, guys, the live stream chat is blowing up. Can anyone explain what just happened?” Xiao Ze laughingly interjected.
“Don’t be too modest, sister Ze. You are the top live commentary host; how could you not understand?” retorted Li Yao, who couldn’t be bothered to explain. “Can I stay?”
His question was directed at Hei An Grape.
“If I say so, it will be,” Hei An Grape hesitated then continued, “Though I admire your skills, this mission is extremely important to our three guilds. If you interfere, we become competitors. We won’t clear you out, but it doesn’t mean that we won’t attack you again, so I hope you understand.”
“Mm-hmm,” Li Yao responded. Naturally, he wasn’t naive enough to believe that winning a small bet would lead the three guilds to retreat.
“Feels like Li Yao can’t explain the third move either. Seems rather ordinary to me.”
“I find it ordinary too.”
“Same here, just ordinary.”
“Ordinary my foot! Didn’t you see Grape admitting defeat wholeheartedly?”
“Exactly, Grape is one of the top God Archers. There must be some profound meaning behind the third move since it was able to make him admit defeat.”
“Mm-hmm, there’s no way this is fake. As far as I know, Grape is one of the few hunters recognised by the guild and is qualified for competitions. If he wasn’t truly convinced, would he admit defeat?”
“Just look at his reactions before and after. He was furious initially, but what about now?”
“Although I don’t understand, it feels really amazing.”
“101, Ze got stumped? That’s rare.”
“This is the first time that I’ve seen a technique Ze can’t explain. I’m convinced.”
“666666, to see Ze furrowing her brows. This stream was so worth my time.”
“Li Yao, I lost the bet and even though your excess confidence gets on my nerves, I admit that I’m impressed by this play.”
“Li Yao is awesome.”
Xiao Ze replayed the segment over and over, her furrowed brows eventually relaxed.
“Whoever said I can’t explain the technique, stand up.”.
ps: Comrades, where are your recommendation votes? No one votes unless I ask? My heart is tired and suffocating..
